Abstract

Abstract : This research aimed to know the improvement on students’ critical thinking skills and to know the difference of students’ learning outcomes between grade X MIA 5 that learned through guided inquiry learning model and grade X MIA 3 that learned through conventional method. This research was conducted from March until August 2017. This was an quasy experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was all students of grade X MIA of MAN 1 Pekanbaru. The sampling method used was simple random sampling consisted of 57 students, grade X MIA 5 was randomly assigned as an experimental class consisted of 28 students and grade X MIA 3 as the control class consisted of 29 students. The data collection instrument used in this research was multiple choice questions. Based on analyze of comprehension tests, of post-test showed that the mean percentage experiment class was 63,57 % and control class was 51,72 %. Furthermore N-Gain of critical thinking skill was 0,43 on experiment class and 0,06 on control class. Based on analyze of t-test, there was a significant improvement critical thinking skills students learning outcomes between students learned through guided inquiry learning model and those who only learned through conventional method. The result of descriptive analyze and inferential analyze application of guided inquiry learning model of impulse and momentum materials can improvement critical thinking skills at grade X MIA MAN 1 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Critical thinking skills, guided inquiry learning, momentum and impulse

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research was to develop a valid learning devices based on a model brain based learning on the matterial the temperature and changes in class VII SMP. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The data collection instruments used are the learning devices validation sheets. The learning devices validation sheets is given to 3 validators who are experts in the field for assessments on the learning devices validation sheets. The data analysis technique uses a quantitative descriptive analysis based on aspects on each learning device. Research indicates that the learning tools developed of RPP, LKPD, and cognitive learning test instruments were valid with an average validation value of 3.41 in the high category. Based on data analysis it can be concluded that the BBL model of learning tools is suitable for use in class VII Junior High School.Key Words: Learning Devices, Brain-Based Learning, Temperature and Change, Cognitive Learning Results

Abstract

Abstract: The materials learning physics in class XI senior high school is related to one of the topics on rotational dynamics and rigid-body balance which in fact still has obstacles. One of the problems is the limitations of the media and the lack of interest of students so that the material is generally difficult for students to understand. The use of media in the learning process can increase students' interest in learning, so it is expected to encourage a better learning process. This research aims to develop valid interactive learning media on rotational dynamics and rigid-body balance material using adobe flash applications. The type of research used is R&D (Research and Development). The development model in this research is the ADDIE Model. The learning media developed was validated by 3 experts in their fields as validators. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis, namely by calculating the average of each indicator used to determine the validity of the developed learning media. The results of media validation obtained very high categories so that media were obtained that were already valid. Thus the interactive learning media that has been developed using adobe flash on rotational dynamics and rigid-body balance material, is suitable for use as learning media in class XI senior high school.Key Words: Interactive Learning Media, Adobe Flash, Rotational Dynamics, Rigid-Body Balance

Abstract

Abstract: The ability to think creatively is one of the skills needed for individuals to face the era of the Industrial Revolution. The efforts made by researchers are conducting survey research. This research aims to analyze students' thinking skills and find out the differences in creative thinking abilities in science physics on the theme of the greenhouse effect between male and female junior high school students. This research is a research that uses a survey method. The data obtained from this research is the data given to students from the results of the answers to the instrument of creative thinking ability. The instruments used are arranged based on 4 aspects of creative thinking skills, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The results showed that the average value obtained from the creative thinking ability instrument in physics science on the theme of the greenhouse effect was quite creative and there was a significant difference between the creative thinking abilities of men and women.Keywords: Creative thinking ability, Science, Greenhouse Effect

Abstract

Abstract: Education is needed to create a characterable and intlligent generation who able to develop their potentials independently. The use of teaching materials in the form of LKPD on the learning process can realize the meaning of education. LKPD is demanded by 2013 Curriculum lesson charges comprehensif intelligence which contains spiritual, emotional-social, intellectual and skill intelligence. Comprehensive intelligence LKPD based on PBL model has been developed by previous researchers but has not been tested its effectiveness, so this study aims to describe the effectivity of LKPD and to know the difference of student learning result using LKPD with comprehensive intelligence and unemployed. This type of research was quasi experiment with Intact Group Comparison design which is consisting of two study classes, experiment class and control class. The population of this research was all students of grade 10th MIPA in SMA N 5 Pekanbaru academic year 2017/2018, where class 10th MIPA 6 (experiment class) and class X MIPA 2 (control class) as samples. The data were obtained in the form of competence value of spiritual, emotional-social, intellectual and skill. The instruments used in this study were syllabus, RPP, LKPD charged with comprehensive intelligent based on PBL model, spiritual and emotional-social observation sheets, skill performance sheets, and cognitive tests. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively for the four intelligences and analyzed inferentially only on intellectual intelligence by using hypothesis test on 5% significance level. The results of this study are 1) LKPD charged with comprehensive intelligence based on PBL model is effective for physics learning of grade 10th in SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru especially particle dynamics; 2) there is significant difference in student learning outcomes using LKPD charged with comprehensive intelligence based on PBL model with students who do not use the LKPD.Keywords : Comprehensive Intelligence, Competence, Student Worksheet, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

