Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Caries is tooth hard tissue disease marked with email and dentint progressive destruction caused by plaque and microbial metabolism activity. This is caused by email and dentint demineralisation that involve cariogenic food consumption. Good or optimal nutritional status achieved when body get sufficient nutrition, this can be used efficient. Low nutritional status occurred when body doesn’t get one or more essential nutrient. Purpose: The purpose of this reaseach was to understand the relationship between caries with good nutritional status and low nutritional status of children under 5 years old at TK Kertak Hanyar, Banjar District. Methods: This was an analytic study with cross sectional survey method using 60 sample consist of 30 sample of children with nutritional status under the average def-t score index 8,1 dan 30 children with good nutritional status with def-t score index 3,6. Result: Based on this research, there was a relationship between low nutritional status with caries degree on children at TK Kertak Hanyar, Banjar District, with the value of p = 0,000 in Chi-Square test. Conclusion: In conclusion, there was a correlation between low nutritional status dan rate of caries. ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Karies adalah penyakit jaringan keras gigi yang ditandai rusaknya email dan dentin yang progresif disebabkan oleh keaktifan metabolisme plak dan bakteri. Hal ini  disebabkan oleh demineralisasi email dan dentin yang hubungannya dengan konsumsi makanan kariogenik. Status gizi baik atau status gizi optimal terjadi bila tubuh memperoleh cukup zat-zat gizi yang digunakan secara efisien. Status gizi kurang terjadi bila tubuh mengalami kekurangan satu atau lebih zat-zat gizi esensial.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat keparahan karies pada balita dengan status gizi kurang dan gizi baik di TK Kecamatan Kertak Hanyar Kabupaten Banjar. Metode: Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan metode survei cross sectional dengan menggunakan 60 sampel  yang terdiri dari 30 sampel merupakan  anak dengan status gizi kurang dengan indeks skor rata-rata def-t 8,1 dan 30 anak dengan status gizi baik dengan indeks skor def-t 3,6. Hasil: Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dapat diambil kesimpulan terdapat hubungan antara status gizi kurang dengan tingkat keparahan karies pada anak balita di TK Kecamatan Kertak Hanyar, Kabupaten Banjar.dengan nilai p = 0,000 menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Kesimpulan: Kesimpulan penelitian adalah terdapat hubungan antara status gizi kurang dengan tingkat karies.

Abstract

COVID-19 cases in Indonesia are increasing as of April 10, reaching 3512 people who have been declared infected with COVID-19, with a death toll of 306 people (8.71%). One of the prevention efforts is to use mask and hand sanitizer and increase immunity status through consumption of nutritious food and drinks. Prevention efforts will work well if we invite the public to participate actively, one of which is the Khosya Berbagi community in Banjarbaru.This activity aims to distribute masks, hand sanitizers and nutritious drinks to the people of Banjarbaru and Martapura, especially those who are vulnerable and have a high risk of being infected with COVID-19. The methods used include identifying people who are prone to infection and have a high risk of infection, making mask, COVID-19 prevention stickers, packaging mask and nutritious drinks, namely honey and milk, followed by distributing gifts to the community. This activity has succeeded in distributing 500 packages consisting of cloth mask, nutritious drinks and hand sanitizer to small traders, pedicab drivers, motorcycle taxi drivers, and road cleaners in Banjarbaru and Martapura. This parcel is also equipped with stickers on efforts to prevent COVID-19. It is hoped that this activity can help people protect themselves from COVID-19.

Abstract

The prevalence of children under five with stunting in South Kalimantan in 2018 is 31%, under five underweight and very thin is 10.2%. In Banjar district the number of free malnutrition is only 31.5%. Factors affecting nutrition problems in infants and toddlers include physical condition, age and mother's knowledge. Nutritional status and good nutritional intake in pre-pregnancy also determine and this can be anticipated earlier. The prospective bride (CATEN) is the right target in preventing nutritional problems. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge of the prospective bride about reproductive health, nutrition, and development of babies. The methods of this activity are 1) making the NKR_CATEN module; 2) module printing; 3) distributing modules as well as providing counseling and counseling to prospective brides; and 4) Evaluation. The partner of the activity is the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), West Martapura District. The results show that the age of the prospective bride who is involved in this activity is an average of over 20 years old and education at the high school and university level is 50%. This is a good asset for caten to be able to provide care for their children. After giving the NKR_CATEN module and counseling to the prospective bride can be seen in the increase in knowledge of the prospective bride at the posttest. The mean value obtained is higher than the pretest. Conclusion: providing the NKR-CATEN module can increase the knowledge of the prospective bride and groom about nutrition and reproductive health.
