Abstract

ABSTRACT Geographically, South Minahasa district lies between 1 ° 17'18.22 "north latitude and 124 ° 54'48.84" east longitude, with a total area is 1188.67 km2, or approximately 8% of the total area of North Sulawesi (15.069.00 km2 ), with the coast in the north and south and the high plains, where irrigated rice fields provide an abundant harvest. Nature and the weather in this area is suitable for agricultural. At almost all districts  various agricultural crops can grow. Rice cultivation is mostly irrigated, in addition there is still also a rainfed. Planting is done two to three timesa year  and sometimes rotated withother food  crops. Food crops cultivated by the inhabitants consist of rice, corn, potatoes, and other food crops as well as various other horticultural crops. Besides Rice, South Minahasa also produces maize and cassava in relatively large quantities. Thus, the food crop farmers in South Minahasa can choose from various types of crops that can be cultivated in their agricultural lands. This study was conducted in August until September 2016 in South Minahasa regency. Required data were collected using survey methods, and analyzed with linear programming method using  solver application in Microsoft excel. Based on the research results, if the labor supply increased by 2 per family farmers and harvesting is done by machines  the farmer income per year increased from Rp 720 million, - to Rp 1.84 billion, - obtained from the cropping pattern of 15 hectares rice and 10 hectares corn for Musafir 4 farmer groups. the same goes for the Torout Jaya farmer groups, revenue per year increased from Rp 582 million, - to Rp 2.3241 billion, - which is obtained from the cropping pattern 17 hectares of rice and 20 hectares of soybeans.  Keywords : Optimization Farming, Linear Programming, Solver

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study aims to obtain information about the problems that occur in irrigation networks at the right part of Talawaan dam and produce a computer application model as an expert system. It is hoped that this expert system application can be useful to provide information about the problems that occur in the irrigation network in Talawaan dam, especially on right Talawaan irrigation networks and can provide solution of the problem through an expert system application that can be accessed by each user. This research was conducted in the Technical Laboratory of Agricultural Faculty of Agriculture Technology Department of UNSRAT and in Talawaan dam, Talawaan Subdistrict, North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province, and divided into two stages: irrigation network data collection and expert system application development.  Data collection on right Talawaan dam is done by calculating inflow water discharge and outflow water discharge and evaporation on primary, secondary and tertiary channel then documentation on problems that occur on irrigation channel. There is a water loss of 0.187 m3 / sec on the primary channel, 0.213 m3 / sec of water loss in secondary channels, and water loss of 0.074 m3 / sec on tertiary channels. Factors that cause water loss include the problem of damage to irrigation channels, garbage accumulation, illegal water taking, and silting of channels by mud. With this expert system, users can get information on problems that occur on irrigation channels and can consult to find solutions to the problem.  Keywords: Irrigation Network and Expert System

Abstract

Abstract  This study aims to determine the energy sources at the stage of the copra processing commonly made by the people, to measure the amount of energy used at each stage of the people's copra processing process, to calculate the total energy used eachs of was obtained by means of energy analysis surveys. The resulting data consists of primary and secondary data.  The total input energy in the process of people's copra is more than twice the amount of output energy contained in the copra produced (870,840 kcal). This condition indicates the need to improve the efficiency of the copra processing process in energy utilization.. Keywords: Energy of coconut fiber, human energy, livestock energy.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to create an application of geospatial information on irrigation networks in Popontolen Village that supports the online monitoring and maintenance of irrigation networks based on WebGIS. This information system can be built using computers with low specifications and is supported by easy and free software (open source). This WebGIS design utilizes the framework of QGIS and the Bootstrap framework for the overall appearance of WebGIS, both of which have a programming language for displaying WebGIS. By utilizing free hosting services that are available, this WebGIS prototype can be accessed by internet users by typing the URL in the address bar https://sijaripopontolen.000webhostapp.com/index.html. And can be displayed on various devices both desktop and mobile-based. Keywords : Irrigation Networks,

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to identify the use of energy sources at the stage of the paring process, calculate the total energy used at the stage of the paring process and calculate the energyefficiency in this case, the efficiency of drying at the paring drying process. From the results ofthis study found the total energy used for paring drying at PT. Royal Coconut Airmadidi of22,808,070,020,500 joules. While the drying efficiency was found to be 33.2%, it means that outof 100% of the energy expended, only 33.2% was actually used in the paring drying process. Keywords: Energy Analysis, Paring Drying.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the economy, total costs and economic feasibilityof the soybean threshing process using the power thresher MPT 001 Type atLolah Satu Village, East Tombariri District, Minahasa Regency. Break evenpoint value or operational break even point of the power thresher MPT 001Type is at an operating level of 17.866,53 kg/year or equivalent to Rp.7.878.577/year. Analysis of the operational feasibility of the power thresherMPT 001 Type based on the amount of service potential available using acommercial scale calculation base is, resuted NPV value of Rp.302.056.654,69, the IRR of 195,982%, the B/C ratio of 1.4497. This conditionshows that the power thresher MPT 001 Type is economically feasible. Basedon the existing condition on site the machine does not fulfil the operationconditions that guarantee sustainability. The sensitivity analysis shows thatchanges in the level of working hours per year and the price of drying servicesare very influential on the feasibility of operations with the lowest level beingthe service price of 1.1 times the total cost of threshing services. Keywords: economics analysis. power thresher, soybean

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to measure the dimensions of length, width, and thickness of soybean seeds at (two) different moisture content at 14% moisture content at harvest and 9% after drying, as well as determine the arithmetic diameter and geometry of soybean seeds, calculate the weight of 1000 soybean seeds in ( two) different moisture content, namely water content at harvest 14% and after drying 9%, calculating roundness, bulk angle and friction angle of soybean seeds at (two) different moisture content at water content at harvest 14% and after drying 9%, and determine the bulk angle and friction angle of soybean seeds at (two) different moisture content at 14% water content at harvest and 9% after drying. The research method was carried out by the experimental method. Data were collected on soybean seeds with 2 levels of moisture content, namely the water content after threshing (14%) and after drying (9%). From the results of this study, the average length, width, and thickness of soybean seeds of the Anjasmoro variety were soybean seeds at 9% moisture content, respectively 7.54 mm, 6.21 mm, 5.04 mm, and at water content 14% respectively 7.70 mm, 6.22 mm, 5.07 mm, obtained an average weight of 100 soybean seeds 16.10 g. The average weight of 1000 soybean seeds is 161 g, the bulk angle of soybean seeds at 9% moisture content ranges (23.2 – 25.4) with the average value of soybean seeds at 9% moisture content and 14% moisture content ranging from ( 19.25º). The lowest bulk angle of soybean seeds was at 9% and 14% moisture content (20.03º – 18.05º) with an average value of soybean seeds 9% and 14% (18.58º – 20.09º) and the highest bulk angle of soybean seeds was at moisture content 9% and 14% (23.01º – 23.00º) the average value of soybean seeds 9% and 14% (21.29º – 21.08º). The average friction angle of soybean seeds at 9% moisture content (14.10º) and the average soybean seed at 14% moisture content (17.01º).
