Abstract

There is no denying that wireless communication technology is a very important component of modern society. One aspect of modern society where the application of wireless communication technology has tremendous potential is in an emergency. This is especially true in weak places and cannot be reached at all by cellular signals. A good example would be the application of wireless communication technology to transmit data about the emergency button is mountained. Nowadays in the mountain all those things can happen when the moment, the champion can experience, hurt, or sick in the middle. Therefore, our goal in this study is to develop and test an affordable wireless communication system for the swimming state center when performing applications. The system uses microcontrollers and communication systems that use Arduino and LoRa as Transceivers and Receivers. The system was successfully tested in the field and obtained data with a distance of 1.2 Km.

Abstract

Various kinds of problems are threatening homeowners from the danger of fire to the danger of theft. To reduce the crime rate that occurs in the community, especially the crime of theft and fire hazard, we need an Internet-based home security tool that can be used to access and obtain reports on the condition of the house directly. In this study the design of a unit of home security equipment was carried out using Arduino as a microprocessor to connect software and hardware by combining several sensors to monitor the home security. Sensors used include Passive Infra Red (PIR) to detect moving objects, MQ-2 sensors to detect smoke and solenoid door lock to lock doors that can be controlled and monitored through the android application as an interface used by its users. The research method used is the cryptographic method with the hill cipher algorithm as a safety data command given to the sensor device and door lock. The results of this study in the form of a home security system that is useful for monitoring the state of the house through an android mobile phone when detecting people or smoke that can endanger the situation when the house is empty, and can control the door lock and sensors remotely.

Abstract

Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) is a surveillance technology used in air navigation. This technology can view information in the form of 24 bit ICAO aircraft addresses, ident or squawk, latitude, altitude, nationality, speed, longitude, track and heading. The current development problem can only be done with the Flight Radar24 web-based application, so it requires an internet connection to operate. To solve this problem, the necessary hardware is needed that can receive ADS-B signal with a frequency of 1090MHz and can translate it into information. The RTL-SDR R820T2 is a software-based hardware device that can receive a wide range of signals from 25 MHz - 1700MHz. To maximize signal reception, an additional omnidirectional antenna is capable of receiving signals from all directions. With this system, it is expected to make it easier to fly directly without an internet connection.

Abstract

In studying telecommunications, students are required to master telecommunications equipment that is often used in laboratories. The high cost of telecommunications equipment causes students to take turns in observing and studying telecommunications equipment. If students are not careful in using telecommunications equipment owned by the laboratory, it is likely that the equipment will be damaged quickly, causing the learning process to be disrupted. Then we need an interactive application that can provide visual and auditory learning based on Android that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. So in this study, a HOPE application which means "hope" is designed using an android-based augmented reality. The research method used is the Marker Based Tracking method that uses three main axes namely X, Y, and Z with the help of coordinates (0, 0, 0) and also virtual in 3 dimensions. Three-dimensional objects will be marked with three main axes namely X, Y, and Z to appear virtual objects. The results of this research are to increase knowledge in the field of telecommunications, be able to increase the interest of new students in telecommunications engineering study programs, facilitate lecturers in teaching, and facilitate students to understand telecommunications equipment independently.

Abstract

Penyuluhan pelatihan Pelatihan Penerapan Metode Pengajaran Total Physical                                                 Response (TPR)  bagi guru Bahasa Inggris Madrasah  Ibtidaiyah di Pondok Pesantren Al Amalul Khair Palembang bertujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan kepada Guru Bahasa Inggris Madrasah  Ibtidaiyah di Pondok Pesantren Al Amalul Khair Palembang bagaimana melakukan penerapan metode pengajaran   Total Physical Response (TPR). Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk menambah pengetahuan serta memberikan alternatif pilihan cara pengajaran bagi guru Bahasa Inggris Madrasah  Ibtidaiyah di Pondok Pesantren Al Amalul Khair Palembang. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh seluruh guru Bahasa Inggris Madrasah  Ibtidaiyah di Pondok Pesantren Al Amalul Khair Palembang.  Dalam penyuluhan, terjadi diskusi dan brain-storming yang menarik sehingga kegiatan penyuluhan ini sesuai dengan yang telah direncanakan. Pada akhir kegiatan penyuluhan peserta telah memahami tata cara penerapan metode pengajaran Total Physical Response (TPR).

