Abstract

This research aims to develop a Pictorial-based Two-Tier Multiple Choice Misconception Diagnostic Test on Buffer Solutions. This research uses the Development and Validation method. The development steps in this method consist of test development (design); validity and reliability test; development of determination key; use of tests, and analysis of results. Based on the content validity test using the Content Validity Ratio (CVR) method, there are 24 items meet the content validity criteria. Based on the reliability test obtained Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.827 which indicates that the developed test is included in the acceptable category. It can identify high school students' misconceptions about the buffer solutions because the presence of pictures can help students understand the problems about the buffer solutions, and can provide an overview of their mental representations so that misconceptions are revealed more deeply.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengobservasi tingkat ketertarikan siswa pada penggunaan aplikasi Chirality 2 sebagai media untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa pada pembelajaran kimia khususnya pada materi hidrokarbon. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu melalui (1) observasi, (2)kuesioner, (3) reflektif jurnal. Hasil analisis kebutuhan menunjukan bahwa responden merasa kesulitan memahami materi kimia terutama pada materi yang bersifat abstrak. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebanyak 4,8% siswa suka bermain game chirality 2, sebanyak 71,4% agak suka, dan sebanyak 14,3% siswa tidak suka dengan game chirarity 2. Game chirality 2 dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran kimia karena dapat membangkitkan motivasi dan minat belajar siswa. Penambahan fitur bahasa Indonesia dapat membantu pengguna dalam memahami cara kerja pada aplikasi Chirality 2.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to increase interest in learning chemistry using learning video media from reviewing articles. The research method used was a literature review. The results show a literature review conducted on 17 scientific journal articles with the use of instructional video media used in each article to increase motivation and learning outcomes. The summary of this review article on the use of instructional video media as a method of learning from the results of the article review is that there is an effect on students in student learning and also has no effect on students in student learning. Based on these results, we conclude that the developed learning media is suitable for use as learning media.

Abstract

Kemampuan Proses Sains (KPS) penting bagi setiap individu sebagai modal dasar untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan hidupnya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  persentase  tingkat  penguasaan  keterampilan  proses sains (KPS) siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Wonogiri dalam pelaksanaan praktikum titrasi asam basa. Teknik  pengambilan  sampel  dengan  cara purposive  sampling. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Wonogiri sebanyak 31 siswa. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian adalah observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Wonogiri pada materi titrasi asam-basa termasuk kategori sedang dengan rata-rata keseluruhan persentase 62,5%.

Abstract

This study aims to create and evaluate the effectiveness of a chemistry learning module based on various redox material representations. Research and development (R&D) is the methodology used in this research: using a 4D model. It consists of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stages. The research was carried out until the development phase. The quality of the module was assessed by material experts, media experts, and reviewers (chemistry educators). The respondents are 32 students in first grade of Senior High School Science class. Quality assessment and student responses were made using a Likert and Guttman scale questionnaire sheet. The result shows that the percentage of objectives found by validating all aspects of the module's content by media, reviewers, and chemistry educators experts are 91.6%, 94.7%, and 81.25%, respectively, with excellent categories, and students responded positively to the module. The module is considered helpful as a learning media for redox topics.

