Abstract

This article discusses two opposing views in regard to Islamic teaching; whether it should be seen as a static entity or as a dynamic one and each option has its own implication. Being seen as a static entity, Islamic teachings cannot be put on the table of criticism, because it is supposed to be perfect, correct, and its validity goes beyond time and space. In this position, Islamic teaching that is taught in Islamic education institutions is delivered in non dialogical way, assuming that it is doctrine, not knowledge. The author argues that such view would possibly make Islamic teachings become “normal science” that loose their relevances to contemporary human life. In fact, what is considered as Islamic teachings cannot be separated from human intervention since parts of them are formulated by classical Muslim scholars. For this reason, it is necessary to liberate Islamic teachings from narrow-minded perspective and interpretation, as suggested by the proponents of Liberal Islam. Islam should be interpreted in open-mind perspective so that it is possible to bear many different interpretations based on interpreters’ social and academic backgrounds. Achmad Dachlan is one of Muslim scholars who tried to take the essence of Islamic teachings. He argued that one of the main purposes and substantial point of Islamic teachings are the ethical kindness and human happiness. Dachlan’s concern with the marginalized and disfranchised people is based on his view on human ethics and it serves as the foundation of a movement to empower marginalized people.

Abstract

This paper analyzes local knowledge as a source for the reconstruction of the religious character of the younger generation. These are due every culture and traditions have a mechanism to deliver the messages of its local knowledge. One medium that is able to convey the message of local wisdom oral tradition and serat. Local culture and tradition are medium to reconstruct awareness about what people believed in god. Much more local knowledge can be developed for educational materials in the form of the value of local wisdom that can be searched. Some idioms describe local wisdom are ojo dumeh, malati, ora ilok, besok ono jaman naliko pasar ilang kumandange, sepur biso mabur. However at this time there are problems, the values ​​of ethics (manners) and predictive technologies that regardless of educational practice and moral education or technology education. Therefore, the integration of local knowledge needs to be done through education, formal, non-formal, and informal. Thus, local knowledge transmission medium capable of developing into a culture that is able to meet the challenges of the times in accordance with human nature as religious beings. Keywords: local wisdom, oral culture, serat, character. Tulisan ini bertujuan menganalisis kearifan lokal sebagai sumber rekontruksi karakter religius bagi generasi muda. Ini disebabakn tiap kebudayaan dan tradisi memiliki mekanisme untuk menyampaikan pesan-pesan kearifan lokal yang dimilikinya. Salah satu media yang mampu menyampaikan pesan kearifan lokal adalah dalam tradisi tutur dan serat.  Budaya dan tradisi lokal amat kaya merekonstruksi kesadaran tentang apa yang diyakini masyarakat sebagai Tuhan atau disebut Tuhan. Banyak lagi kearifan lokal yang bisa dikembangkan bagi materi pendidikan nilai berupa hikmah lokal yang bisa dicari. Beberapa kata hikmah lokal seperti; ojo dumeh, malati, ora ilok, besok ono jaman naliko pasar ilang kumandange, sepur biso mabur. Namun saat ini terjadi masalah, nilai-nilai etik (sopan-santun) dan prediksi teknologi itu terlepas dari praktik pendidikan dan pendidikan moral atau pendidikan teknologi. Oleh karena itu, integrasi kearifan lokal perlu dilakukan melalui pendidikan, baik formal, nonformal, maupun informal. Dengan demikian, kearifan lokal mampu berkembang menjadi media transmisi budaya yang mampu menjawab tantangan zaman sesuai dengan kodrat manusia sebagai makhluk religius.  Kata kunci: kearifan lokal, tutur, serat, karakter

Abstract

One of the reasons why philosophy has been isolated from the public and daily life is that philosophical knowledge supporters tend to be unsophisticated in involving their self to the various problem of daily life discussion, even in the local, national, or global world level. It is in this isolation, the discussion topic of this paper has its meaning as a “sociology of philosophy” which supposes that the practical life is connected with the philosophical theses or just the opposite. We will analyze two problems of this topic; first, the system and model of learning the area of philosophical studies, and second, how to represent Pancasila as a part of citizen’s life which has function in conducting the stride of daily and political life in this country.

Similar to other graduates of the Faculty of Islamic Education and Teaching, those graduated from the Islamic Education Management study program are also educators,prophetic super-leader based on cognizance intelligence (ma’rifat)- which is an empiricalform of the sense of God presence when the God Spot – an analysis by Zohar andMarshall- works. Prophetic super-leaders are professional managers encouraging learningmotivation and organizing education in more civilized way within national framework.Whereas, the Islamic Education Management learning process is based on the IslamicEducation Management Technique and built upon Islamic Education ManagementScience, that is derived from the Islamic Education Management Philosophy.Meanwhile, this philosophical aspect is rooted on the philosophy of Tarbiya which infact is an applied Islamic philosophy. Therefore, the Faculty of Islamic Education andTeaching urgently needs to arrange Tarbiya philosophy as vision accomplishment of being“Excellent and Outstanding in Integrating and Developing Islamic Education andScience for Civilization” since the Tarbiya philosophy and its derivation are foundationof the mission implementation of “Developing Education Based on Islamic, Sciencetific,Tehcnological, Art, and Indonesian context.” Without such an independent theory, thepractice of Islamic Education will only be a kind of follower instead of leader or superleader. At least, there shuld be an obvious statement that the adopted theory is notagainst the concept of Ma’rifah in Islam.