Abstract

Video conferencing adalah layanan komunikasi interaktif jarak jauh yang dapat mempertemukan dua orang atau lebih dengan memanfaatkan layanan internet broadband. Layanan ini dapat mengirim dan menerima data dalam bentuk audio dan video secara simultan atau teknik pengiriman secara dua arah. Data berupa audio dan video yang memiliki bandwidth cukup besar sehingga membutuhkan jaringan yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan bandwidth. Oleh karena itu, dipilih jaringan 4G LTE sebagai jaringan yang melakukan layanan video conference. Dalam penelitian ini jenis video conference yang dipilih adalah video conference multipoint dengan 4 provider yang berbeda - beda. Pengamatan dilakukan selama sebulan di gedung Politeknik Negeri Graha Sriwijaya. Hasil penelitian ini telah menyimpulkan bahwa provider A lebih unggul dari provider lain. di mana provider A hanya memiliki penundaan 6,03 ms dan packet loss hanya 0,2%. Kemudian provider D menempati urutan kedua, provider C menempati urutan ketiga dan terakhir provider B. Begitu juga penggunaan provider data A memiliki lebih banyak penggunaan data internet daripada penyedia lainnya. Ini dibuktikan dengan kualitas yang ditawarkan dan kejelasan gambar selama video conference.

Abstract

In this design presents the design of electric pulse monitoring devices in residential homes. This tool is designed using the Raspberry Pi as a microprosessor. In the design process, this tool uses a light sensor (Light Dependent Resistor) to read the change of lights from green to red on the electric token, Camera Pi NoIR to take pictures of electric pulses, and SIM 800 to send SMS notifications. With the programming language used in the design of this tool is Language C. In monitoring the use of electric pulses, this tool is also designed to be able to send notifications automatically when the use of electric pulses has reached the minimum limit. Notifications sent will be received in the form of sms and email by the homeowner. It is expected that this tool can provide convenience to homeowners to monitor the use of electric pulses from a distance when the house is empty.

Abstract

Nowadays wireless communication has become a basic necessity for the community. WiFi (wireless fidelity) One of them, which is a local network that uses an electromagnetic signal that works at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. Tool to implement WiFi is Access point (AP). The toughest bully in the world of WiFi is known for interference. Interference is the use of the same frequency or channel on a network. Interference can cause service quality to decline so that it is less optimal in its usage, therefore the optimization needs to the network so that users can use the network without constraints. From the results of the research that has been done, the optimization is done by evaluating the selection of the channel from each access point studied with the access point that was concluded that the optimization of the results of all access points experienced Improved signal quality as in AP 1 prior to optimized (-64.0) dBm to (-56.0) dBm category good and after optimized (-56.0) dBm to (-48) dBm category excellent.

Abstract

Internet is the nessecity that widely used today. One of the way to access the internet it self, we can use the facilities provides by PT.Telekomunikasi that is WiFi.Id. in this application, namely “The WiFi.Id Performance Monitoring Application” can be used to improving the WiFi.Id performance for making it always in good condition and stable. This application is made in web base application where is can be useful for checking WiFi.Id performance that distributed in several point in the fields, the preference from this application we can check in one point from several acceess point without needed to check every point with the provision we still getting a signal that emitted by WiFi.Id access point it self. From this application we can check the quality of bandwidth in every access point, we will know speeds of upload and download that giving and also know the value of ping and jitter in every access point that emitte the signal. This application also can show some of active access point in that location.

Abstract

Handovers on 4G networks such as Hard Handover when downlink and uplink must run well, if not then ongoing downlinks and uplinks will be hampered and even fail. This is closely related to potential customer satisfaction, thus the possibility of a handover failure resulting in dissatisfaction with operator users. Along with the high customer interest in 4G-LTE technology, this makes Telkomsel cellular operators maintain Quality & Performance where there is a decline in the quality of RSRP & SINR. One effort is to measure data in the field. The method in measuring data in the field is a Test Drive. Test Drive is a measurement method in a mobile communication system that aims to collect data on the measurement of signal quality of a network from the real direction in the field, so that it can know how the performance of the network.
