Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of giving Daphnia sp. as a natural feed enriched with the doses of glutamine to increase growth performance and survival rate of larvae. This study used a completed randomized design which consisted of four treatments, namely 0, 25, 50, dan 75 mgL-1 and three replications. The test feed was given to larvae stocked with 60 fish/aquarium (40 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm) for 21 days. The results showed that significant on growth performance and survival rate were revealed on larvae fed with Daphnia sp. which enriched by glutamine dose of 25-75 mgL-1.The physiological response of protease enzyme and antioxidant activity showed that better performance was found in the treatment with addition of glutamine rather than control. In short, enrichment of Daphnia sp. using glutamine can improve the growth performance and survival rate of goramy larvae. The optimal dose of glutamine for improving the survival of gorami larvae is 25 mg L-1. Abstrak Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas pemberian Daphnia sp. sebagai pakan alami yang diper-kaya dengan berbagai dosis glutamin untuk meningkatkan kinerja pertumbuhan dan sintasan larva ikan gurami. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap yang terdiri atas empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan ditentukan berdasarkan dosis glutamin yang berbeda yaitu 0, 25, 50, dan 75 mg L-1. Pakan uji diberikan pada larva ikan gurami yang ditebar 60 ekor ikan setiap akuarium (40 x 30 x 30 cm3) selama 21 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjuk-kan bahwa larva ikan gurami yang diberi pakan Daphnia sp. dengan pengayaan menggunakan glutamin dosis 25-75 mg L-1 memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan dan sintasan dibandingkan dengan kontrol (0 glutamin). Respon fisiologi aktivitas enzim protease dan aktivitas antioksidan menunjukkan kinerja yang lebih baik pada perlakuan penambahan glutamin dibandingkan dengan kontrol. Disimpulkan bahwa pengayaan Daphnia sp. menggunakan glutamin mampu meningkatkan kinerja pertumbuhan dan sintasan larva ikan gurami. Dosis optimal untuk meningkatkan sintasan larva ikan gurami adalah 25 mg L-1.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang telah dilaksanakan di Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Gajah Putih. Pada pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, pelatihan tentang penggunaan Mail Merge menjadi salah satu kemahiran dan keterampilan yang sangat diperlukan. Baik bagi staf fakultas dan sektretaris program studi. Keterampilan penggunaan Mail Merge ini akan memudahkan siapapun dalam melakukan pendataan. Baik berupa penulisan surat undangan, pembuatan SK, pembuatan buku Log bagi keperluan mahasiswa. Terutama dokumen yang mempunyai bentuk yang sama tetapi ditujukan pada lebih satu orang mahasiswa. Kenyataannya, masih banyak staf dan sekretaris yang belum mempunyai keterampilan dan kemahiran dalam menggunakan Mail Merge. Hal ini sangat disayangkan, karena adanya fitur Mail Merge untuk memberikan kelapangan dan kemudahan dalam menjalankan tugas dan beban kerja sehari-hari. Penggunaan Mail Merge dalam pembuatan dokumen ini akan mempercepat  pengerjaan dokumen tersebut karena dilakukan tidak satu- persatu tetapi secara bersamaan. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah untuk memberikan keterampilan penggunaan fitur Mail Merge dari aplikasi Microsoft Word dan Microsoft Excel kepada staf dan sekreataris yang berada di Fakultas Pertanian terutama dalam pengeditan telaahan, pembuatan surat undangan, Surat Keputusan dan lainnya.

Abstract

Depik Fish (Rasbora tawarensis) is an endemic fish species found in Tawar Lake, with a threatened status. Domestication efforts are being undertaken to conserve the Depik Fish population. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of different vitamins on the growth and survival of Depik Fish. The study was conducted at Balai Benih Ikan (BBI), Pegasing - Central Aceh Regency, from December 2021 to January 2022. A Complete Random Design (CRD) with four treatment levels and four replications was employed, including a control group and three experimental groups: 300 mg/kg feed of vitamin C, vitamin B complex, and Viterna Plus. The results of the Anova test indicate that the dosage of vitamin C, vitamin B complex, and Viterna Plus in commercial feed significantly influenced the absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, and specific growth rates of the Depik Fish (P<0.05). However, it did not have a significant effect on feed efficiency and survival. Duncan’s test revealed significant differences among the treatment groups, with the highest values observed in the application of Viterna Plus at a dosage of 300 mg/kg feed, which resulted in increased growth and survival of the Depik Fish. Therefore, the use of Viterna Plus in fish feed is recommended.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the community structure of aquatic plants in locations that have floating net cages (KJA) and those that do not have floating net cages in Lake Laut Tawar. The research was conducted from November 2021 to January 2022. The research method used was descriptive analytic consisting of 5 stations, each station was repeated 3 times. Observation stations consist of Mendale and One-one which represent KJA waters. Bebuli, Mepar and Kala Segi representing regions do not have KJA. Based on the results of the study, 3 types of aquatic plants were found, Eichhornia crassipes, Hydrilla verticillata and Salvinia molesta. The highest biomass is found in the KJA area at One one station with a biomass of 5 906.67 g/m2. The uniformity index (H') values ​​range from 0.35-0.69, the E uniformity index ranges from 0-0.48 and the dominance index (D) ranges from 1.37-3.79. Aquatic plants in the KJA area are characterized by higher dissolved solids, nitrate and total phosphate values ​​compared to KJA.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of feedingdifferent types of food on the density and growth of Daphnia magna, and determine the best type of feed for the culture of Daphnia magna. This research conducted in Balai Benih Ikan Lukub Badak – Aceh Tengah from Februari to Maret 2020. This study used a completely randomized design with 5 level of treatments 3 replications is : administration of bread yeast at a dose of 0,03 g/l, soy fermentation and doubt fermentation at a dose of 0,06 g/l, and tilapia pond and catfish pond water. The result of this study showed that the highest value was in treatment A with a density of 104, a growth rate of 0, , and a peak population of 104Ind/L.
