Abstract

East Kalimantan has very much plant diversity of the various ethnic Dayak. One is a plant Tabar Kedayan (Aristolochia foveolata Merr) contained in Malinau district, empirically efficacious as antidiarrheal, antidote (anti-venom), bidder alcohol for drinkers, to the efficacy of this type of p lant Aristolochia foveolata Merr not scientifically confirmed, this is because scientific research is still at least as well as the information contained bioactive compounds in the roots of Aristolochia foveolata Merr which has not been published and similarly with bio logical act ivity is not widely studied. This study aims to determine the chemical constituents of plants Tabar kedayan phytochemical screening form, which includes the bioactivity test toxicity test method Lethaly Brine Shrimp Test, antibacterial act ivity and antio xidant activity. The results of research on phytochemical screening of chemical co mpounds are alkaloids, tannins and flavonoids. Bioactivity test results on the toxicity test method BSLT 0,5,10,25 and 50 pp m concentration with the percentage of death is 0,40,60,80 and 100% level of to xicity of the ethanol extract of the roots of Tabar kedayan 7.269 ppm LC50 values obtained and included in tinggat highly toxic toxicity is 0-250 ug / ml, to test antibakter in Escherichia co li concentration of 5%, 10%, 20%, and 30% inhibition zones formed with anaverage diameter is 4.45 mm, 6.56 mm, 7.86 mm and 8.01 mm, whereas the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus is in order, with a concentration of 5%, 10%, 20% and 30% inhibition zones formed with an ave rage d iameter is 4.49 mm, 5.83 mm, 6.61 mm and 7.55 mm. Test results obtained antio xidant yellow spots after being sprayed DPPH can be concluded that the ethanol extract has antio xidant power.

Abstract

Rhodamin B merupakan suatu pewarna sintetik berbentuk serbuk berwarna hijau yang digunakan sebagai pewarna tekstil dan sering digunakan untuk mewarnai suatu produk makanan, khususnya saus tomat. Saus tomat yang dijadikan sampel di Pasar Pagi Samarinda sebanyak 5 sampel. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji reaksi warna dan metode KLT. Hasil penelitian menggunakan uji reaksi warna menunjukkan bahwa sampel tidak mengandung pewarna sintetik rhodamin B. Hasil identifikasi dengan kromatografi lapis tipis diperoleh nilai Rf sampel A 0,46, sampel B 0,46, sampel C 0,4, sampel D 0,5 dan sampel E 0,78, nilai Rf baku rhodamin B 0,8. Dari nilai Rf tersebut sampel E mengandung rhodamin B karena warna bercak sampel dan rhodamin B sama yaitu berwarna merah muda dan selisih nilai Rf berada dikisaran ± 0,02 dari Rf baku.

Abstract

Eleutherine palmifolia (L) Merr. is one of the plant that has function as medicine. One of the compound which much contained in ethanol extract of dayak union is flavonoid, so that could separate with purification. The aim of this study is to determine flavonoid levels in purified extract of dayak union root with various drying treatments using UV-Vis spectrophotometry and to find out which drying treatment that obtaine the highest flavonoid levels.Drying treatment of dayak union root simplicia were with direct sunlight for 6 hours (P1), dried by oven with temperature 60ºC for 6 hours (P2), dried by covered with black clothes (P3). Dayak union root simplicia extracted by maceratiin method using ethanol 70%, and purified step by step using n-hexane solvent. Flavonoid levels test of purified extract of dayak union root carried outby UV-Vis spectrophotometry method.The results of UV-Vis spectrophotometry obtained flavonoid levels of purified extract of dayak union root in dried by direct sunlight (P1) was 0.79%, dried by oven with temperature 60ºC (P2) was 1.57%, and dried by coveredwith black clothes (P3) was 1.02%. LSD test shows (P<0.05) the significant differences between flavonoid levels with different drying treatment.

Abstract

Kosmetik merupakan hal penting dalam kehidupan manusia saat ini, karena kosmetik sudah merupakan kebutuhan dan gaya hidup bagi wanita maupun pria, disegala usia. Banyaknya produk kosmetik yang beredar di pasaran dan ditawarkan di berbagai media, mengharuskan masyarakat berhati-hati dalam menentukan produk kosmetik yang akan digunakan. Generasi milenial merupakan usia produktif  banyak menggunakan kosmetika.  Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan informasi tentang kosmetika aman dan memberikan pelatihan cara mengidentifikasi merkuri dalam kosmetika .Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah penyuluhan yaitu memberikan informasi tentang pengertian, fungsi kosmetika, bahan yang dilarang dan bahan berbahaya yang sering digunakan dalam kosmetika. Selain penyuluhan, siswa diberikan pelatihan tentang langkah cerdas memilih kosmetika dengan melakukan cek Klik , mengidentifikasi sediaan kosmetika secara visual dan mengidentifikasi merkuri dalam kosmetika. Selanjutnya siswa diberikan kuisioner yang dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui pemahaman siswa setelah diberi penyuluhandan pelatihan. Kegiatan dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 3 Samarinda. Hasil kuisioner menunjukkan bahwa 98 persen siswa telah memahami bagaimana memilih kosmetika yang aman dan dapat mengidentifiasi kosmetika secara visual dan kosmetika yang mengandung merkuri.

Abstract

Indonesian is still very dependent of soybean imports, so as to reduce the use of soybean need to find substitute materials in the manufacture of soybean. Corn can be an option because apart from being a source of carbohydrates, corn is also an important source of protein in the menu society in Indonesia. The purpose of this study to determine the levels of soybean protein maize (Zea mays) with a combination of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) with visible of spectrophotometry. The research design uses a comparison of corn: soybean as follows: P1 = 80: 20; P2 = 70: 30; P3 = 50: 50; P4 = 30: 70 and P5 = 20: 80. The results of this study indicate that P1 has a protein content of 6.7%, P2 = 8.06% = 10.76% P3, P4 and P5 = 13.46% = 14.8%. The greater the concentration ratio of soy protein obtained even greater. In organoleptic quality in soybean corn combination has the texture a little hard to hard, has no smell until the typical aroma smelled soybean, flat white to brown of white

Abstract

Tetracycline HCl is one of the most commonly used antibiotics in fish farming that aims to control diseases caused by bacteria. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence and the level of tetracycline HCl antibiotic residue in freshwater fishes sold at the Segiri traditional market. The method used in this research was a standard addition ultraviolet spectrophotometry. The results showed that residue level of tetracycline HCl in freshwater fish is 192,067 μg/g – 257,409 μg/g. These result was far exceeded the maximum residue level of tetracycline class antibiotics in meat and dairy based on SNI 01-6366-2000 that limit the residue not higher than 0.1 μg/g
