Abstract

Abstract: This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the outcomes of mathematics learning of the students by applying Problem Based Learning (PBL). The subjects of this research are the students of class VII.7 SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru at the second semester of academic years 2017/2018 which total number of participants are 25 students, consists of 18 male students and 7 female students with heterogeneous academic achievements. This research has two cycles. Each of them has four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data collecting instruments consist observation sheet (learning process) andthe students' worksheet. Learning device used in this research consists of Syllabus, Lesson plan, and Student work sheet. The data were analized by narrative descriptive and statistical descriptive analysis. The data were obtained from the observation sheets of teacher and students activities that showed the learning process has improved after the model being implemented. From the data of the student’s evaluation test, it showed that the number of students who reach the standard category (range score 75-85), good (range score 86-96), and very good (range score 97-100) with Minimal Score of Criteria is 75, increased from the basic score to the Quiz I, from Quiz I to Quiz II. In conclusion, the implementation of Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning process and increase the outcomes of mathematics learning of the students of grade VII.7 SMP in Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru on the second semester in academic years 2017/2018 on rectangular and triangular materials.Key Words: The outcomes of mathematics learning, Problem Based Learning,class action research.

Abstract

This research aims to produce interactive computer based learning media for transformation topic on to be used students of class XI Senior High School. This research uses a development model by Borg and Gall that has been modified by Sugiyono. The research steps starting by information collection formulated in needs analysis. Next step is the design of product storyboard in the form of paper based and followed by computer based design. At this stage of computer-based product was designed by using Microsoft Power Point application, Adobe Photoshop application and Front Page application. Learning media is further validated by the experts which then revised based on feedback and suggestions from the the experts. Learning media that have been validated and revised were tested through small group trials and large group trials on students of MAN 1 Pekanbaru. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion can be concluded that computer based learning media interactive multimedia model for transformation topic is considered valid (3.52) and had good practicality (3.71). This application is recommended to be used by teachers for teaching Transformation topics at Senior High School if the school provided computer facilities for their learning.

Abstract

Researchers are keen to develop interactive multimedia of web-based learning for topics advance isometry on courses of geometry transformation. Development of interactive multimedia learning using Microsoft Power Point, Adobe Reader, paint, and mobirise.net. Products that can be generated in this research are interactive multimedia to Students who follow courses of geometry transformations. The specifications of products packaged in Compact Disk (CD). Instruments for data collection form validation sheets about Learning Media and questionnaire for students. The results of the analysis of interactive multimedia learning validation shows very valid. The results of the analysis of responses shows that the practicalities of students well categorized. Aspects category to see a very good, well categorized presentation of the material aspects, and aspects of the program is very good category. The results of data analysis questionnaire for students found that the use of interactive multimedia web-based learning has been eligible practicalities so that it can be used in learning. Display interactive multimedia learning with animations very attractive, making the students easily understand the learning materials. In this development research, producing instructional CD which can then be used researchers to examine other aspects of learning and research.

Abstract

This researchaimed to developmathematics learningdevice that are Lesson Plan (LP) and Students Worksheet (SW) based curriculum 2013 on subjectquadrilateralthrough problem based learning. This research use development model by Borg and Gall.Development is done through the following steps: (1) research and information collecting; (2) planning; (3) develop of product: (4) preliminary field testing; (5) revision; (6) main field testing; and (7) revision. Researcher conducted a needs analysis, then collect the necessary materials to designlearning device. Learning device that had been developed then validated by three validators and revised based on the input from validators. The valid learning device then tested in two stages, the small group trial with subjects are eight students and large group trial with subjects are 29 students. Based on the data analysis obtained that the mathematics learning device are valid with average for LP 3,79 and 3,82 for SW and practical to use by learners.

Abstract

Abstract: Data daily test results of students of class VII SMPIT Future Islamic School Pekanbaru provide information that the percentage of learners who reach the criteria masses of minimum is still low. This Study aims to improve the learning process and the student’s outcomes of mathematic learning by applying problem based learning model. This classroom action research with two cycles was conducted in class VII SMPIT Future Islamic School Pekanbaru in the second semester of academic year 2017/2018 to 20 students. The required data are qualitative and quantitative data. The research instruments used are mathematical learning instruments (syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets) and instruments for collecting data (cbservation sheets and outcomes of mathematic learning tests). Qualitative data were collected by observation technique and analyzed by descriptive narrative analysis. Quantitative data were collected by test technique and analyzed by descriptive statistics analysis. Based on the analysis of the observation sheets showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle I. The percentage of learners who achieved the minimum mastery criteria is increase. Frequency of learners who achieve the minimum completeness criteria increasingly. The average mathematics learning outcomes of the students showed an increase. This study concludes is implementation of problem based learning improved the learning process and the student’s outcomes of mathematic learning at class VII SMPIT Future Islamic School Pekanbaru in the second semester of academic year 2017/2018.Key Words: problem based learning, outcomes of mathematic learning, learning process

