Abstract

Community service program (PKM) for packaging innovation of local product fermentation of Kania Diary Farmers Group in Tajur Halang Village, Cijeruk Subdistrict, Bogor Regency has been conducted. It was held from April to Juli 2019. It aimed to empower Kania Diary Farmers Group in innovating milk fermentation product, introducing nutrition fact of es mambo kefir, and introducing well-packaged product. Its method were literature studied for an interesting packaging, field obeservation, kefir mambo ice production, nutrition analysed using proximat analysis, explanation about nutrition facts, implementation well-packaging, and discussion between instructors and Kania Group. After analysing the kefir mambo ice, it yielded 35 cal for 50 g/serving. It also contained 1 g protein, 1.5 g fat, and 1 g carbohydrate for 35 g/serving. All the nutrition containing in kefir mambo ice is good for a healthy body. Kania group members looked so enthusiasm and excited during the training. Hopefully, through this training, Kania group will develop better pacakaging for every single of its product.

Abstract

Research on the condition of the nesting habitat of Chelonia mydas (green turtle) in Pangumbahan Beach, Ujung Genteng, South Sukabumi has been carried out. Data retrieval is done 6 times for 2 days, 27-28 November 2017 at 3 observation stations. The abiotic parameters measured include surface temperature and depth of 50 cm, surface humidity and depth of 50 cm, beach width, beach slope, and the size of sand grains. While the biotic parameters measured were density, relative density, the frequency of attendance, and distribution patterns of Pandanus tectorius (sea pandanus) vegetation. Based on the results of data processing, the biophysical conditions in Pangumbahan Beach are still suitable for the Chelonia mydas nesting habitat. It also got clear evidence of the many Chelonia mydas landings during the data collection.

Abstract

Limited information about Mollusks in Menganti Beach, Central Java has been a strong basis for researching its diversity. This study aimed to determine the mollusks' diversity in Menganti Beach, Kebumen. The research was conducted from April to May 2020, using a survey method and purposive sampling technique. Sampling was undertaken at three stations with the belt transect method. The results revealed 37 species with 1767 individuals from the Class Bivalvia, Gastropods, and Polyplacophora. Based on the diversity index value H '= 3.3, station 1 with the rocky sand substrate is the best for mollusks' habitat. The H' value at station 1 shows the highest diversity that the base substrate is dominated by sand and rocks, which are very supportive of mollusks. It is supported by the evenness value (E), which indicates evenly distributed species, and dominance value (D), which does not indicate a species' dominance. The a-biotic parameters at the three stations obtained an average morning temperature of 29 oC and 30 oC in the afternoon, pH of 7, and a salinity of 30 ‰ so that these values support the Mollusk habitat at Menganti Beach, Kebumen. Keywords:MolluskDiversityIntertidal ZonesCoastal

Abstract

Parameter kimia pengukuran pH dan DO.

Abstract

Mutun Coastal has a diversity of biota species. Biota that are commonly found include the mollusk phylum (Bivalve and Gastropod classes). The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of mollusks (Bivalves and Gastropods) on Mutun Coastal Lampung. This research was conducted on February 5-7, 2021. The method of data retrieval at both stations used the belt transect method by purposive sampling. Station I is substrated fine sand, while station II is substrated by coarse sand. Based on the research conducted, 26 individuals were found consisting of 7 families, namely 6 families of the Gastropod class (Trochidae, Strombidae, Cerithiidae, Muricidae, Potamididae and Pisaniidae) and 1 family of the Bivalve class, namely the family Mactridae. The value (H') at station I is 1.44.  At station II it has an H' value of 0.86. The value of H' at station I belongs to the medium category. The H' value at station II belongs to the low category. The value of E at station I is 0.72. While at station II it has a value of 0.1. The evenness value at station I belongs to the high category. The value (E) at station II of the evenness index belongs to the low category. The value (D) at station I is 0.57. While at station II it has a value of 0.35. The value of D at station I belongs to the medium category. The value of D at station II belongs to the medium category. Based on data analysis, Mutun Coastal has suitable habitat for mollusk and it is also supported by abiotic parameter conditions.

Abstract

Research on the diversity of echinoderms at Drini Beach, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta has been conducted from December 2020 to July 2021. This study aimed to determine the Echinoderm diversity index. The method sampling technique used belt transect with determination by purposive sampling with three stations in the intertidal zone based on substrate variations. Station 1 had coral substrate type, station 2 had seagrass substrate type, and sand substrate type for station 3. The sample in this study was the species of Echinoderms found in the station area. After sampling, it obtained 7 species of Echinoderms consisting of 3 classes, classified into 4 orders, and 6 families. The diversity index at all stations is low, followed by a low evenness value and a high dominance value. The species Ophiocoma erinaceus was dominant at stations one and two, while the species Tripneustes gratilla was dominant at stations three. Moreover, the most common habitat for echinoderms is This is due to the availability of abundant food, laying places for echinoderms, and shelter to avoid predators. In addition, it is also supported by temperature, pH, salinity, strong currents, and a good depth for Echinoderm habitat

The population in this study was all species of Echinoderms found in the intertidal zone. The sample in this study was the species of Echinoderms found in the area of the station. Based on the result, the study obtained 8 species of Echinoderms, consisted of 3 classesand classified into 5 orders, 5 families, and 6 genera. The diversity index is classified as low with the average value of 0.62. The evenness index is classified as low with the average value of 0.37. The dominance index is classified as moderate with the average value of 0.67. Keywords: diversity, echinoderms, cibuaya beach, Ophiuroidea, Echinoidea, Holothuroidea.
