Abstract

Test Density and Porosity of rock have been done to see the relation to temperature influence 100 ᵒC, 200 ᵒC and 300 ᵒC. Rocks that will be tested first heated temperature with furnace tool then weighed with a digital balance. Density and Porosity measurement data were analyzed using Matlab Software with ASTMC373 equation. The result of Matlab in the form of graph shows average temperature change to Semurup rock density of 0.03 g / cm3 and the effect of temperature on Semurup rock porosity at 300 ᵒC is 30.29%. The average temperature change to Medang River rock density is 0.003 g / cm3 and the effect of temperature on Medang River rock porosity at 300 ᵒC is 0,55%. Looking at the rock crystal structure used XRD. Data from Characterization using XRD was analyzed with High Score Plus software. The result of rock characterization using XRD, from semurup showed that component of CaCO3 is 94%, crystal structure not yet fully formed and still in amorphous form, meanwhile rock from medang river show that component of CaCO3 is with 98%, crystalline structure have formed crystal.

Abstract

This research was motivated by many people who argued that to achieve high achievement in learning, a person must have a high Intelligence Quotient (IQ) because it is a potential provision that will facilitate learning and will result in optimal learning achievement. According to Binet in Winkel (2009), the essence of intelligence is the ability to set and maintain a goal, to make adjustments to achieve that goal, and to evaluate one's condition critically and objectively. However, according to the results of research in the field of psychology, it proves that IQ is not the only factor that affects a person's learning achievement. Many other factors influence a person's learning achievement and one of them is emotional intelligence. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and learning outcomes of physics in class X SMA in District Bangko.Thisresearch was a descriptive quantitative correlational study. The independent variable in this study was emotional intelligence while learning outcomes were the dependent variable. Questionnaires that consisted of managing one's emotions, motivating oneself, recognizing other people's emotions or empathy, and building relationships (cooperation) with others were used to collect the data. Learning outcome test questions which consisted of measurement material, vectors, motion, and circular motion were used to measure student learning outcomes.The data analysis technique used SPSS 16.0. by testing the normality of the hypothesis, the significance, and the regression equation. The results of the data analysis showed that the coefficient value of the correlation between emotional intelligence and learning outcomes was 0.356. 0.356 less than 0.5 or close to zero means that there is a weak correlation between emotional intelligence and learning outcomes. To test the hypothesis, it was obtained tcount greater than t table or 12.042 greater than 1.977 then H0 is rejected. It can be said that there is a significant correlation between emotional intelligence and physics learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Negeri in District Bangko.

Abstract

This study analyzes the science learning process through a TBLA-based lesson study (Transcript Based Lesson Analysis), where the analysis is focused on the teacher-centered and student-centered. There are stages of lesson study that are implemented, namely planning (plan), implementation (do), and reflection (see). This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type. This research was carried out in class VIII.2 of Al-Falah Islamic Junior High School in Jambi City from January 18 to February 22, 2021, through 2 research cycles. This study's data source was 32 students of class VIII.2, with details of 20 male students and 12 female students. Qualitative data were obtained through observation and documentation. Observers make statements during the learning process. At the same time, documentation is received from audio/video recordings of the learning process (interactions between teachers and students), which will then be transcribed in learning dialogue. The results obtained are based on the transcript of the conversation, which is made in a word unit graphic. It can be seen that the science learning process in cycle one and cycle two is still dominated by teachers or is teacher-centered. The teacher has allowed students to speak with existing questions and group discussions. The suggestion in this research is that teachers can apply TBLA-based lesson study in the learning process. Analytical techniques like this aim to improve the ability of teachers to enhance further learning processes.

Abstract

The outbreak of Covid-19 has resulted in learning activities to be carried out virtually. Based on the experience of implementing virtual learning, students do not participate actively in the learning process. Low student participation in education can be seen from the lack of student responses in answering teacher questions in virtual learning. Based on this problem, the authors researched by implementing lesson study as an effort to increase students' active participation in virtual learning. This study aims to increase students' active involvement in virtual education through the implementation of lesson study. This study's subjects were 32 students of Al Falah Islamic Junior High School class VIII.5 semester 2020/2021 academic year with 13 male students and 19 female students. Implementation of lesson study starts on August 18 to September 1, 2020. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. Data collection was carried out through student active participation observation sheets. Based on the research results in cycle 1, student participation data obtained an average value of 56.28%. While in cycle 2, the student participation data received an average value of 59.56%.

Abstract

Artikel ilmiah sebagai salah satu komponen penting dalam proses perkuliahan, saat ini artikelilmiah masih dianggap sulit oleh sebagian mahasiswa. Artikel ilmiah seharusnya dibuat denganaturan-aturan baku tertentu, tetapi tidak diperhatikan oleh mahasiswa. Selain itu dosenpembimbing skripsi kadang-kadang masih tidak memperhatikan tata cara penulisan artikel ilmiahtetapi hanya fokus terhadap hasil penelitiannya saja serta tidak memberikan koreksi ataupembenaran terhadap karya ilmiah yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa, sehingga mahasiswa harusbelajar secara mandiri untuk mengetahui cara membuat karya ilmiah yang baik dan benar.Program pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan kemauan dan kemampuan (motivasi)mahasiswa menulis karya tulis ilmiah berjenis makalah, diktat, modul dan PKM, sehinggamahasiswa menjadi produktif dalam menghasilkan karya tulis ilmiah. Kegiatan PPM inidiharapkan dapat membekali mahasiswa TA kedua mitra tersebut mempunyai kemauan danketerampilan untuk membuat artikel ilmiah sehingga dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan danwawasan serta dapat menulis artikel ilmiah dari hasil data magang dan skripsi. Hasil darikegiatan sosialiasi kegiatan pelatihan penulisan artikel ilmiah mahasiswa tugas akhir prodifarmasi dan prodi kimia Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Universitas Jambi telah dilaksanakandengan hasil baik. Khalayak sasaran antara yang dipilih dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepadamasyarakat ini mempunyai semangat yang tinggi untuk mengikuti semua kegiatan sampaiselesai dan dinilai mampu untuk menularkan pengetahuannya pada orang lain

Abstract

This research aims to explore students' achievement of understanding physics concepts through qualitative data analysis using NVivo. Education, as regulated in Law no. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, aims to develop the potential of students to become individuals who have faith, noble character, knowledge and independence. In this context, learning physics does not only study theory but also applies practice to understand natural phenomena as a whole. The research method used is qualitative, with data sources in the form of learning media, materials and interactions during teaching and learning activities. Data analysis was carried out using NVivo, producing visualizations such as word clouds and word trees to understand the structure and meaning of the data. This study also discusses the use of NVivo and TBLA (Transcript-Based Lesson Analysis) in qualitative data analysis, which shows the effectiveness of data visualization in understanding the relationship between climate change and the agricultural sector. This research confirms the importance of understanding concepts in education and the contribution of NVivo in improving quality qualitative data analysis
