Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar siswa pada SMA Negeri 1 Baleendah masih rendah sehingga perlu ditingkatkan. Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar siswa dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode campuran (mixed method) tipe Embedded. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMA Negeri 1 Baleendah kelas X IPA Tahun Pelajaran 2018-2019 yang terdiri dari 8 kelas dengan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara random sebanyak 31 siswa. Penelitian yang dilakukan menghasilkan beberapa data, yaitu berupa data kuantitatif berupa hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan data kualitatif berupa hasil angket motivasi berprestasi belajar matematika siswa dan hasil observasi. Hasil analisis menunjukan: (1) peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan Problem Based Learning (PBL) lebih baik dari pada siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional, (2) Motivasi belajar matematika siswa dengan Problem Based Learning (PBL) lebih baik dari pada siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional, (3)Terdapat hubungan antara motivasi belajar matematika dengan pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang sangat kuat. Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning, Pemecahan Masalah, Motivasi Belajar. Abstract: Mathematical problem solving and student motivation in SMA Negeri 1 Baleendah are still low so it needs to be improved. Improving the ability of problem solving and student motivation can be done by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL). The purpose of this research is to describe the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving and motivation to learn after using the Problem Based Learning (PBL). The method used is the Embedded mixed method. The population of this study was all students of SMA Negeri 1 Baleendah class X IPA in the 2018-2019 Academic Year consisting of 8 classes with a sample of 31 randomized students. The research conducted produced some data, namely in the form of quantitative data in the form of test results of problem solving abilities and qualitative data in the form of questionnaires for students' achievement in mathematics learning achievement and observation results. The results of the analysis show: (1) improvement in students' problem solving skills with Problem Based Learning (PBL) is better than students with conventional learning, (2) Motivation in learning mathematics students with Problem Based Learning (PBL) is better than students with conventional learning , (3) There is a very strong relationship between students' motivation to learn mathematics and their ability to solve mathematical problem solving abilities. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Mathematical Problem Solving, Learning Motivation.

Abstract

Attitudes and understanding of students' abilities can still be said to be unfavorable to the learning outcomes, especially in the Madrasah. One effort that can be done by teachers in improving student learning outcomes is to choose the model that suits the learning objectives to be achieved. One of the methods were deemed always effective and efficient in teaching is STAD cooperative learning method that emphasizes the activities and interaction among students to motivate each other, help each other to master the subject matter to achieve maximum performance. The purpose of this study was to determine 1) whether the ability of students to use mathematical understanding of cooperative learning is better than the ability of students to use mathematical understanding of conventional learning. 2) increase the quality of students' understanding of mathematics skills using cooperative learning and conventional learning 3) whether the student has a good attitude towards learning mathematics using cooperative learning. 4) increase the quality of students' understanding of mathematics abilities seen from the attitude of students using cooperative learning STAD 5) the effectiveness of the learning is done in this study. The method used in this study is experimental methods. The instrument used in this study is the ability of understanding the math test and attitude scale. Abstract

The purpose of holding Microsoft Kaizala training is to train teachers' skills in making teaching materials according to the stages of problem solving exploration. This community service activity was attended by 163 participants, with the target activities being mathematics teachers and mathematics education students. The methods of implementing the service carried out are: (1) surveying the effectiveness of online mathematics learning; (2) forum group discussion (FGD); (3) webinars on the use of the microsoft kaizala application; (4) assistance in making teaching materials and evaluation instruments with the Microsoft Kaizala application and (5) evaluating the implementation of community service. The results of the evaluation showed that in general the participants expressed satisfaction with the implementation of community service activities that had been carried out.

Abstract

Teaching materials are an important requirement in realizing effective learning in schools. This problem requires the need for teaching materials as a solution to the problem of low numeracy skills. Some of the obstacles in learning mathematics are that teachers are less aware of the importance of preparing teaching materials according to their needs, the benefits of teaching materials in preparing learning tools and implementing learning, and teachers do not understand the mechanisms and techniques for preparing correct teaching materials. The preparation of teaching materials is very important, especially in improving students' mathematical abilities, especially numeracy. To provide solutions to these problems, the PKM Team conducted training on Teaching Materials and Numeracy Instruments for Elementary School Teachers. The stages that are passed are 1) preparation, 2) implementation and 3) evaluation. The participants of this training were 54 with the target audience of UNPAS Mathematics Education Master's students who teach in elementary schools and SD Plus Al-Ghifari mathematics teacher. The activity results showed an improvement in teachers' knowledge and skills regarding numeracy-based teaching materials and instruments, with an initial ability to obtain an average score of 27.04 and a final score with an average of 81.48. Meanwhile, participants' response to the PKM activity obtained a score of 4.6 in the highly satisfactory category. These activity results concluded that there was an improvement in teachers' knowledge and skills in developing numeracy-based teaching materials and instruments, and participants gave a highly satisfactory response to the training activity conducted.

