Abstract

Currently, there are still problems occurring in waste management activities in Pangkalpinang City. Solid waste that is scattered in the City of Pangkalpinang is caused by waste that has not been transported and handled. TPA Parit Enam's capacity, which serves solid waste in Pangkalpinang City, will decrease every year due to an overload of incoming waste generation. Currently, the City of Pangkalpinang aggressively implements a waste management policy at the source or the 3R program, including waste bank activities and waste processing at reduce, reuse and recycle (3R) landfills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of household waste reduction activities on the current use of the Parit Enam landfill in Pangkalpinang City in each of the scenarios that were compiled. The compilation model uses Powersim Studio 2005. The dynamic analysis shows that the activities that follow the waste at the source and respect what happens in TPS 3R Pangkalpinang City can affect TPA Parit Enam's useful life and produce a suitable scenario to be applied in the waste management activities of Pangkalpinang City. Scenario C (Optimistic), the valuable life of Parit Enam Landfillreaches 2023, and scenario C (Optimistic) can reduce the amount of waste transported by 29.65% compared to scenario A (Business as Usual). Besides, the proportion of household waste reduction reached 48% at the end of the simulation year.

Abstract

RW 6 Purwosari Village, North Semarang District is one of the locations in Semarang City that is experiencing solid waste problems. There is still no non-organic waste sorting and processing system in this location. The purpose of this study was to identify non-organic waste types of glass and metal in the residential area of RW 6, Purwosari Village, North Semarang District, Semarang City. In conducting this research, the determination of the survey location was sought using spatial analysis to see the distribution of buildings and residential areas in the research location. Next, a grid analysis will be carried out to determine the survey location. Furthermore, field observations and questionnaires will be distributed to obtain the data needed in the study. Finally, a description of the data obtained during the survey will be carried out. The benefits of this research are data and information about non-organic waste as a basis for making rules in waste processing. The final result that is expected in this research is to obtain information about what and how the level of production of non-organic waste types of glass and metal is obtained in RW 6 Purwosari Village, North Semarang District.

Abstract

The problem of small islands in the national border area related to development policy interventions is still lacking. Geographical position, raises problems in relation to regional accessibility. This is partly due to the remote geographical location, the economic scale of the business, inadequate transportation conditions, limited facilities and infrastructure such as electricity, roads, telecommunications, clean water and others. Small islands as an entity that has a size, special characteristics and vulnerabilities so that the planning and management of small islands requires a different format from large islands. In connection with these problems, it is necessary to increase development interventions through the role of strengthening the role as a center for sustainable growth. Through a descriptive approach with scalogram analysis and clustering, determining the role as a growth center with a coverage area of influence can be done. economic and socio-cultural. The center of growth and grouping of islands is an approach taken to provide direction for spatial planning for small islands. Keywords: Small Islands, Sustainable Development, Growth Center

Abstract

Based on the Semarang City Regulation No.5 of 2004 concerning the Semarang City Spatial Plan 2000-2010 Article 11, Gayamsari Sub-district is included in BWK V, which is an area with the center of trade, office, and residential activities that contribute greatly to the increase in waste generation in Semarang City every year. The existence of this waste problem requires a study in the form of an identification study related to waste generation consisting of characteristics, volume, and composition of waste visualized through spatial modeling. In this study, waste generation was measured in 30 sample shops in the trade and service area of Gayamsari Subdistrict, then the analysis used was Descriptive Statistical analysis, GIS analysis, and Moran's I analysis. The research results generated from the implementation of this research are waste generation data in the form of total weight of waste generation, weight per type of waste, average weight of waste, and type of waste composition, through spatial analysis resulting in mapping the location of sample stores, the level of waste, and the range of neighborhoods around the store, and through Moran's I analysis resulting in the identification of spatial autocorrelation between sample stores, the form of spatial patterns, and hotspot maps of waste generation distribution. The resulting research results are used to draw conclusions on the application of the non-residential urban area waste measurement method in SNI 19-3964-1994.
