Abstract

Pemodelan struktur zeolit Y telah diteliti dengan variasi rasio Si/Al, variasi kation dan penambahan molekul organik menggunakan metode mekanika molekuler. Pemodelan zeolit dilakukan dengan membuat kerangka struktur satu unit sel zeolit Y. Zeolit Y dengan energi optimasi terendah (Si/Al = 4,3) dipilih untuk studi pengaruh penambahan kation (Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+) dan molekul organik (C4H9OH, C5H11OH, C6H5OH) pada diameter pori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan struktur zeolit Y dengan impregnasi kation K+ dan molekul organik C4H9OH memiliki diameter pori terbesar yaitu 16,0303  dan 15,9126 .

Abstract

The phytochemical test, brine shrimp lethality test and antioxidant activity test on secondary metabolits of terap (Artocarpus odoratissimus B.) leaves has been completed. The leaves samples are extracted by masseration method that is concentrated by using rotary evaporator. The total extract are fractioned with n-hexane and ethyl acetate. Based on secondary metabolits phytochemical test of terap (Artocarpus odoratissimus B.) leaves showed that total extract and Ethyl Acetat fraction extract contains alkaloids, phenolics, flavonoids, saponins, steroids and triterpenoids. N-hexane fraction extract contain alkaloids, steroids and tritepenoids. In brine shrimp lethality test, the increase larvae death data was recorded and processed using SAS Probit Analysis to determine the Lethal Concentration 50 % (LC50) value. The results of this test showed that the most active extract is metanol extract with LC50 value of 88.0227 ppm. Based on the antioxidant activity by scavenging activity of DPPH used spectrophotometry was obtained that Inhibition Concentration 50% (IC50) of total extract is 369.0833 ppm, extract of n-hexane fraction is 1532.267 ppm and extract of ethyl acetat fraction is 82.89003 ppm.

Abstract

The research about synthesis of Soft Soap Containing polyhydroxy from Cocoa seed Oil, beginning with the manufacture of the polyhydroxy compound wherein the polyhydroxy compound is obtained through a process of epoxidation and hydroxylation by reacting oils cocoa beans with peroxide acetic acids (peroxy acetate was obtained from the reaction of glacial acetic acid with hydrogen peroxide) with an acid catalyst sulfate followed by oxirane ring opening process (hydrolysis) at a temperature of 40-45 oC for 2 hours, the results obtained with the reaction yield of 60 %. In the form of a mixture of soft soap is obtained by saponification of compounds polyhydroxy with Potassium Hydroxide at a temperature 70-75 oC for 1 hour with a yield of 86,45 %. Polyhydroxy compound and soap from the cocoa bean oil was analyzed by FT-IR spectrophotometer. Respectively iodine from the cocoa bean oil 102,93mg I / gram of oil and polyhydroxy compound is 20,21 mg I / gram of oil. HLB of soap Software of oil and polyhydroxy cocoa beans from the cocoa bean oil is determined by titration method and obtained HLB of soft soap from the cocoa bean oil was 8.74 while the polyhydroxy from cacao seed oil is 10,94.

Abstract

The research on optimization of transesterification temperature for production of biodiesel from rice straw oil (Oryza sativa L.) using CaO catalyst derived from the chicken egg skin has been conducted. Production of biodiesel was conducted at varied temperatures, namely 30oC, 40oC, 50oC, 60oC and 70oC. The fatty acid compositions of the transesterification products were determined by using GC-MS and the physical and chemical characteristics were determined using SNI Methods 04-7182-2006. The AAS result suggested that the chicken egg skin contained 91.41% CaO. The optimum transesterification temperature was 60oC producing 90,8405% methyl ester. The results of GC-MS showed that the highest percentage of fatty acid was methyl oleic (44.56%).

