Abstract

The life that is lived now and in the future cannot be separated from the role of history in the past. Mathematics learning plays an important role in everyday life, often we find problems in everyday life can be solved with mathematical concepts. In learning mathematics, mathematical scientists contribute greatly to the learning of mathematics and mathematical concepts. It cannot be denied, in the golden age of Islam many Muslim scientists sprang up, including mathematical scientists. Muslim mathematicians who were very famous, one of them was al- Khawarizmi. The branch of science in mathematics put forward by al- Khawarizmi is Algebra. Algebra is very much used in the life of the current global era. Algebra is found in many daily activities, such as buying and selling, Mawaris knowledge, and so on. al- Khawarizmi is also an inventor of zeros and the originator of the concept of algorithms. In addition, this paper will discuss the contribution of scientist Ibn al- Haytham to the concept of absolute value, al- Biruni towards the concept of "The Broken Chord" theorem, al- Khayyami on the concept of geometry. The mathematical concepts found by scientists are what we use a lot today to solve problems used in everyday life.

Abstract

Penelitian Pengembangan ini mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis Realistic Mathematic Education untuk mahasiswa semester III pada mata kuliah Matematika SD/MI Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Tujuan pembelajaran matematika ialah agar mahasiswa mahir dalam kemampuan matematis, untuk mendukung hal itu perlu media yang baik, salah satu nya bahan ajar. Persepsi mahasiswa terhadap bahan ajar yang digunakan selama ini belum menuntun perkembangan kemampuan matematis mahasiswa. Mahasiswa menilai bahan ajar belum memuat konteks pembelajaran untuk membangun pengetahuan awal dan mengaitkan materi dengan pengalaman sehari, hari. Untuk itu dosen dan mahasiswa membutuhkan bahan ajar yang mudah, praktis dan efisien untuk mengembangkan kemampuan matematis. RME merupakan suatu pendekatan yang aktifitas nya lebih menenkankan konteks dan interaktivitas mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan matematis. Konsep yang terdapat dalam bahan ajar dihubungkan dengan pengalaman kehidupan sehari-hari. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan berdasarkan hasil persepsi dan kebutuhan dosen dan mahasiswa, kemudian divalidasi oleh para pakar, selanjutnya revisi berdasarkan saran dari validator

Abstract

Abstract mathematical concepts will be easy to understand with learning in the form of visualization and demonstration. GeoGebra software is useful for the learning process of constructing mathematical material through demonstration and visualization and finding solutions to mathematical problems. This GeoGebra Software Exploration Workshop is an activity of the Mathematics Tadris Study Program which aims to help develop students' mathematical abilities. The purpose of this study is to evaluate workshop activities using the Kirkpatrick model. Types of Research Using Descriptive Qualitative research. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The results of the evaluation of the level of participant satisfaction with the workshop activities are very good, as can be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the workshop activities. The results of the evaluation of the participants' skills after participating in the activity are quite well demonstrated by the ability of participants to operate GeoGebra Software. In the learning process students have been able to solve mathematical problems and understand concepts using the help of GeoGebra Software media, as well as the impact of changes in students' concept understanding ability to increase and develop rapidly.

Abstract

This Development Research develops teaching materials based on Realistic Mathematic Education for third semester students in the SD / MI Mathematics subject of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program. The purpose of mathematics learning is for students to be proficient in mathematical abilities, to support it, it needs good media, one of the teaching materials. Students 'perceptions of teaching materials used so far have not led to the development of students' mathematical abilities. Students assess teaching material does not yet contain the learning context to build initial knowledge and relate material to day-to-day experiences. For that lecturers and students need teaching materials that are easy, practical and efficient to develop mathematical abilities. RME is an approach whose activities further emphasize the context and interactivity of students in developing mathematical abilities. The concepts contained in teaching materials are related to the experiences of everyday life. Teaching materials developed based on the results of perceptions and needs of lecturers and students, then validated by experts, then revisions based on suggestions from the validator.

Abstract

Pada abad ke-21 saat ini Kemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi salah satu kemampuan yang sangat dibutuhkan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika, seiring dengan meningkatnya pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) sebagai teknologi pendukung pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam pembelajaran matematika terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan kerangka PRISMA, dengan database yang terindeks Scopus dan Google Scholar pada tahun 2022 – 2026. Proses seleksi menghasilkan sebanyak 16 artikel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan AI dalam pembelajaran matematika memiliki potensi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif dan kemandirian belajar. Namun penggunaan AI dapat dipengaruhi oleh pendekatan pedagogis, AI akan lebih efektif jika diintegrasikan dengan model pembelajaran yang reflektif, berbasis masalah dan mendorong evaluasi mandiri. Di sisi lain, penggunaan AI secara pasif dan ketergantungan berlebihan dapat menurunkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif dan kemandirian belajar. Oleh karena itu, AI disarankan digunakan sebagai alat pendukung pembelajaran yang mendorong siswa untuk berpikir kritis, reflektif dan mandiri serta guru dapat mengintegrasikan AI dengan model pembelajaran yang berbasis pemecahan masalah dan diskusi agar siswa aktif dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Education is an important part of human life that aims to improve quality of life through the development of knowledge, skills, and abilities. In the learning process, teachers play a key role in determining strategies, methods, and techniques to ensure effective learning. However, many teachers still use traditional and monotonous teaching methods, causing students to become less active, less motivated, and have difficulty understanding mathematical concepts that are abstract, deductive, and symbolic. Therefore, innovative teaching strategies are needed to encourage active participation and develop students’ critical thinking skills. One approach is Jerome S. Bruner’s learning theory, which uses enactive, iconic, and symbolic representations to support discovery learning. This approach helps students understand concepts gradually, from concrete to abstract ideas. This study uses a qualitative literature review method by examining journal articles and relevant books. The findings show that applying Bruner’s theory in mathematics education can increase learning motivation, conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and systematic problem-solving abilities.