Abstract

Learning motivation is an important aspect that can encourage students to carry out learning. Self-Determination Theory assumes that individuals have basic psychological needs to develop and learn which include competence, relatedness, and autonomy. This study aims to characterize student learning experiences in the affective aspect (motivation) related to learning outcomes (Theory and Practicum). The researchers used the descriptive correlation research design to describe students' motivation profiles and provide an overview of the relationship between chemistry learning motivation and learning outcomes in Biochemistry courses (Theory and Practicum). The data was collected using the AMS-Chemistry instrument, which was analyzed through descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis. The AMS-Chemistry consists of a motivation subscale, extrinsic motivation, and intrinsic motivation, which are spread into 28 statements, which was validated and reliable. The research subjects used 40 students from a total population of 118 people. Overall, the motivation profile to learn chemistry in science education students on the amotivation subscale tends to disagree, extrinsic motivation with a tendency to agree, and the subscale of intrinsic motivation with a tendency to strongly agree. Student learning outcomes in Biochemistry (Theory) courses have a significant relationship with extrinsic motivation (external regulation, introjected regulation, identified regulation) and intrinsic motivation (to know, to experience), while in Biochemistry (Practicum) has a significant relationship with motivation extrinsic (identified regulation) and intrinsic motivation (to know, to accomplish, to experience). This finding is a reflection that can be used as a reference in developing further learning.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran yang dapat secara aktif melibatkan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran adalah model Inkuiri Terbimbing. untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar kimia topik asam basa pada siswa kelas XI. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi-eksperimental dengan desain posttest-pretest, terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas XI MIPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif siswa adalah tes. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan program SPSS 22. Hasil belajar siswa XI MIPA 1 dan XI MIPA 4 memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 79 dan 55. Dari analisis data pre-test dengan uji hipotesis Mann Whitney nilai Asymp. Sig. 0,398 > 0,05 yang berarti tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar. Sedangkan setelah diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan kedua kelas sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) dengan bantuan video pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terstruktur untuk meningkatkan keterampilan analisis tentang materi teori atom. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian LKPD pada materi struktur atom dengan kurikulum 2013 serta memahami tingkat kelayakan LKPD. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, Keefektifan LKPD dilihat menggunakan hasil nilai rata-rata dari posttest dan pretest. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA N 1 Prambanan Sleman kelas X Mipa 2. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat dikatakan LKPD berbasis inkuiri terstruktur dikategorikan belum memenuhi standar kriteria dan tidak efektif karena dapat dilihat hasil post-test yang lebih rendah dari pada hasil pre-test dengan persentase ketuntasan siswa pada pre-test sebesar 100%, sedangkan pada post-test terjadi penurunan nilai yaitu sebanyak 23 siswa mendapat poin 80 dan 10 siswa mendapatkan poin 100 dengan rata-rata poin post-test siswa yaitu sebesar 86.

Abstract

Integrating Islamic science and science can form positive student qualities, such as discipline and faith. However, there are still areas for improvement in teacher readiness and the creation of learning media that combine religion and science, especially chemistry lessons. This study aims to determine the feasibility of chemistry puzzle media based on the integration of Islamic science into petroleum materials. Development using the ADDIE model consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments in this study are validation sheets, product assessments, and student questionnaires. Products are validated by material and media experts, assessed by chemistry teachers, and in the responses of grade XI MIPA Madrasah Aliyah students. Qualitative data were tabulated and analyzed using the ideal assessment category to determine the quality of the media. The validation results by material and media experts on the media are considered very valid. The results of teacher assessment from the aspect of content and aspects of integration percentage of assessment 91.6%, percentage of 97.2% assessment of aspects of presentation and aspects of language and communication, 88.8% percentage of display aspects, 90.2% percentage of assessment aspects of typographic use and percentage of 95.8% assessment aspects of media organization. The results of the student response questionnaire get a very decent category. It was concluded that the media is considered very good and can be used as an innovation or alternative to learning integrated chemistry of petroleum materials. Based on an assessment of the overall ideal percentage of 92.6%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop website learning media (mobirise) based on guided discovery learning on high school chemistry subjects to increase students' understanding and interest in learning buffer solution material. This study used the research and development method with the ADDIE model, which includes five research stages: design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection techniques in this study were interviews, validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The data obtained were then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The result showed that validation results by material experts and media experts with a percentage of 100% with category very valid. The results of the assessment of the three reviewers received an average score of 89.4, an ideal level of 89.4%, with a very good category. The results of 30 students' responses showed an average score of 92.3 and an ideal percentage of 92.3% with a very good category, so learning media based on guided discovery learning can be feasible for learning.
