Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is some students do not reach minimum mastery criteria yet and learning process is not accordance with the regulation of the minister of national education. This research aims to improve learning process and mathematics learning outcomes in SMPN 21 Pekanbaru by implementing Think Talk Write strategy in cooperative learning model. Subject in this research were students in class VII.3 who have heterogeneous academic ability. This research is a classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle has four stages, the stages are planning, action, observation and reflection. The result of this research showed that the teacher and students activities have done well after given the action. An increase in the number of students who achieved the minimum mastery criteria of first cycle (47,5%) and second cycle (57,5%) compared to the number of students who achieve the minimum mastery criteria on base score (17,5%). Results of this research indicate that the application of Think Talk Write strategy in cooperative learning model can improve learning process and the mathematics learning outcomes of students grade VII.3 SMPN 21 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic year 2013/2014.Key words: Learning process, Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative learning, Think Talk Write Strategy, Classroom action research

Abstract

Abstract:This research is a class action research which aimedto improve learning process and increase the mathematicslearning outcomesby implying Problem Based Learning model. The subjects of this research wereVII-4grade student’s of SMPNegeri21Pekanbaru in the academic year 2019/2020. The total number of participants were40students, consisting of 18male students and 22 female students with heterogeneous academic achievement. This research tooktwo cycles,in which each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each cycles endedwithdaily examination. The data collected by observation and test. The datawereanalyzedby narative descriptiveand statistical descriptive.The data wereobtained fromthe observation sheetsshows that teacher and studentsactivitieswereimprovedafter the modelimplemented. From the data of studentsevaluation test, shows that the percentage of students who passed minimal mastery learningincreased from the basic score before action (10%)to at the first test (27,5%).Students learning outcomes also increased from the first testto the second test(55%).Based on the explanation above the implementation ofProblem BasedLearning model couldimprove the learning process and increasethemathematicslearning otcomesfrom students of grade VII-4SMP Negeri 21Pekanbaruon odd semester of 2019/2020ofthe subject matter algebraic form.KeyWords:MathematicsLearning Achievement, Problem Based LearningModel,ClassroomActionResearch.

Abstract

Abstract : The research background is the importance of mathematics learning instrument as mathematics lesson plans which is arranged by the teacher as a professional worker in order to achieve mathematics learning goals. The available of mathematics learning instrument is limited, and does not refer to 2013’s Curriculum yet. This research is aimed to develop the mathematics learning instrument: syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets using the discovery learning model on ratio trigonometry subject for 10th grade students of SMA/ MA that is categorized as valid and the student worksheets is categorized as practical. This research used Research and Development (R&D) model with ADDIE procedure; analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Due to time and cost barriers, this research was only done until the development stage.  The research instruments that used in this research were learning instrument validation sheets and student response questionnaires. Syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets are validated by three validators and revised according to the validator’s suggestions, and then the student worksheets is tested on nine students of Class X MIA 6 of SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. According to the result of validation data analysis of syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets, those were categorized as very valid with the average score for syllabus was 3.80, for lesson plans was 3.82, and student worksheets was 3.70. According to the result of student response questionnaires toward the student worksheets practicality on a limited trials, the student worksheets were categorized as very practical with a percentage of 89.19%. According to the result of data analysis and the discussion, it can be concluded that the syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets using the discovery learning model on ratio trigonometry subject were very valid, and the student worksheests were very practical and feasible to be used by 10th grade students of SMA/ MA. Key Words: Discovery Learning Model, Mathematics Learning Instrument, Ratio Trigonometry, Validity and Practicality.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes mathematics of the fourth-c grade students of SDN 30 Duri Barat Kecamatan Mandau by implementing cooperative learning type TSTS. The subjects were students of class fourth-c grade whom have heterogeneous academic ability. This research is a class act with two cycles. Each cycle has three times and one UH in every end cycle and has four stages, the stages are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the research show the observation sheet activities of teacher and students have done after the action. The increasing  number of students who achieve at UH KKM in the end of every cycle compared to the number of students who achieve a score a KKM on basic score. This results of this study indicate that the application of cooperatif learning type TSTS can improve the process learning and improve the learning outcomes of the fourth-c grade students of SDN 30 Duri Barat Kecamatan Mandau in the odd semester academic year 2013/2014. Key words : Learning process, Mathematic learning outcomes, Cooperative learning, TSTS, Classroom action research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to develop computer-based mathematics learning media model are valid to help students to understand the topic of relation and function.. This research and development use development model by Borg and Gall modified by Sugiyono. The steps of this research and development are find the potentials and problems that must to do analyzed first. And then, find the informations by study of literature. Product design is through two stages, that are make paper based design first and then computer based. The programs that used for product design of computer based are program frontpage, microsoft power point and photoshop. Learning media is validated by three experts or validators and further revised based on the input from validators. The revised learning media is tested on two stages, that are a small group consist of five students of class VII and a large group consist of forty students from SMPN II Raudhatur Rahmah Pekanbaru. Based on the analysis of data and discussion can be concluded that computer-based learning media is already valid with an average value of 3.7 validator. This computer-based mathematics learning media is also already qualified practicalities with an average of 0,96 on a small test group and 0,97 in the large group test.Key Words : Computer-based Learning Media, Development, Relation and Function
