Abstract

AbstractAccording to the mandate of the Act, education is to develop character and achievement holistically. It seems that this educational goal does not reach expectations. It can be seen from the rise of elementary school students’ moral decadence. In addition, learning achievement is still lagging when compared in a global context. This condition is quite apprehensive. Therefore, it is necessary to create a religious culture. There are interesting things, however, that happen in State Primary School Pasirkaliki 1 Cimahi and Primary School Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 1 Semarang. Both schools create a religious culture and implicate good manners and achievement of student learning outcomes. This research is based on Lickona's theory. The research method is qualitative descriptive. The instruments are in-depth interviews, in-depth observation, and documentation. The analysis is conducted through data collection, data reduction, data display, and data conclusion. The research findings show that (1) students’ religious culture and good character in elementary education in Java Island both in State Primary School Pasirkaliki 1 Cimahi and Primary School Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 1 Semarang already be implemented well so, generally, it creats students’ good character. (2) Student achievement of primary education in Java Island, State Primary School Pasirkaliki 1 Cimahi and Primary School Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 1 Semarang, is excellent and the best in their region. (3) State Primary School Pasirkaliki 1 Cimahi and Primary School Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 1 Semarang do many efforts in creating a religious culture and outstanding students. Nevertheless, these efforts are quite consistent and serious in the frame of habituation and exemplary to learners. (4) The headmaster of State Primary School Pasirkaliki 1 Cimahi has performed formally her role, and less active when compared with her role subordinate (a teacher). This means that the role of leadership seems to be taken over by this teacher. Meanwhile, the role of school principal Primary School Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 1 Semarang is quite good and dominant. He became the mover of his subordinates in creating a school religious culture.Keywords: Culture, Religious, Character, Achievement

Abstract

 Kepala Sekolah memegang peranan penting dalam perkembangan lembaga pendidikan, bertanggung jawab terhadap proses pembinaan tenaga kependidikan,  untuk itu Kepala sekolah harus mengetahui segala potensi tenaga kependidikan. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas tenaga kependidikan Kepala sekolah dituntut untuk dapat menciptakan upaya dalam peningkatan profesionalisme kerja tenaga kependidikan. Tenaga kependidikan dapat dikatakan profesional jika telah memiliki 4 kompetensi (kompetensi kepribadian, sosial, metodik  spesialis). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi kinerja, profesionalisme kerja, dan upaya Kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas profesionalisme kerja tenaga kependidikan di MA Kapetakan. Hasil penelitian dapat dijelaskan sebagai berikut: 1) Gambaran kinerja yang dilakukan tenaga kependidikan yaitu dengan melaksanakan pengelolaan kurikulum, kesiswaan, kepegawaian, keuangan, sarana prasarana, hubungan masyarakat, dan pengelolaan kearsipan 2) Profesionalisme kerja menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat tenaga kependidikan yang double job, mismatch, kurang menguasai IT, dan kurang kesadaran akan peningkatan profesionalisme kerja 3) upaya yang dilakukan Kepala Sekolah yaitu dengan mengikutsertakan diklat, IHT (In House Training), kursus komputer, evaluasi setiap semester, wokshop dan belajar ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Kata Kunci: Kepala Sekolah, Profesionalisme, Tenaga KependidikanThe head of the School plays an important role in the development of educational institutions, responsible for the process of coaching staffs, for it is the Head of the School should be aware of all potential personnel. To improve the quality of educatiojatinal personnel School principal required to be able to create an effort in improving the professionalism of the personnel. Personnel may be said to be a professional if you already have a 4 competence (competence of the personality, social, methodical specialist). This research is a qualitative research. This research aims to know the description of the performance, professionalism, and the efforts of the Head of the school in improving the quality of professionalism of the personnel in MA Kapetakan. The results of the research can be explained as follows: 1) an Overview of the performance of committed educators, namely by carrying out the management of the curriculum, student, personnel, finance, infrastructure, public relations, and management of the archives 2) the Professionalism of the work shows that there are still educators who double job, mismatch, less master IT, and lack of awareness will increase the professionalism of the work 3) the efforts made Head of the School is to include training, IHT (In House Training), computer courses, the evaluation of each semester, workshop and learning to a higher level.Keywords: Principal, Professionalism, Personnel

Abstract

  Sumber daya manusia di dalam sebuah lembaga pendidikan meliputi kepala sekolah, tenaga pendidik, tenaga kependidikan, karyawan dan peserta didik. Untuk itu dibutuhkan adanya sistem manajemen sumber daya manusia yang profesional yang mampu melaksanakan tugas pokok dan fungsinya dengan baik sesuai bidangnya. Dengan adanya manajemen sumber daya manusia yang baik diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas kinerja tenaga pendidik yang ada di dalamnya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitan kualitatif  deskriptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi kepala sekolah, sumber daya manusia dan upaya kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di TK An-Nida Kota Cirebon. Hasil penelitian dapat dijelaskan sebagai berikut: 1) Kepala sekolah melaksanakan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengawasan kepada tenaga pendidik sebagai upaya dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia 2) Kualitas sumber daya manusia menunjukkan bahwa kualitas tenaga pendidik di sekolah tersebut memiliki profesionalisme kerja yang baik dalam mengajar, namun masih terdapat tenaga pendidik yang kurang menguasai IT dan kurang kesadaran akan kedisiplinan. 3) Upaya yang dilakukan kepala sekolah yaitu dengan mengikutsertakan Kelompok Kerja Guru, pelatihan komputer, pembinaan tentang materi pembelajaran, workshop dan evaluasi setiap semester. Kata Kunci: Upaya, Kepala Sekolah, Sumber Daya ManusiaHuman resources in an educational institution include principals, educators, education staff, employees and students. For this reason, it is necessary to have a professional human resource management system that is able to carry out its main tasks and functions properly according to their fields. With good human resource management, it is expected to be able to improve the quality of the performance of the educators in it. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. This study aims to determine the description of the principal, human resources and the principal's efforts in improving the quality of human resources in An-Nida Kindergarten, Cirebon City. The results of the study can be explained as follows: 1) The principal carries out planning, organizing, implementing and supervising the teaching staff as an effort to improve the quality of human resources 2) The quality of human resources shows that the quality of the educators in the school has good work professionalism in teaching, but there are still educators who do not master IT and lack awareness of discipline. 3) Efforts made by school principals are by involving Teacher Working Groups, computer training, coaching on learning materials, workshops and evaluations every semester.Keywords: Efforts, The Head of The School, Human Resources