Abstract

Siswa dituntut memiliki ketangguhan belajar yang baik pada era revolusi industri 4.0 ini, terlebih dalam pembelajaran matematika di madrasah-madrasah yang dinaungi sebuah pesantren yang membagi siswanya menjadi siswa salafiyah dan non salafiyah, dimana siswa salafiyah memiliki tugas lain diluar pembelajaran sekolah yaitu tugas-tugas kepesantrenan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ketangguhan belajar siswa salafiyah dan non salafiyah di madrasah dalam pembelajaran matematika.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey dengan subjek sebanyak 37 siswa kelas XII Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Alif Al-Ittifaq kabupaten Bandung. Instrumen penelitiannya berupa instrumen non-tes/ angket. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa siswa non-salafiyah memiliki ketangguhan belajar yang lebih baik dari siswa salafiyah, dimana siswa non-salafiyah memiliki ketangguhan belajar berinterpretasi cukup baik sedangkan ketangguhan belajar matematika siswa salafiyah berinterpretasi kurang baik. Kata Kunci: Ketangguhan Belajar, Pembelajaran Matematika, Siswa Salafiyah, Siswa Non-salafiyah

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Kemampuan guru dan mahasiswa magister pendidikan matematika dalam membuat dan memilih media pembelajaran serta mengemas proses pembelajaran berperan sangat penting dalam dalam menentukan keberhasilan dari hasil belajar. Namun, saat ini penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif masih kurang, karena kurangnya penguasaan teknologi oleh para guru dan mahasiswa magister pendidikan matematika. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, solusi yang diajukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah menyelenggarakan workshop tentang pembuatan storyboard dan games interaktif. Pendekatan PKM yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah Participatory Ation Reasearch (PAR). Peserta program pengabdian ini adalah guru dan mahasiswa magister pendidikan matematika. Data evaluasi hasil kegiatan PKM menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan peserta pelatihan pada kategori sangat memuaskan. Berdasarkan hasil tes yang diberikan, pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan storyboard dan games interaktif meningkatkan kemampuan guru dan mahasiswa magister pendidikan matematika dalam membuat media pembelajaran. Sebanyak 85% peserta pelatihan berhasil membuat storyboard dan games interaktif. Kata Kunci: games interaktif, media pembelajaran, storyboard [English]: The ability of master students in mathematics education to make learning media, choose learning media, and package the learning process plays a vital role in determining the success of learning outcomes. However, the use of interactive learning media is still lacking due to a lack of mastery of technology by teachers and students of master of mathematics education programs. To overcome this problem, the solution proposed in this PKM activity is to organize a workshop on making storyboards and interactive games. The PKM approach used in this training is Participatory Action Research (PAR). The participants of this program were the teachers and students of the mathematics education master's degree. Evaluation of the data shows that the level of participants was very satisfactory. The results of this program show that the training and assistance in making storyboards and interactive games increase the ability of teachers and students of mathematics education masters to make learning media. As many as 85% of the training participants succeeded in making interactive storyboards and games. Keywords: interactive games, learning media, storyboard

