Abstract

This article was aimed to find out what ellipses were used and how ellipses were expressed in Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island novel. This article also used qualitative approach and content analysis technique. In addition, Documentation was the technique to collect the data taken from Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island novel. The data were taken from all sentences and utterances in that novel. From the data analyzed, it was found that there were three types of ellipsis elements occurred in analysis of ellipsis in Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island; they were nominal, verbal and clausal ellipsis. Those types of ellipsis were expressed in narrative sentences and utterances. The most frequent types were clausal ellipsis occurred 168 times (47.73%). This type also omitted clausal elements or subject pronoun. Nominal ellipsis occurred 108 times (30.68%). This type occurred when a noun or noun phrase is omitted or presupposed. Verbal ellipsis was the fewest types used in Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island novel which occurred 76 times (21.59%). This type occurred when a verb or verb phrase is omitted and it had two common types, echoing and auxiliary contrasting. Moreover, this study would give contribution for teachers, students, English learners and other researchers related to the use of three types of ellipsis.Keywords: Analysis, nominal ellipsis, verbal ellipsis and clausal ellipsis.

Abstract

Latar belakang dalam penelitian ini yaitu adanya perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar pokok bahasan flora dan fauna di Kelas XI IPS SMA Semendawai Suku III OKU Timur. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Two Stay-Two Stray (TS-TS) terhadap hasil belajar siswa Kelas XI IPS SMANegeri 1 Semendawai Suku III. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen kuantitatif, dengan desain penelitian menggunakan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Semendawai Suku III Oku Timur sebanyak 126 siswa dengan jumlah kelas sebanyak 4 Kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini siswa kelas XI IPS 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPS 3 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen utama yang digunakan adalah tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar pokok bahasan Flora dan Fauna kelas XI IPS pada kelompok eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan model pembelajaran Two Stay-Two Stray (TS-TS), dibuktikan dengan harga thitung (17,708) yang lebih besar dari pada ttabel (2,039). (2) Ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar pokok bahasan Flora dan Fauna kelas XI IPS pada kelompok kontrol sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode konvensional, dibuktikan dengan harga thitung (13,496) yang lebih besar dari pada ttabel (2,042). (3) Ada pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Two Stay-Two Stray terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan Flora dan Fauna di Kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Semendawai Suku III Oku Timur tahun pelajaran 2018/2019, yang dibuktikan dengan thitung = 9,69 atas dasar taraf signifikan 0,05 untuk dk = 61 diperoleh ttabel = 1,999 maka thitung > ttabel yaitu 9,69 > 1,999. Sesuai dengan kriteria pengujian yang dirumuskan, maka dengan demikian hipotesis yang menyatakan “ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Two-Stay Two-Stray terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan Flora dan Fauna di Kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Semendawai Suku III Oku Timur tahun pelajaran 2018/2019” diterima.

