Abstract

Eleutherine palmifolia (L) Merr. is one of the plant that has function as medicine. One of the compound which much contained in ethanol extract of dayak union is flavonoid, so that could separate with purification. The aim of this study is to determine flavonoid levels in purified extract of dayak union root with various drying treatments using UV-Vis spectrophotometry and to find out which drying treatment that obtaine the highest flavonoid levels.Drying treatment of dayak union root simplicia were with direct sunlight for 6 hours (P1), dried by oven with temperature 60ºC for 6 hours (P2), dried by covered with black clothes (P3). Dayak union root simplicia extracted by maceratiin method using ethanol 70%, and purified step by step using n-hexane solvent. Flavonoid levels test of purified extract of dayak union root carried outby UV-Vis spectrophotometry method.The results of UV-Vis spectrophotometry obtained flavonoid levels of purified extract of dayak union root in dried by direct sunlight (P1) was 0.79%, dried by oven with temperature 60ºC (P2) was 1.57%, and dried by coveredwith black clothes (P3) was 1.02%. LSD test shows (P<0.05) the significant differences between flavonoid levels with different drying treatment.

Abstract

Logam berat kadmium di perairan pada umumnya mempunyai sifat toksik dan berbahaya bagi organisme hidup, walaupun beberapa diantaranya diperlukan dalam jumlah kecil. Cd merupakan logam berat yang sangat berbahaya karena tidak dapat dihancurkan (non-degradable) oleh organisme hidup dan dapat terakumulasi ke tubuh organisme melalui rantai makanan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh Cd pada reproduksi ikan nilem (Osteochilus hasselti C.V) jantan. Prosedurnya hewan uji disimpan di empat bak fiber yang mengandung Cd dengan kadar (0 mg/L [kontrol]; 2 mg/L [rendah]; 4 mg/L [sedang]; 6 mg/L [tinggi]) selama 4 minggu. Dampak dari Cd terhadap reproduksi ikan nilem dievaluasi dengan tingkat ekspresi gen cGnRH-II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh perlakuan kadmium selama 4 minggu terhadap nilai ekspresi gen cGnRH-II memiliki kisaran rata-rata antara 0,0036 - 0,3470. Pengaruh perlakuan selama minggu ke-2 dan ke-4 tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan (P>0,05) dalam menurunkan nilai ekspresi gen cGnRH-II pada ikan nilem jantan, seiring dengan meningkatnya konsentrasi kadmium serta lamanya waktu pemaparan.

Abstract

Favipiravir merupakan antivirus yang dapat digunakan sebagai terapi pengobatan pada pasien COVID-19 apabila digunakan secara tepat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui rasionalitas penggunaan Favipiravir pada pasien COVID-19 di Rumah Sakit Dirgahayu Samarinda pada tahun 2022 berdasarkan kriteria tepat pasien, tepat diagnosis, tepat obat, tepat dosis, tepat interval waktu pemberian, tepat lama pemberian, dan waspada efek samping obat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian non eksperimental yang dilakukan dengan observasional deskriptif, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode total sampling secara retrospektif. Karakteristik pasien COVID-19 pada 53 sampel dalam penelitian ini sebesar 62,3% berusia 26-45 tahun, dengan dominasi pasien berjenis kelamin perempuan sebesar 71,7%, dan komorbid terbanyak adalah diabetes melitus yaitu sebesar 7,5%. Penentuan rasionalitas penggunaan Favipiravir dinilai berdasarkan pada literatur Informatorium Obat COVID-19 di Indonesia Edisi 4 dengan hasil tepat pasien (100,0%), tepat diagnosis (100,0%), tepat obat (100,0%), tepat dosis (83,0%), tepat interval waktu pemberian (100,0%), tepat lama pemberian (100,0%), dan telah waspada efek samping obat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Favipiravir pada pasien COVID-19 di Rumah Sakit Dirgahayu Samarinda tahun 2022 telah rasional berdasarkan data rekam medis dan kriteria tepat pasien, tepat diagnosis, tepat obat, tepat dosis, tepat interval waktu pemberian, tepat lama pemberian dan waspada efek samping obat (6T1W).

Abstract

Indonesian is still very dependent of soybean imports, so as to reduce the use of soybean need to find substitute materials in the manufacture of soybean. Corn can be an option because apart from being a source of carbohydrates, corn is also an important source of protein in the menu society in Indonesia. The purpose of this study to determine the levels of soybean protein maize (Zea mays) with a combination of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) with visible of spectrophotometry. The research design uses a comparison of corn: soybean as follows: P1 = 80: 20; P2 = 70: 30; P3 = 50: 50; P4 = 30: 70 and P5 = 20: 80. The results of this study indicate that P1 has a protein content of 6.7%, P2 = 8.06% = 10.76% P3, P4 and P5 = 13.46% = 14.8%. The greater the concentration ratio of soy protein obtained even greater. Abstract

Apium graveolens Linn and Polyscias scutellaria (Burm.f.) leaves are empirically widely used to stimulate hair growth. The purpose of this research is to combine celery leaf extract and mangkokan leaf extract formulated in hair tonic. The hair tonic preparations made were evaluated by performing a physical test of the preparation and knowing the best concentration of celery leaf extract and mangkokan leaf extract on rabbit hair growth. The hair tonic were prepared in 3 formulations with the ratio of Celery leaf extract and mangkokan leaf extract (5:5 ; 7,5:2,5 and 2.5:7,5)% w / v. The positive control used is hair tonic Minoxidil 2%. Physical tests of the preparation include organoleptic test, pH and viscosity test. Hair growth activity test is done by applying hair tonic on the 3 rabbits shaved hair and hair growth measurements until the 21st day. The data of hair growth measurements were tested statistically by ANOVA test method. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that hair tonic combination of celery leaf extract and mangkokan leaf extract with ratio (7.5: 2,5)%, has average hair length 2,459 cm and hair weight 0,199 g is the optimum concentration in stimulating hair growth activity with positive control has average hair length 2,493 cm and hair weight 0,285 g. Test statistically there was no significant difference between extract and positive control. Keywords : Apium graveolens Linn, Polyscias scutellaria (Burm.f.) Fosberg, hair tonic.

Abstract

Rambai laut (Sonneratia caseolaris L. Engl) is one of the typical plants of Borneo that the leaves are empirically used by the community as a medicinal plant. Compounds from plants can be obtained by extraction. The yield rendement on the extraction process can be influenced by several factors, one of which is the method of extraction. This study aims to determine the effect of extraction methods and the amount of yield produced on rambai laut extracts. The research design is experimental with descriptive analysis. Rambai laut which has become powder then in extraction by using maseration method, infundation method, reflux method and soxhletasi method. The result of rendement is then analyzed using statistic. Soxhletasi method yield average value of rendemen that is equal to 28,38%, reflux equal to 25,57%, maseration equal to 21,28% and infundasi with average value of rendemen that is equal to 17,20%. The soxhletation method yields the highest average yield value and infundation with the lowest average yield value. The result of staitistic test shows that the extraction method has an effect on each rendement with p value = 0,024 <α = 0,05. Keywords : Sonneratia caseolaris, extraction method, rendement
