Abstract

This research describes the values and forms of tolerance between Muslim and Christian communities in Sumberpakem Village, Jember Regency. It is a village where the communities are pandhalungan. The research deploys a qualitative method by digging verbal information as much as possible related to the questions. The data analysis indicates that the tolerance values of Muslim and Christian communities in Sumberpakem Village are the universal values as reflected in multiculturalism, such as acceptance, tolerance, sympathy, empathy, and caring for cultural diversity. They are also willing to live together, mutually trust and mutually support (co-existence and pro-existence). Meanwhile, the forms of tolerance are across the religions such as joint parties, marriages, burial and occupation events.

Abstract

Kasus penculikan terhadap anak yang belakangan ini marak terjadi, termasuk kategori kasus perdagangan anak yang digunakan sebagai pekerja paksa, pemuas kebutuhan seksual, serta anak yang diadopsi secara ilegal. Hal ini tentu bertentangan dengan aturan konstitusi di Indonesia, yaitu Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2022 tentang perlindungan anak. PKM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran serta pengetahuan tentang pentingnya menjaga keselamatan diri pada anak usia dini saat berada di tempat umum. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di TK Living Stones Surabaya. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah Pengasuh, Orang Tua dan anak. Metode yang digunakan meliputi edukasi yang sesuai dengan tingkat pemahaman anak, pelaksanaan sesi edukasi bersifat interaktif dengan menggunakan berbagai media yang melibatkan orang tua dan pengasuh dalam mendukung terselenggaranya program secara optimal. Kegatan ini diharapkan mampu menghasilkan luaran yang signifikan termasuk peningkatan kesadaran dan pemahaman anak tentang bahaya serta resiko saat berada di tempat umum, peningkatan partisipasi orang tua daam mendukung keselamatan anak, serta diharapkan mampu memberikan kontribusi dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang aman bagi anak. Luaran kegiatan ini adalah dimuat pada Jurnal Berdaya, laporan, youtube dan berita di media sosial serta buku pedoman.Abstract. Child abduction cases that have recently occurred are categorized as cases of child trafficking used as forced labor, sexual gratification, and illegally adopted children. This is certainly contrary to the constitutional rules in Indonesia, namely Law Number 23 of 2022 concerning child protection. This PKM aims to increase awareness and knowledge about the importance of maintaining personal safety in early childhood while in public places. This activity was carried out at Living Stones Kindergarten Surabaya. The targets of this activity are caregivers, parents and children. The methods used include education that is in accordance with the level of understanding of children, the implementation of interactive educational sessions using various media involving parents and caregivers in supporting the optimal implementation of the program. This activity is expected to produce significant outcomes including increased awareness and understanding of children about the dangers and risks of being in public places, increased parental participation in supporting children's safety, and is expected to contribute to creating a safe environment for children. The output of this activity is published in Jurnal Berdaya, report, YouTube and news in social media and guidebook.

Abstract

Setiap masyarakat memiliki pengetahuan yang berbeda-beda tentang kondisi, situasi, masalah, kebutuhan, dan kehidupan sosialnya. Namun sayangnya, tidak semua masyarakat memahami pengetahuan tentang masalah, kebutuhan, dan kehidupan sosialnya. Pembangunan dari atas ke bawah, yang kurang memperhatikan pembangunan manusia seutuhnya, menyebabkan masyarakat kurang memiliki kepekaan dalam memetakan dan merumuskan pengetahuannya. Kegiatan PKM (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan keterampilan kepada kader desa dalam melakukan pemetaan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang masalah sosial, melakukan asesmen komunitas, dan menyusun perancanaan. Kegiatan utamanya adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada kader desa. Sasaran PKM ini adalah kader desa yang aktif di organisasi sosial kemasyarakatan, yaitu PKK, Posyandu, Kepemudaan (Karang Taruna), dan Majlis Taklim di Desa Pengampon. Tahapan kegiatan PKM ini meliputi persiapan, pelaksanaan, refleksi dan evaluasi. Metode PKM meliputi curah pendapat, diskusi, wawancara, dan keterlibatan pada kegiatan komunitas. Luaran kegiatan ini adalah 1) kader desa memiliki keterampilan dalam melakukan pemetaaan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang masalah sosial, 2) kader desa mampu melakukan asesmen kebutuhan komunitas, dan 3) kemampuan menyusun perencanaan partisipatif di tingkat lokal. Hasil PKM ini meliputi: kader desa dapat melakukan pemetaan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang masalah sosial; kader desa dapat melakukan asesmen kebutuhan komunitas, dan; dan membuat perencanaan partisipatif untuk menyelesaikan masalah di desanya.

Abstract

School social workers hold a vital role in promoting students emotional, mental, and social well-being, which directly impacts their educational success. This study uses a literature review method to explore the functions, challenges, and opportunities faced by school social workers in Indonesia. Key findings show that social workers support students through mental health interventions, advocacy for disadvantaged students, collaboration with school staff, and addressing socio-economic issues. However, the profession faces significant barriers, including shortages of trained personnel, limited resources, especially in rural areas, and persistent social stigma. Despite these challenges, growing awareness about mental health and student welfare offers opportunities to strengthen the role of social workers in schools. The study recommends expanding the workforce of social workers, enhancing training, and fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration to improve service delivery and ensure equitable student support nationwide. Ultimately, the article emphasizes the need for comprehensive policies and systemic support to maximize the contributions of school social workers in enhancing students academic and personal development.

Abstract

School social workers have a strategic role in supporting the welfare of students in Indonesia, especially in dealing with various social, emotional, and psychological issues that can affect academic performance. As a liaison between students, families, schools, and the community, school social workers play a role in providing interventions that aim to create an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment. However, the implementation of this role still faces various challenges, such as the limited number of professionals, the lack of support for facilities in schools, and social stigma against the social worker profession. This condition hinders the optimization of student welfare services as a whole. This article aims to explore the role of school social workers in the context of Indonesian education, identify the challenges faced, and examine opportunities for role strengthening through holistic intervention approaches and policy support. The results of the study show that increasing the effectiveness of school social workers can be achieved through the integration of student welfare programs into the curriculum, ongoing training for social workers, and synergy between the government, schools, and local communities. Strong policy support and adequate resource allocation are decisive factors in strengthening the function of school social workers. With the right approach, school social workers have the potential to be agents of change in creating an education system that is more responsive to students' social and emotional needs, as well as encouraging the creation of a healthy and sustainable learning climate.

Abstract

Kesejahteraan Sosial Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus dapat diukur dengan salah satu indikator yaitu berjalannya keberfungsian sosial ABK. Yayasan ABK Starkids adalah lembaga pelayanan sosial yang menangani ABK yang berfokus pada pendidikan dan program yang dapat menumbuhkan keberfungsian sosial didalam diri ABK. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui peran Yayasan ABK Starkids Sidoarjo dalam menumbuhkan keberfungsian sosial ABK serta melihat faktor pendukung dan penghambat yang ada di dalamnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Penentuan lokasi menggunakan teknik purposive area. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Peneliti menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian memberikan gambaran bahwa yayasan ABK Starkids berperan dalam menumbuhkan keberfungsian melalui program akademik dan ekstrakulikuler serta program yang berfokus pada sosial psikologi ABK. Faktor pendukung dalam menumbuhkan keberfungsian sosial adalah adanya partisipasi orang tua murid, dukungan masyarakat sekitar, adanya evaluasi dan monitoring. Faktor penghambat yaitu kurangnya SDM serta minimnya sarana dan prasarana.
