Errors in the design of a mountain shoe cause inconvenience to consumers. This article discusses the factors that affect consumer satisfaction of mountain shoe products, so get the appropriate product design. Data processing is done by Kano method that shows response from respondent tend to spread. Another finding is that the number of values between categories in some attributes has an insignificant difference. Determination of Kano category is done by using Kanos satisfaction coefficient graph. The results show that the dominating category is must-be, ie 9 attributes need to be a priority because it is a basic need that must be met.

Abstract

Wheat flour consumption in Indonesia continues to increase, so the government must import wheat on a large scale. One of the ways to reduce wheat consumption is by using substitutes. Mocaf (modified cassava flour) is a kind of flour that derived from cassava plants (Manihot esculenta). This flour can be used as a substitute for wheat flour due to its similar characteristics. Even though it has high economic potential, mocaf has only been marketed locally. One of the reason is the lack of quality packaging. The purpose of this study is to identify consumer preferences for mocaf packaging so that they can market the product not only locally but also nationally. In this study, AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method with four alternatives (plastic stand up pouch combination, Aluminium foil stand up pouch combination, screen printing plastic pouch, and paper pouch combination) and three criteria (price, model, and durability) is used to determine consumer preferences for mocaf packaging. This research obtained the conclusion that the highest weight for criterion and alternative are price and the screen printing plastic pouch.

Abstract

Muslim dominates the total population in Indonesia. Islamic modern retail growth in Indonesia is predicted to increase since Muslims started to consider the religion aspects for their daily life. Nevertheless, there has not been much research on this matter. This study aims to investigate Islamic modern retail attributes for Muslim shoppers in Indonesia. Furthermore, this research will focus on the patronage intention of Muslim shoppers. A sample of 144 consumers of modern Islamic retail in Indonesia was collected. The data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results revealed that Islamic modern retail attributes, such as the Islamic store atmosphere and Islamic value, had a significant positive effect on Muslim shopper’s patronage intention. While other attributes, such as Muslim product, humanistic, and halal product certification, have no significant effect on Muslim shopper’s patronage intention. This study confirmed that each one-unit increase in independent variables, namely Muslim product, Islamic store atmosphere, humanistic, halal product certification, and Islamic value, respectively, will cause an increase in patronage intentions of 0.114, 0.238, 0.025, 0.044, and 0.263 unit.

Abstract

Abstract. The increase in urbanization has led to a rise in of the number of vehicles in the city and the frequency of goods delivery in urban environments. The concepts of city logistics have been developed and implemented to cope with those problems in the urban freight transport system. One cooperative freight transport scheme is the urban consolidation scheme. Urban consolidation centers (UCC) have been used by some cities over the last two decades to minimize unnecessary vehicle movement, congestion, and pollution. For a company that sells fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), business prospects in supermarkets or groceries are currently still quite promising. Yogyakarta City ranks as the 6th most populous city in Indonesia, making it one of the largest cities in the country. Since there are many citizens and students from other towns across Indonesia, many modern retail businesses operate in Yogyakarta. If each of these businesses distribute their goods from their distribution centers (DCs) to their respective retailers, the number of freight transports will be substantial, and the congestion level will increase. This study examines the benefit of a collaboration strategy in which the top four retailers in Yogyakarta use a UCC. The advantage is expressed in total transportation cost. We developed three different scenarios that will be compared. In this research, the gravity location model is used to determine the location of the UCC, and the demand allocation model is used to determine the optimum of demand allocation from the UCC. This study reveals that using a collaborative strategy using a UCC can decrease the total transportation cost of the retailers. Keywords: City logistics, urban consolidation center, location problem, gravity location model, demand allocation modelAbstrak.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of Indonesian economy. Therefore, it is considered important to notice the condition of MSMEs in Indonesia. The business process in MSMEs usually conducted traditionally, included in determining total amount of production. As a result, sometimes there is a buildup of inventory which causes an increase in the total production cost. On the other hand, lost sales can also occur due to the amount of production couldn’t meet demand. This study aimed to solve production optimization problem with the objective function of minimizing total costs by considering inventory. It is expected that consumer demand can always be fulfilled and there is no overstock through optimization. A case study was conducted in Al-Barik MSME in Bantul Regency which produces various of snacks. Its strategic location makes Al-Barik MSME visited by tourists frequently to buy souvenirs, such as chips. This research was conducted using linear programming with LINGO. According to optimal solution, the minimum total cost spent on banana chips, bitter melon chips, and chili chips for a month was Rp. 98.227.900. Total inventory cost also decreased by an average 82.8% for each product during a month. The optimization made MSME’s able to meet the demand for each product at each period. Therefore, the profit obtained from the three types of products increased by Rp. 3.061.925 in a month.