Abstract

Olobilly, an Islanuc modernization succeeded to liberate the moslem countries from colonialism, but defeated to improve the social, science, and technology pouch of an Islamic thought. The development of an ideological basis within the absence of an intellectual costume caused these countries trapped in a secular traditions of social, science and technology. Islam was, the writer said, snared between two high culture that had been not dependent on the dichotomy yet. Besides, this article talked the modem social, science and technology theory presumably failed to establish the human civilization. What do the moslem intellectual elite and Islamic universities must do? This following discussion will focus on it.

Abstract

Perkembangan kehidupan masyarakat di era revolusi teknologi 4.0, membuat lembaga ekonomi dan sosial banyak yang mengalami kebangkrutan ditinggalkan warga. Nasib serupa suatu saat bisa saja dialami Muhammadiyah di masa depan. Di saat demikian itulah perkembangan Muhammadiyah dengan pengalaman aktivis gerakan berdialog dengan tradisi lokal di desa Kerto Yogyakarta, Plompong Brebers, Wuluhan Jember, Sendang Ayu Lampung, Jatinom Klaten Jawa Tengah, menarik untuk dikembangkan sebagai model dan pola dialog kreatif dan kritis semacam “ijtihad” lokal menjawab pertanyaan tentang peran dan fungsi Muhammadiyah dalam kehidupan masyarakat yang sedang berubah. Masa depan gerakan ini banyak ditentukan oleh kemampuan memaknai ulang jargon kembali kepada Al-Qur’an dan Sunnah secara kreatif dan substantif agar tidak terjebak pada pemaknaan harfiah yang kaku dan beku. Karena itu harmonisasi tradisi lokal dengan fatwa tarjih melalui media dialog kritis dan kreatif menjadi agenda masa depan yang perlu menjadi fokus perhatian para aktivis gerakan ini untuk memelihara elan-vital gerakan pembaruan sosial-budaya di era abad kedua sejarahnya.

Abstract

One’s faith and personality are produced during his life experience in dialogue with himself, dialogue with the nature, and dialogue with the socio-cultural environment in which he lives, grows and develops. Meanwhile, education is a planned, programmed attempt to engineer this experience of life to obtain maximum results for the future life. Education is necessarily comprehensive and synthetic. The loss of an element in education can be the cause of personality imbalances as is now the case in the reality of life in this country: motorcycle gangs, brawls between villages, corruption, and accusing of one another as infidel. Therefore, education process must be humanist or ngewongke and that being virtuous is the endless process of becoming.[Keimanan atau kebertuhanan dan kepribadian seseorang adalah produk pengalaman hidupnya dalam berdialog dengan dirinya sendiri, berdialog dengan alam, dan berdialog dengan lingkungan sosial-budaya tempat ia hidup, tumbuh dan berkembang. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of KH Ahmad Dahlan's leadership values in contemporary Muhammadiyah speeches using corpus linguistic analysis. The data analyzed consisted of a corpus from KH Ahmad Dahlan's leadership texts and transcriptions of contemporary Muhammadiyah leaders' speeches. Corpus linguistic analysis was employed as the analytical method, supported by Python programming language on Google Colab utilizing several libraries such as the Natural Language Toolkit (nltk) and Sastrawi. The word frequency analysis revealed that in KH Ahmad Dahlan's text corpus, the words "orang" (n=156), "islam" (n=151), and "agama" (n=70) dominated, reflecting a focus on education and character development. In contrast, contemporary Muhammadiyah speeches highlighted words like "indonesia" (n=174), "bangsa" (n=108), and "negara" (n=101), indicating a shift towards nationalism and statehood issues. Trigram collocation analysis using Pointwise Mutual Information (PMI) further supports these findings. For example, the phrase "islam ajar amal" (PMI: 4.85) in KH Ahmad Dahlan's era shifted to "islam dinul haqq" (PMI: 4.98) in the contemporary era. Additionally, the collocation "bangsa satu umat" (PMI: 4.12) transitioned to "bangsa merdeka adil" (PMI: 4.98), reflecting the strengthening of nationalistic narratives. These findings demonstrate that Muhammadiyah has successfully adapted KH Ahmad Dahlan's core values to remain relevant amid current social and global challenges.
