Abstract

Assessment of pavement condition is functionally the most important aspect in determining road maintenance and repair activities, so that the financing can be monitored properly. There are two methods in handling the road assessment, ie visually and using tools. Visual assessment can use PASER and PCI. While IRI is a road assessment using Roadroid (Android Smartphone App) tool, where the tool will be used as national reference to get IRI value, because the cost is cheaper and effective. Therefore there needs to be a correlation between the three methods. Correlation in this research is divided into three, namely the correlation of PASER value with PCI, PASER with IRI, and PCI with IRI. The research location used as research object is South Ring Road Sragen. The result of the research was obtained, road assessment using PASER method with PCI resulted correlation value of pearson 0,51. Assessment of PASER with IRI has a correlation value of pearson -0,14. While the value of PCI with IRI yield correlation value pearson -0,23. The value of the correlation coefficient between PASER and PCI has the highest value, since it has a nearly equal assessment approach by measuring the damage visually. The correlation of PCI with IRI is higher than PASER with IRI, thus proving that PCI assessment is more recommended because it can accommodate all types of road damage.

Abstract

Abstract

Population growth and rapid urbanization have increased transportation demand and triggered traffic problems. Capacity-based approaches often exacerbate these conditions, highlighting the need for a sustainable transportation concept. The government has designated the development of public transportation as a national priority program, one of which is through bus rapid transit (BRT). To ensure the efficiency, reliability, and attractiveness of BRT, the implementation of bus signal priority (BSP) is essential. This study aims to evaluate the performance of passive and active BSP strategies at signalized intersections within a BRT system using VISSIM microscopic simulation. The strategies analyzed include cycle time adjustment, phase splitting, red truncation, green extension, and phase insertion. The simulation results indicate that the most effective strategies are cycle time adjustment with the early cut off concept for passive BSP and phase insertion for active BSP. The performance of BSP strategies is influenced by the number of phases, traffic movement patterns, and bus service frequency, which vary according to the applied strategy. This study recommends selecting BSP strategies through comprehensive simulation study to achieve both effective performance and cost efficiency before implementation.

Abstract

Urban freight transport poses significant challenges to traffic management, road safety, and environmental sustainability in Surakarta City. This study examines the development and implementation of the SIMABA application, operationalized as the SIDJAKA digital dispensation licensing system, for monitoring and controlling urban freight transport movements. The freight transport trip characteristic survey was conducted to identify origin-destination trips, frequency, weight and type of cargo, and distribution patterns. The road inventory survey was intended to obtain road geometry data, while the traffic count survey was done to collect traffic volume during peak hours. Meanwhile, secondary data consisting of information on road functions and bearing capacity, land use of activity centers, traffic signs, and administrative licenses submitted through SIDJAKA application from January 2020 to December 2025 were obtained from relevant institutions. This study demonstrates that the SIMABA application, implemented through the SIDJAKA system, effectively regulates the licensing of freight transport in Surakarta City. Monitoring of this application can be carried out systematically and transparently, ensuring that administrative and technical requirements, particularly vehicle roadworthiness, are met, thus ensuring more controlled urban freight transport. The analysis of origin-destination trips indicates that freight transport flows are significantly influenced by changes in the road network and infrastructure development, with the distribution activities remaining concentrated in market areas and major commercial corridors. Although effective, the system faces limitations in terms of cross-regional scale, data integration, maintenance systems, and digital user literacy, which may hinder its adoption and optimal utilization. As a future research agenda, developing the system into an integrated platform that connects cross-regional licensing, vehicle inspection systems, and electronic law enforcement is recommended to achieve greater adaptability and efficiency.

Abstract

Bojonegoro Regency village road infrastructure development continues to be carried out through Special Financial Assistance. The choice of flexible pavement and rigid pavement types used in local construction has different characteristics, advantages and disadvantages. This comparison of pavement is relevant to the quality and cost of road maintenance. The research was conducted to analyze and assess the condition of village roads in Bojonegoro Regency by analyzing cost efficiency and analyzing the type of construction that suits village road needs, using the PCI (Pavement Condition Index) method to assess the condition of road sections and remaining service life. Samples were taken at 3 locations with results from Glagahwangi Village, Sugihwaras District, 77.33 (very good) with a repair cost of IDR 32,458,293 and remaining service life of 9.25 years, Sukowati Village, Kapas District 71.8 (very good) with repair costs IDR 34,501,280 and remaining service life of 7.44 years, and Pekuwon Village, Sumberejo District 78 (good) with repair costs of IDR 23,753,750 and remaining service life of 9.33 years. Pekuwon Village has the best efficiency of IDR 2,545,953,- per year compared to other village road pavement models.