Abstract

The researcher aimed to identify the types of grammatical errors and the frequencies and percentages of each type of grammatical error. The method of this research was qualitative descriptive. The data of the research were taken from fifteen job advertisement texts of document publications, namely JS. The data analysis used the theory from Creswell that there were seven steps in analyzing errors which included: organizing and preparing the data analysis, reading all the data, starting coding all of the data, using the coding process to generate a description of the setting as well as categories for analysis, quantifying the errors, and interpreting the description, and drawing a conclusion. The errors found in the fifteen English job advertisement texts, there were four types of errors with the frequencies and percentages of each type of grammatical error. There were 250 errors made by advertisement text writers. The errors were 91 items (36.4%) of omission errors, 20 items (8.0%) of addition errors, 138 items (55.2%) of misformation errors, and 1 item (0.4%) of misordering errors. The result of the research could be used as input to avoid further errors.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine how the implementation of the snowball throwing learning model in Indonesian language learning to fifth grade students of SD Negeri 06 Rambang for Indonesian language material theme 9 subtheme 3 humans and objects in their environment 3rd learning about advertisements and types of advertisements This research method uses descriptive qualitative research. The descriptive qualitative research method is research that is required to describe an object, phenomenon, or social setting that will be poured into narrative writing. Based on the results of the research conducted, the implementation of the snowball throwing learning model in learning Indonesian language to fifth grade students of SD Negeri 06 Rambang on the material about advertisements and types of advertisements has been very good and effective in its application, as evidenced by students who are enthusiastic in learning, enthusiastic in learning, active in discussions, and easy to understand the material, In the implementation of the snowball throwing learning model is carried out through three processes, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation, and these three processes have been carried out well and effectively and researchers obtained data from the implementation of observations, interviews and documentation.Keywords: Snowball throwing learning model, Indonesian Language and Students Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi model pembelajaran snowball throwing dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kepada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 06 Rambang untuk materi bahasa Indonesia tema 9 subtema 3 manusia dan benda di lingkungannya pembelajran ke 3 tentang iklan dan jenis-jenis iklanMetode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif adalah penelitian yang diharuskan untuk mendeskripsikan suatu obyek, fenomena, atau setting sosial yang akan dituangkan didalam tulisan yang bersifat naratif.Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah guru kelas V yaitu ibu YL dan siswa kelas VBerdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan implementasi model pembelajaran snowball throwing dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kepada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 06 Rambang pada materi tentang Iklan dan Jenis-Jenis Iklan sudah sangat baik dan efektif dalam penerapannya, dibuktikan dari siswa yang antusias dalam pembelajaran, semangat dalam belajar, aktif dalam diskusi, dan mudah memahami materi pembelajaran, dan dalam belajar siswa sudah memperlihatkan rasa ingin tahu, percaya diri, disiplin dan pedulidalam pengimplementasian model pembelajaran snowball throwing ini dilakukan melalui tiga proses yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, dan ketiga proses tersebut telah dilaksanakan dengan baik dan efektif dan peneliti memperoleh data dari pelaksanaan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Abstract

Efforts of classroom teachers in instilling self-discipline and social discipline in grade II students at SDN 139 Palembang? The purpose of this study is to find out the efforts of classroom teachers in instilling self-discipline and social discipline in grade II students at SDN 139 Palembang. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, with a descriptive research form. The data collection techniques in the study used questionnaire, interview, and documentation techniques. The Data Validity Techniques used in this study are Source Triangulation, Source Triangulation, Time Triangulation. The data analysis techniques used are Data Reduction, Data Presentation, Data Presentation. Based on research in the field, it can be known that the impact of teachers' efforts in instilling discipline that has been implemented at SD N 139 Palembang has a good effect on student discipline such as wearing complete uniform attributes, departing on time and orderly following the bender ceremony It would be good for the principal and teachers to set an example and give sanctions to students who violate school rules to train the discipline of SD N 139 Palembang students.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam melatih berpikir kreatif terhadap pembelajaran matematika kelas III SD Negeri 95 Palembang. Penelitan ini meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Subjeknya adalah adalah guru kelas III, kepala sekolah, ahli, dan siswa kelas III SD Negeri 95 Palembang. Sampelnya menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat kebutuhan untuk peningkatan peran guru dalam melatih berpikir kreatif terhadap pembelajaran matematika. Guru melibatkan penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang merangsang pemikiran kreatif. hal ini menekankan peran guru sebagai pengajar, inovator, motivator, fasilitator, dan evaluator dalam konteks pembelajaran matematika. Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the implementation of Edpuzzle as a learning media to improve students learning outcomes in Sciences and Social Studies (IPAS) through the use of a personalized learning model. This reserch employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects of the study were elementary school students whose data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The finding revealed that the use of Edpuzzle effectively enhanced student engagement, facilitated better understanding of the material, and provided a learning experiences tailored to each student’s need and pace. The personalized learning model applied in this study supported students-centered learning and had a positive impact on improving learning outcomes.
