Abstract

21st century education has an important role to equip students with how to process and use information critically. This can be realized by developing digital literacy-based learning media, one of them is flipbook. The development of the flipbook in this study was applied to reproductive system material because the basic competence of the material requires analysis of information from various sources. The aim of this study was to produce a valid flipbook of reproductive system which had an appropriate level of legibility. The study used Hannafin and Peck development model which consisted of the needs analysis, design, and development phases. The measured parameters included the validation and legibility level of the flipbook. Validation was done by education expert lecturer, reproductive system expert lecturer, and Biology teacher based on the appropriateness of content, presentation, language, and critical thinking components. while the level of legibility of the flipbook was measured using the Fry formulation by analyzed 100 words in each section. The results of the validation showed very valid categories in each component with the average percentage of the presentation was 87.5%, content eligibility 96.3%, linguistic 91.7% , and critical thinking 98.3%. The validation components got 93.5% average percentage with a very valid category. The level of legibility of the flipbook showed level 11 with the appropriate category for high school students. Based on the results of the study, the developed flipbook was declared to be very valid and had an appropriate level of legibility for high school students. Abstract

Critical thinking skill is one of the competencies students must master to be able to confront the challenges of 21st-century education. The government seeks to compile the 2013 curriculum with learner-centered learning that is relevant to daily life. Learning that is relevant in daily life, one of which is the learning of Biology in the sub materials of Human Blood Type System. One alternative that can be used to facilitate students in developing their critical thinking skills is by providing them teaching materials forms students worksheets based on Problem Based Learning (PBL). This study aimed to produce PBL-based Students Worksheets to train students’ critical thinking skills in the sub material of Human Blood type System based on the feasibility of presentation, content, and language. This study used the 4D model there were define, design, develop, disseminate. The stages carried out only up until the development stage. The validity of Students Worksheets was determined based on the results of the validation by three validators using the validation sheet instrument. Aspects of validity rated include aspects of presentation, content, language, worksheets characteristics to train critical thinking skills, and PBL-oriented worksheets characteristics. The results showed that the PBL-based worksheets in this study obtained a validity score of 3.95 with a very valid category. Based on the results of the validity, it can be concluded that the developed PBL-based worksheets in this study can be used in the teaching and learning process to train students' critical thinking skills. Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis adalah kompetensi yang dibutuhkan oleh setiap individu di era globalisasi. Upaya melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis salah satunya dengan menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis literasi sains, hal ini karena karakteristik pembelajaran tersebut dapat mengarahkan peserta didik dalam menganalisis dan memecahkan masalah terkait fenomena alam melalui pemberian pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang dapat memunculkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Salah satu materi yang dapat diajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis literasi sains adalah Materi Sistem Urinaria karena materi tersebut termasuk materi sistem kehidupan manusia yang didalamnya memuat kajian terkait dimensi literasi sains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas LKPD literasi sains pada Materi Sistem Urinaria untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dengan jenis pengembangan model 4D, yaitu pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran, tetapi penelitian ini selesai pada tahap pengembangan. Metode untuk mengumpulkan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode validasi. Validasi LKPD dilaksanakan oleh 2 orang dosen Jurusan Biologi Universitas Negeri Surabaya, data yang dihasilkan berupa validitas LKPD. Validitas LKPD diperoleh dari skor hasil validasi yang dianalisis menggunakan kriteria penilaian skala Likert untuk kemudian diinterpretasikan ke dalam kategori validitas. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari validasi LKPD menunjukkan skor validitas didaktik sebesar 3,75, validitas konstruksi sebesar 3,83, validitas teknis sebesar 3,83, dan validitas karakteristik LKPD sebesar 3,83. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD telah layak digunakan dalam melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Kata Kunci: validitas, LKPD, literasi sains, sistem urinaria, berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Kehamilan adalah salah satu momentum yang sangat didambakan oleh pasangan suami istri.  Sebagai seorang ibu yang sedang hamil seharusnya mengetahui mengenai kondisi saat hamil, bagaimana menjaganya selama kehamilan sampai melahirkan dan memberi asupan makanan yang sehat dengan gizi seimbang sesuai dengan kebutuhannya. Tak kalah pentingnya adalah menjaga kesehatan reproduksinya baik saat kehamilan sampai dengan masa nifas. Permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat, khususnya para ibu hamil yaitu masih kurang memahami tentang pengetahuan kehamilan dan kesehatan reproduksi di Desa Gisik Cemandi, Kabupaten Sidoarjo.  Hal ini dapat mempengaruhi kondisi kesehatan dan dapat menyebabkan terjadinya penyakit terkait dengan reproduksinya di saat hamil dan saat setelah nifas. Untuk itu perlu adanya upaya yang dilakukan   melalui   program kemitraan masyarakat agar ibu hamil selama kehamilan dalam kondisi prima melalui edukasi penyuluhan bagi masyarakat, khususnya ibu hamil dan pendampingan tentang peningkatan pengetahuan kehamilan dan kesehatan reproduksi.  Kegiatan ini melibatkan seluruh ibu hamil di Desa Gisik Cemandi, Sidoarjo pada bulan Agustus yaitu sebanyak lima belas ibu hamil. Pemberian materi yang dilaksanakan melalui metode ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, pretest-posttest dan pengisian angket. Hasil pelatihan dan pendampingan ini adalah adanya peningkatan pengetahuan kehamilan dan kesehatan reproduksi pada ibu hamil. Didapatkan hasil sebagai berikut, terdapat 13 responden (86,67%) dengan peningkatan pengetahuan yang baik, dan 2 responden (13,3%) dengan peningkatan pengetahuan kurang.