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning process and improve mathematics learning outcomes by applying the Problem Based Learning model. This research consists of two cycles, each of which consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. At the end of each cycle Quizzes are carried out. The data needed are data on teacher and student activities collected by observation techniques and analyzed by descriptive narrative and mathematics learning outcomes data collected by tests and analyzed by descriptive statistics. Students are seen as actively participating and increasingly independent in the learning process carried out, such as in solving mathematical problems given, presenting the results of problem solving and providing learning conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of the learning process in the second cycle had improved from the implementation of the cycle I. Weaknesses in the first cycle were improved in the implementation of the second cycle according to the improvement plan after reflection cycle I. The number of students who achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) increased from basic scores until Quiz I and II. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning process and improve mathematics learning outcomes of students in class VII_4 SMP Negeri 14 Pekanbaru in the odd semester of the school year 2018/2019.Key Words: Mathematics Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

This research has two cycles. Each of them has four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data collecting instruments consist observation sheet (learning process) andthe students' worksheet. Learning device used in this research consists of Syllabus, Lesson plan, and Student work sheet. The data were analized by narrative descriptive and statistical descriptive analysis. The data were obtained from the observation sheets of teacher and students activities that showed the learning process has improved after the model being implemented. From the data of the student’s evaluation test, it showed that the number of students who reach the standard category (range score 75-83), good (range score 84-92), and very good (range score 93-100) with Minimal Score of Criteria is 75, increased from the basic score to the Quiz I, from Quiz I to Quiz II. In conclusion, the implementation of Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning process and increase the outcomes of mathematics learning of the students of grade VIII2 SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru on the first semester in academic years 2018/2019 on system of two variable linear equations.Key Words: The outcomes of Mathematics Learning, Problem Based Learning, Class action research.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to fix process and improve the student’s mathematics learning outcomes in class VII5 SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru by using Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in 2017/2018 academic year at Aljabar form material. This research is a colaborative action class research where the researcher and the teacher of matematics in class VII5 SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru were colaborated in planning, doing action, doing observation, and reflecting. The sample of this research is 16 female students of class VII5 SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru with heterogen intelligent. The instrument of data collection in this research consist of observation sheet and assessment sheet. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of observation techniques and test results of mathematics learning techniques. The analysis technique used is descriptive descriptive data analysis technique and descriptive statistical data analysis. Data obtained from the observation sheet is qualitative data and analyzed by descriptive quantitative analysis technique. Data obtained from the learning result test were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis technique. The result of data analysis show teacher’s and student’s activity have been done very well in cycle II and weakness/deficiency that happened less from cycle I to cycle II. Implementation of PBL model enables students to observe and understand problems and can collect information related to problems given by teachers. The students 'mathematics learning outcomes also increased in UH I and UH II seen from the achievement of students' knowledge and skills and frequency distribution analysis. The results of this analysis indicate that the application of PBL model can improve the learning process and improve students' mathematics learning outcomes of students of grade VII5 SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru in 2017/2018 academic year at Aljabar form material.Key Words : Problem based learning model, mathematics learning outcomes

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is to improve the students achivement of math at class VII B2 MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru through apply of cooperative learning model struktural approach of Numbered Heads Together. This research is classroom action research with two cycles including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The success of the action is marked by improved of the learning process and increase of achievement. Improvement of the learning process can be seen from the reflection of observations result and increased of achievement marked by value of student's individual progress and reaching of KKM score. The results of research showed activity of teacher and students improved after doing an action. Number of students who reach a score of KKM on UH in the end of each cycle increase compared to the number of students who reach a score of KKM on base score and the number of students who get value of individual progress 20 and 30 more than the number of students who get value of individual progress 5 and 10 also increased an average value of student achievement from base score. The results of this research show that apply of cooperative learning model structural approach of NHT make a change in the learning process and increased students achivement of math at class VII B2 MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. Based on these results, apply of cooperative learning model structural approach of NHT can improve students achivement of math.Key words: numbered heads together, cooperative learning, achievement

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a class action research. This research aims to improve the learning process and improve learning result in mathematics in grade X MIA 4 of SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru by applying the Discovery Learning model. The subject of this research were the students in the class X MIA 4 of SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru that consist of 19 boys and 21 girls at the second semester of academic year 2016/2017. Implementation of the learning process before held action, there is a problem of learning that is still focused on the teacher so that students can not find the concept of learning. To solve this problem requires a learning model where students can actively discover teir own learning concepts. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in desciptive narative, while the students’ mathematic tests were analyzed in statistic desciptive. The descriptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycles and improve the students’ achievement of learning mathematic in grade X MIA 4 of SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2016/2017.Keywords : Students’ Math Achievement, Discovery Learning Model, Clasroom Action Research.
