Abstract

Abstract

Research on entrepreneurial orientation towards business performance has become a broad finding in various business fields. This study shows the effect of entrepreneurial orientation and social capital on entrepreneurial success. The research was conducted on MSMEs with the object of research being MSME owners with a sample of 600 food MSME owners in West Sumatra. The research was conducted using a quantitative method using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) application. The research location is West Sumatra, Indonesia. The results of the study reveal that entrepreneurial orientation directly and positively related to entrepreneurial success, entrepreneurial orientation also positively and significantly related to social capital, and social capital has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial success. Social capital as a mediating variable has a partial role in the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial success. Social capital as a mediating variable strengthens the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial success. These results indicate that entrepreneurial orientation does not only look at business performance that has been seen so far in large and medium-sized companies and in this study looks at MSMEs, which have many limitations in measuring their dimensions because of the difficulty of getting reports on MSMEs. The limitations of research in measuring social capital need to be done qualitatively by involving other dimensions and it is necessary to measure the entrepreneurial orientation of SMEs whether it is appropriate to use 5 dimensions.

In this research, there are two problem formulations that are trying to express in this research, namely: 1. What is the potential for the development of Lake Siais as a tourist attraction? 2. What is the strategy for developing Lake Siais as a tourist attraction? The research results have not been optimally realized, this is due to inadequate management, it is necessary to collaborate with investors and the Tourism Office.

Abstract

The results of this study are that some of the scholars who participated in the socialization support and agree with the obligation to pay zakat to the BAZNAS institution, but some scholars who do not know and do not participate in the socialization from BAZNAS, think that there is no obligation to pay zakat to the institution and are still required to distribute zakat to the mustahik who are around them. Whereas community leaders have more confidence in the distribution carried out by the amil of the mosque because it can be reflected in the distribution of zakat to their relatives or families, and according to what they have done long ago. Some of them also think that paying zakat to BAZNAS institutions is not mandatory, because there is already an Amil zakat appointed by the community. In addition, they understand that BAZNAS is only a social institution that helps the poor or disaster-affected communities. Then the understanding of muzakki is that they do not know the obligation to pay zakat through BAZNAS, but they have no objection if they have to pay zakat to BAZNAS institutions, provided that these institutions must carry out open and transparent outreach to the public about zakat programs and management and collect zakat

Abstract

Abstract

The development of tourism in an area will bring many benefits to the community, namely economically, socially, and culturally. However, if the development is not prepared and managed properly, it will cause various problems that make it difficult or even detrimental to the community. The research that will be conducted aims to formulate directions for the development of the Ponot Waterfall Natural Tourist Attraction in Asahan Regency based on the Tourism Area Cycle of Evolution (TACE) model and then provide several recommendations for the development of natural tourist attractions based on the typology. This qualitative descriptive study uses four data collection techniques: observation, documentation study, focus group discussion, and literature study. This study uses research variables used to identify the natural attractions of Ponot Waterfall. The variables in the tourism components are Attraction, Accommodation, Facilities, Transportation, Infrastructure, Institutional, Promotion, Tour Packages, Ancillary Services. Then the data obtained are analyzed using the Tourism Area Cycle of Evolution (TACE), Carrying Capacity and Ansoff Matrix. Research shows that Ponot Waterfall is nature tourism that has fulfilled all the indicators in the characteristics of natural tourism areas that have not been fulfilled, namely the variable something to buy, where the natural tourism area does not yet have a distinctive product to be traded to tourists, tourism promotion and supporting facilities that have not adequate and as a tourist area, this waterfall is still managed by the community so there are still minimal facilities and development. Ponot Waterfall is in the involvement stage and its position on the Ansoff Matrix diagram is in Quadrant 1 Market Penetration: Existing Product and Existing Market. After the first and second targets have been achieved, more appropriate directions for the development of natural tourist attractions are generated based on the evolution cycle of tourist attractions