Abstract: The learning tools developed are the Conceptual Understanding Procedures model learning tools in improving the mastery of science and physics concepts on work and simple planes in class VIII Junior High School, consisting of Learning Plans and Student Worksheets. The purpose of this research is to produce a valid Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning device that is used to improve the mastery of the concepts of science and physics on work and simple planes in class VIII Junior High School. This research is expected to be a reference for making innovative learning tools and can be used as a basis in the teaching and learning process so that learning objectives can be achieved. This type of research is development research using the Hannafin and Peck (H&P) model.. This research is only limited to the development stage. The research instrument used was the Learning Plans and Student Worksheets validation assessment sheets which were used by the validator to assess learning tools. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis, by calculating the validity score of each indicator of the learning device. The results showed that the Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning device model was declared valid with an average RPP score of 3.25 in the very high category and the LKPD score of 3.30 in the very high category. mastery of students' concepts on work and simple planes. Abstract

Abstract : The aim of this research was to produce prototype a valid mathematical pendulum props based microcontroller and student worksheet so that can be used properly as physics learning media for senior high school on simple harmonic motion material. Research and development which was used as research method. In this research, the development just till the validation step of the learning media and student worksheet. The data was obtained from validation result by 3 lecturers and 3 teachers as validator the validation was conducted in two phases, first phase was improvement and the second was assessment. The aspects which were assessed were the functionality of the equipment which got 3.53 of average point (very high category), the learning substance was 3.44 (very high category), the rashness was 3.58 (very high category), the esthetic and construction was 3.58 (very high category) and the safetynes was 3.50 (very high category). The aspect which were assessed from student worksheet were the content accuartion which got 3.67 (very high category), the presentation prosperity was 3.58 (very high category), the language prosperity was 3.50 (very high category), and the display prosperity was 3.72 (very high category). By all, each indicator of assessment in every aspect ware declared as valid in very high category. It can be concluded that mathematical pendulum based microcontroller and student worksheet were valid based on validation by the validators so that can be used properly as physics learning media for senior high school on simple harmonic motion material. As a recommendation, mathematical pendulum props can be equipped for testing by displaying several other quantities and doing practicality test to school.Keywords : Mathematical pendulum props based microcontroller, student worksheet physics learning media.

Abstract

Abstract: The 21st century is a century filled with advances in information andcommunication technology. Therefore, science is also developing rapidly following thechanges that occur. The development of science and technology, especially in the field ofelectronics, which is supported by various features and applications, can become aninnovation in the manufacture of educational media. One of the innovations in developinglearning media is using the Video Scribe application. This research aims to produce a validlearning media and can be used in the teaching and learning process on Static Electricitymaterial in high school. This type of research uses the ADDIE model. The ADDIE modelconsists of five steps, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.However, in this research, the ADDIE model is only used until the development step. Thisresearch uses a validation sheet as a research instrument that is given to the validation teamwhich opens three validators who are experts in their fields. The results showed that thelearning media based on the Video Scribe application got an average validation score of 4.4which was included in the Valid validation criteria. Thus, learning media based on the VideoScribe application is suitable for use as a learning medium by teachers and this learningmedia can help students understand Electrical Statistics material in high school.Key word: Applications Video Scribe, Static Electricity, Learning Media, Learning Physics

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe the effect of using poster media on students’ learning motivation and to find out the differences in learning motivation between experimental class students and contol class students. The methode used in this research is quasi-experiment by using Nonquivalent Control Group Design. The subject in this research were seventh grade students of SMPN 4 Tambang which consisted of 60 students and were divided into two classes, they were experimental class and control class. The research instrument used was the ARCS motivation questionnaire. This research was implemented on odd semester 2021/2022. The data in this research are scores of learning motivation before and after applying poster learning media which was analyzed descriptively and inferentially. Descriptively, the data was analyzed by normalizing gain (N-gain) to see the increasing of learning motivation of students. Inferentially, the data was analyzed by using independent sample t-test to see the difference of student’s learning motivation. The result of this research showed that the increasing of students learning motivation at experimental class is in the middle category with N-gain 0,43. While the control class is in the low category with N-gain 0,27. Inferentially showed that there was a difference It can be concluded that there is a differences of a learning motivation between group using a poster learning media and the group without poster medi. So it can be conclude that the poster media is worth to be used in order to increas student’s learning motivation in class VII SMPN 4 Tamabang on temperature and heat material.Key Words: Poster Media, Learning Motivation, Temperature and Heat

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to analyze the need for developing teaching materials in the form of PBL-based physics e-modules that can assist students in training their understanding of concepts in particle dynamics material during learning. This type of research is descriptive research. In this research there were subjects consisting of 21 students in class XII MIPA 4 at SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru with various cognitive abilities from high, medium and low. The research data was obtained through observation, direct interviews and the distribution of positive response questionnaire links through the Google Form. The results of data collection explained that (1) the learning outcomes of physics subjects mostly did not reach the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) determined by the school, (2) there were obstacles experienced by students in achieving scores above the KKM including limited physics books, difficult to remember physics formulas, and many assignments other than physics subjects, (3) the learning media used is only in digital form not online (pdf) and digital online (google form), (4) students need easy online physics-based learning media understood and interesting so that it is more excited. The results of the needs analysis show that an online-based physics learning media needs to be developed in the form of a PBL-based physics e-module to train students' conceptual understanding of particle dynamics material at the SMA/MA equivalent level.Keywords: Requirements Analysis, E-Module, PBL, Concept Understanding.