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang perlu dikembangkan agar siswa mampu mengatasi tantangan masa depan. Selain itu, bernalar kritis adalah salah satu aspek dalam Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang perlu dikembangkan dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Berkaitan dengan upaya meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas pendidik dan siswa dalam pembelajaran yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan Pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) dan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) serta mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa setelah melakukan pembelajaran tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan 2 siklus yaitu Siklus 1 yang terdiri dari 2 pertemuan dan Siklus 2 yang terdiri dari 3 pertemuan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 13 Bandung. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini ialah bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran PBL dengan pendekatan CRT dan TaRL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan penalaran matematis adalah aspek krusial dalam pembelajaran matematika. Namun, ketergantungan siswa pada teknologi dalam menyelesaikan soal justru memicu penurunan kemampuan penalaran tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMK menggunakan aplikasi Math Expert. Melalui metode campuran (mixed method) tipe embedded design, penelitian ini melibatkan 86 siswa kelas X SMK di Cianjur yang terbagi ke dalam kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, observasi, wawancara, dan instrumen tes penalaran matematis berdasarkan standar NCTM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan pada enam indikator penalaran NCTM, yang meliputi kemampuan: justifikasi kesimpulan; pengujian dugaan matematis; evaluasi argumen; variasi metode solusi; pengorganisasian data masalah; serta penilaian terhadap hasil kerja orang lain. Secara keseluruhan, penggunaan aplikasi Math Expert terbukti efektif meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMK, meskipun tingkat peningkatan pada setiap indikator bervariasi. Problem-solving and mathematical reasoning are crucial aspects of mathematics education. However, students' over-reliance on technology for problem-solving has triggered a decline in these specific reasoning abilities. This study aims to analyze the mathematical reasoning skills of vocational high school (SMK) students through the implementation of the Math Expert application. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach with an embedded design, the research involved 86 tenth-grade students in Cianjur, divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected via questionnaires, observations, interviews, and mathematical reasoning tests based on NCTM standards. The findings indicate significant differences across six NCTM reasoning indicators, including the ability to: justify conclusions; test mathematical conjectures; evaluate arguments; employ diverse solution methods; organize situational problem data; and assess the work of others. Overall, the results demonstrate that the Math Expert application effectively enhances students' mathematical reasoning skills, although the degree of improvement varies across the specific indicators.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student’s numeracy skills and learning resilience through the implementation of differentiated instruction and to analyze the influence of learning styles on learning outcomes. A mixed-method approach with a pretest–posttest design was employed involving Grade XI students of SMKN 1 Binong Subang, assigned to an experimental class and a control class. The experimental class received differentiated instruction based on visual and kinesthetic learning styles, while the control class received conventional instruction. Research instruments included a numeracy test on arithmetic sequences and series as well as a learning resilience questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, two-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation. The findings indicate that differentiated instruction significantly improved student’s numeracy skills and learning resilience, whereas learning styles did not exert a meaningful effect either independently or in interaction with the instructional method. These results affirm that differentiated instruction effectively accommodates student diversity while supporting both cognitive and non-cognitive outcomes. Teachers are advised to implement differentiated instruction consistently by emphasizing student’s readiness and learning needs rather than relying solely on learning styles. Further research is suggested to examine the effectiveness of this instructional approach across different subjects or educational levels to strengthen the generalizability of the findings.

Abstract

Tujuan: Fokus riset diarahkan pada perancangan sekaligus pengujian kelayakan suatu perangkat penilaian matematika berorientasi Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) yang dioperasikan melalui platform Quizizz. Selain menghasilkan produk evaluasi, kegiatan ini turut menelaah perubahan kemampuan problem solving serta self-efficacy peserta didik setelah penggunaan instrumen tersebut. Metode: Pendekatan yang diterapkan berbentuk R&D dengan kerangka kerja ADDIE. Pelaksanaannya melibatkan peserta didik kelas X TMI 4 dan X TMI 2 di SMK Bina Karya 1 Karawang. Perangkat pengumpulan data mencakup formulir penilaian pakar (bidang materi, media, serta konstruksi instrumen), seperangkat tes problem solving, dan kuesioner self-efficacy. Pengolahan data peningkatan kemampuan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon disertai perhitungan N-gain, sedangkan pengaruh perlakuan dihitung melalui indeks effect size. Hasil: Validasi memperoleh skor rerata 4,17 untuk aspek materi, 3,77 pada aspek media, dan 3,93 pada aspek instrumen, sehingga produk dinyatakan dapat digunakan. Hasil pengujian Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai Asymp. Sig di bawah 0,05 yang menandakan adanya perubahan signifikan pada problem solving skill. Pada variabel self-efficacy, perolehan N-gain berada pada kategori sedang dengan rincian magnitude 0,36, strength 0,39, serta generality 0,33. Nilai effect size terhadap problem solving tercatat 0,62 dalam kategori sedang, sedangkan pada self-efficacy termasuk kategori tinggi. Simpulan: Keluaran riset berupa instrumen evaluasi matematika berbasis HOTS terintegrasi dengan Quizizz yang telah melewati tahap penelaahan ahli dan uji terbatas. Perangkat tersebut tersedia sebagai opsi penilaian yang mendukung penguatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah sekaligus memperbesar tingkat keyakinan diri peserta didik saat menghadapi tugas matematika.
