Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan proses sistematis dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas kehidupan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan merupakan tuntutan yang harus dilakukan oleh setiap warga Negara. Pada pembukaan Undang-Undang Dasar Republik Indonesia tahun 1945, tujuan pendidikan secara eksplisit dicantumkan sebagai upaya mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Oleh karena itu, dalam skala nasional pendidikan berada dalam posisi yang sangat startegis. Pada beberapa daerah seringkali ditemukan kasus rendahnya melek aksara masyarakat yang berdampak terhadap rendahnya kualitas hidup mereka, sebagai akibat tidak terlayaninya pendidikan keakasaran bagi seluruh lapisan masyarakat. Umumnya masyarakat yang tidak melek aksara menghadapi banyak kendala dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidup termasuk kegiatan ekonomi keluarga akibat keterbatasan dalam keaksaraan. Walupun dampak negatif dari ketidakmelekan masyarakat tentang keaksaraan telah mereka rasakan namun kebutuhan akan pentingnya keaksaraan yang dipelajarinya secara khusus belum menjadi prioritas, sehingga ada asumsi bahwa kegiatan keaksaraan perlu dipadukan dengan aktifi tas peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat. Namun demikian, berdasarkan hasil observasi pada bebrapa daerah terpencil, mengintegrasikan kegiatan pemberantasan buta huruf dengan kegiatan produktifi tas ekonomi masyarakat mengalami kelemahannya yakni masih sangat tidak proposional, artinya bahwa kemampuan calistungdasi (membaca, menulis, berhitung, berdiskusi, dan aksi) masih sangat dominan daripada porsi penumbuhan kecakapan personal, kecakapan sosial, maupun kecakapan vokasional, dan sifatnya pun masih sangat sektoral. Berdasarkan alur pemikiran di atas, program pendidikan keaksaraan perlu mendapat perhatian dan pengkajian secara komprehenship baik pada aspek pengelolaan penyelenggaraan program keaksaraan, maupun orientasi pendidikan keaksaraan yang mengantarkan pada suatu kemampuan keterampilan tertentu sehingga memiliki kualitas hidup yang lebih baik.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Non-Formal Education (NFE) in enhancing life skills among early childhood. The background is based on the importance of developing life skills as essential preparation for children to face future life challenges, while the formal education system has not been able to optimally meet these needs. The research method used is a literature review, involving the collection and analysis of various relevant sources such as books, journals, papers, and official documents. The findings indicate that NFE significantly contributes to the development of practical, social, emotional, and cognitive aspects of children through innovative learning approaches, hands-on experiences, and participatory methods. Through flexible and contextual programs and activities, NFE complements the strengths of formal education and supports the holistic growth and development of children. Therefore, collaboration among various stakeholders, including the government, educational institutions, families, and communities, is necessary to optimize the role of NFE in fostering life skills in early childhood. Thus, NFE can serve as an effective alternative in supporting character education and preparing children for a dynamic future.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a brief explanation of the important points in the study of Islamic epistemology, particularly its characteristics that unite revelation and reason, as well as its role in the process of Islamization of science and in facing the crisis of knowledge in modern times. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, and the data is analyzed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that Islamic epistemology is a perspective that combines revelation, reason, intuition, and experience as complementary sources of knowledge. Based on the belief in the oneness of Allah (tauhid), this system emphasizes not only logic and experience but also spiritual values and ethics. The primary purpose of knowledge in Islam is to draw closer to Allah, understand the meaning of life, and build a moral civilization. With the support of classical and modern Islamic thinkers, Islamic epistemology serves as a crucial foundation for reimagining the secular perspective of modern science. In the context of the current crisis of values and knowledge, Islamic epistemology offers a solution that unites science and values for the benefit of humanity and the will of God.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine in depth the importance of integrating philosophy of science and religious values in shaping the character of Generation Z in the digital age. Amidst the flood of information, technological penetration, and secularization trends, Generation Z faces complex challenges that threaten the balance between their intellectual and spiritual aspects. Philosophy of science contributes to the formation of critical and reflective thinking patterns, while religion provides a moral foundation, meaning of life, and strong spiritual orientation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method, analyzing various scientific sources to formulate a conceptual framework that synergizes the two approaches. The results of the study indicate that the integration of philosophy of science and religion can produce a generation that is not only academically excellent but also ethically and religiously mature. The implementation strategy for this synergy includes the development of an integrative curriculum, values-based character building, interdisciplinary educator training, and the use of digital media for the dissemination of educational values. With this approach, the educational paradigm can shift from merely transmitting knowledge to forming a holistic and transformative character.