Abstract

Kemajuan zaman menuntut kita untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Saat ini mulai memasuki era abad ke-21 dimana berbagai macam keterampilan harus dimiliki oleh peserta didik. Salah satu keterampilan yang harus di miliki peserta didik adalah keterampilan berpikir kritis. Keterampilan ini digunakan untuk menalar dan menganalisis suatu permasalahan yang terjadi di sekitarnya. Materi sistem gerak sub materi rangka bersifat kompleks dan abstrak. Keterampilan berpikir kritis dapat dicapai melalui sumber belajar Elektronik Lembar Kerja Peserta didik (E-LKPD) berbasis literasi sains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan E-LKPD yang valid dan praktis. Pengembangan ini menggunakan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementtation, Evaluation). Parameter yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa validasi dan angket. Uji validitas diperoleh melalui validasi yang dilakukan oleh pakar, kepraktisan diperoleh dari hasil respon positif peserta didik. Uji coba dilakukan secara terbatas pada 15 peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Gresik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai validitas E-LKPD sebesar 96,03% dengan kategori sangat valid. Kepraktisan E-LKPD diukur berdasarkan hasil respon peserta didik dengan perolehan skor 93,37 % dengan kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut, maka E-LKPD berbasis literasi sains untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dapat disimpulkan valid dan praktis untuk diterapkan kepada peserta didik. Abstract

In Indonesia, dairy cattle farming is often done in a traditional or conventional maintenance. This study aims to determine the farmer characteristics and maintenance systems of dairy in Junrejo Village, Junrejo District, Batu City, East Java, Indonesia. This study used a survey approach and was observational in nature. Twenty dairy farmers were chosen as respondens because they had dairy cows that were lactation period. The data collected included farmer characteristics, land ownership, and livestock management systems. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the average age of farmers was 52.95±10.51 years, most of the farmers were of productive age with 33.54±12.45 years of farming experience. Most of the farmers were of productive age. Most of them (95.00%) were livestock farmer group dairy cattle. Dairy cattle ownership consisted of 2.50±1.79 dairy cows, 0.20±0.70 dairy bull, 1.42±1.22 heifers, 1.20±1.11 female calves, and 0.60±0.60 males calve. In conclusion, this study showed that farmer charateristics were of productive age, had experience in livestock farming, participated in livestock groups, and raised livestock primarily. Livestock maintenance was carried out in communal and individual pens, pen cleaning, and livestock bathing were performed twice a day.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of varying concentrations of strawberry–mint extract on the physicochemical and sensory characteristics of coconut water kefir as an innovative non-dairy functional fermented product. A laboratory experimental design was employed with three treatments: P1 (500 mL), P2 (750 mL), and P3 (1000 mL) of strawberry–mint extract. Sensory evaluation was conducted by 32 untrained panelists using the hedonic method, assessing color, aroma, taste, texture, and overall acceptability. The pH value was measured as a supporting indicator of fermentation quality and safety. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a significance level of p < 0.05. The results indicated that the addition of strawberry–mint extract significantly influenced several sensory attributes, particularly color and taste, with P3 achieving the highest panelist acceptance. The pH of all treatments ranged from 3.8 to 4.2, demonstrating optimal fermentation. The combination of coconut water, strawberry, and mint produced a probiotic beverage rich in bioactive compounds, exhibiting favorable sensory quality and offering a lactose-free functional food alternative. This innovation supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2, particularly by promoting the development of value-added local functional foods that contribute to food security.