Abstract

Asam linolenat dari minyak nabati diesterifikasi dengan metanol menggunakan katalis asam dan dilanjutkan dengan amidasi dengan etanolamina menghasilkan alkanolamida selanjutnya dilakukan epoksidasi dengan tert-butyl hidroperoksida dan bantuan katalis peroksigenase dipanaskan pada suhu 40oC selama ± 12 jam sambil dialirkan gas Nitrogen UHP 99% untuk menghasilkan senyawa epoksi alkanolamida oktadekanoat campuran yang selanjutnya dihidrolisis dengan HCl 0,1 N untuk menghasilkan senyawa poliol alkanolamida heksahidroksi oktadekanoat. Uji HLB dari surfaktan alkanolamida heksahidroksi oktadekanoat (N-etanol-9,10,12,13,15,16 heksahidroksi oleil amida) sebesar 14,13 Oleh karena itu senyawa poliol ini dapat digunakan sebagai pengemulsi sistem o/w. Seluruh hasil reaksi dikonfirmasikan secara analisis spektroskopi FT-IR, 1H-NMR, GC-MS dan analisis KLT sesuai dengan keperluan.

Abstract

The study aims to find secondary metabolites isolated from leave of pucuk merah (Syzygium Myrtifilium Walp). The method used is maceration, fractionation, column chromatography, thin layer chromatography and identified using Fourier Transform-Infra Red (FT-IR) and Gass Cromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS). Phytochemical preliminary test of ethyl acetate fraction contained alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolic and triterpenoids, while the results of phytochemical test against stains 2 ethyl acetate fraction showed a positive test result contains the alkaloid compounds and compounds phenolic. The results of the analysis using cluster bonding FT-IR emergence OH (Hydroksi), C-H (Aromatic), CH3 (Aliphatic), and CO Ether, whereas the MS chromatograms obtained peak (peak) which have a similarity value above 90% according to willey09th.L database. estimates of the results of the analysis can be concluded that the stain 2 ethyl acetate fraction is estimated compound 2,4-di-tersier-butyl-fenol.

Abstract

TZeolization of coal waste was carried out as an adsorbent for Cu(II) ions. Fly ash tailings were collected from Lati Steam Power Plant (SPP) Berau and tested using SEM instruments, X-ray diffraction and AAS. Synthetic zeolites are prepared by hydrothermal reaction under alkaline and alkaline conditions. Characterization of the synthetic zeolite using SEM has formed a zeolite material with a pore size >10 µm and shows an increase in the amount of Na from 3.06% to 11.82%. XRD results show that Na-P1 zeolite is formed at the main top of 2θ16, 30, 33, 10 and 40, 80, and the relative intensities are 34, 31 and 36, respectively. In addition, elemental materials such as silica and mullite are continuously formed on the main top of 2θ26.50 and 26.10, the relative strength of silica is 100, and the relative strength of mullite is 57.9. The optimum adsorption capacity of zeolite for maximum copper ion was 80.330% at pH=4, 97.958% at 150 mg adsorbent weight, and 94.550% at 50 min contact time. The formation of these new materials significantly improved the adsorption capacity of fly ash under optimal conditions of pH = 4, sorbent weight of 150 mg, and contact time of 50 min.

Abstract

This study on composting time analysis and determining the optimum time based on pH conditions, temperature and humidity of soybean peel and string bean compost and determining the optimum variation of EM4 bioactivators to total magnesium (Mg) and manganese (Mn) levels has been carried out. The study consisted of making compost in takakura baskets, measuring the pH, temperature and humidity of the compost and analyzing total magnesium (Mg) and manganese (Mn) levels using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The results of measuring the pH, temperature and humidity of the compost were tested using a one-way analysis of variance test. The results showed that the F value of calculating the pH, temperature and humidity of the compost was greater than the table F value with successive values of 146.427 > 2.62; 10,690 > 2.62; 746.343 > 2.62 so it was concluded that the composting time had a significant effect on the pH, temperature and humidity of the compost. The optimum time of composting is 16 days with a pH of 7.19-7.5, a temperature of 27-28.9oC and a humidity of 50-60%. The optimum variation of EM4 is 5 mL with a total magnesium (Mg) content value of 0.09644% and manganese (Mn) total of 0.01788%.
