Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian tentang penyerapan logam Pb menggunakan biji asam sebagai adsorbat telah dilakukan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah aktivasi karbon dengan H3PO4 sebagai aktivator. Hal itu dilakukan dengan menerapkan 5 variasi berat ( 1, 2, 3, 4, dan 5 g) dan konsentrasi (1, 2, 3, 4, dan 5 N ). Untuk melihat penyerapani Pb terhadap waktu kontak, maka 5 variasi waktu kontak telah diterapkan yaitu dari 10, 20, 30, 40, dan 50 menit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karbon aktif mempunyai kapasitas adsorpsi terbaik (89,59 ppm) pada berat 5 gram , sementara waktu kontak optimum dicapai pada 50 menit dengan 69,02 ppm dari Pb yang terserap. Aktivasi karbon aktif dengan H3PO4 pada konsentrasi optimum  2 N telah meningkatkan kapasitas adsorpsi sebesar 11,11%.                                            Katakunci : Absorben, Biji Asam Jawa, Karbon Aktif.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The study aims are to determine the influence of the best of smooth and the best of volume eluent of the concentration of ion mercury (II) the colomn with the flow from top to bottom. These are used has a diameter 1 cm, height 35 cm and adsorbent 5 g. The variations upon the smooth which is used 10, 20 and 30 mL/minute ad the volume of eluent 10, 50, 100 and 150 mL with a concentration 60 mg/L at pH 5. This study is using random the factorial, each treatment done as much as two times. From the results showed that the best of smooth be achieved in the smooth 10 mL/minute and the best of volume eluent be achieved in the volume of 150 mL in adsorption of ion mercury (II). Abstract

The research about “The Effect of Variation of the Type of Acid on Gelatine Yield from Cakalang Fish Bone (Katsuwonus pelamis)”. The aim of this research was to determine the higher gelatine rendament using various of type of acid. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD), each treatment was done in duplo.The acid variation in this research were Chloride, Sulphate, Phosphoric, Acetic, Oxalate and Citrate acid respectively. The result showed that the highest rendament was 14,658% at 5% of phosphoric acid. The analysis of the treatment has fulfilled the standard. Keywords : Gelatine, Cakalang fish bone, Isolate, Yield

Abstract

The investigation about the antioxidant activity of tembelekan (Lantana camara L) leaf extract based on level polar solvent . Has been done the aim of this study was to determine the IC50 value and to know the content of antioxidant compounds from tembelekan leaf extract based on the level of polar solvent the extraction of tembelekan leaf was done with maceration method . The result showed that ethyl acetate extract of tembelekan leaf has the highest antioxidant activity with IC50 value was 71,70 ppm. Keywords: Tembelekan ( Lantana Camara L ) , IC50 , Antioxidant , DPPH
