Abstract

The purpose of this research is to revitalize Tari Buku from Nias Utara area which is almost extinct and to re-present it as a performance and its development in the Muslim community in Lahewa Nias Utara. From this revitalization process emerged the development results in the form of history, functions, make-up and clothing for Tari Buku and the local culture of Nias Utara. The method used is the R&D methodology. The location of this research was conducted in Lahewa sub-district, North Nias district. Data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data that has been collected, and then analyzed using a qualitative paradigm with a project based research method, which is obtained through data reduction, data testing and drawing conclusions. The data validity test used the source triangulation model and the triangulation technique. The results of the development are used in learning the Nias dance technique subject to Dance Education students at Universitas Negeri Medan.

Abstract

 Tujuan dari penelitan ini yaitu mengeksplor kembali tari tradisi Mahanggu yang mengarah pada sebuah produk property yaitu Rapai dari daerah Nias Utara. Dari proses ekplorasi tersebut kemudian muncul hasil pengembangan disain Rapai sebagai property tari dari budaya lokal Nias Sumatera Utara. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan jenis metode penelitian dan pengamatan ( Research And Development atau R&D). Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan dikota Medan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan melakukan observasi (pengamatan), wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul kemudian akan dianalisis melalui paradigma kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode Project Based Reasearch, yang didapatkan dari reduksi data, penyajian dan menarik sebuah kesimpulan. Untuk mencari validitas (keabsahan) dari data yang didapatkan, akan dilakukan dengan model triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil pengembangan property tari ini dapat digunakan untuk pertunjukan tari Mahanggu pada event-event lokal, nasional maupun internasional.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an encyclopedia on the concept of traditional dances from Nias ethnic groups in North Sumatra as a source of learning in the process of creating. This research is directed at a reference book product in the form of an encyclopedia. From this research process, the results of the development of a reference book for the local traditional dance of Nias, North Sumatra emerged. This research uses research and development (Research and Development or R&D) methods. The location or place in this study was carried out in the cities of Medan and Nias with data collection techniques obtained through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. After all the required data have been completed, the next step is to analyze the data using a qualitative paradigm using project based research, which is obtained through data reduction,The average value obtained during the material expert feasibility test was 4.75 with a very good category and no revision. The average value obtained at the time of this media feasibility test was 4.375 with a very good category.The results of the development of this Nias traditional dance encyclopedia book can be used as a reference for students and the community as a source of the creative process for Nias traditional dances.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan adanya perbedaan bentuk penyajian pada Tari Serampang XII yang sudah berkembang di Deli Serdang dengan Tari Serampang XII versi Manuskrip. Penulis menggunakan landasan teoritis Sugiyono (2014:54) dan teori M.Zajuli (1994:9) agar dapat menjelaskan serta menguatkan judul yang terkait dengan Studi Komparatif Bentuk Penyajian Tari Serampang XII yang berkembang Di Deli Serdang dengan Tari Serampang XII Versi Manuskrip dan mengguakan teori studi komparatif dan teori bentuk penyajian. Penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang terdiri dari beberapa aspek yaitu Observasi, Wawancara, dan Dokumentasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Museum Deli Serdang dan Sanggar Cipta Pesona. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan April 2023 sampai Juni 2023. Populasi dan Sampel terdiri dari 2 seniman tari Deli Serdang dan 2 pasang penari Sanggar Cipta Pesona. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan dari Tari Serampang XII yang sudah berkembang di Deli Serdang dengan Tari Serampang XII versi Manuskrip dari bentuk penyajiannya yang dapat dilihat dari aspek-aspek yang terdiri dari gerak kaki, busana, musik, pola lantai dan beberapa ragam gerak yang sangat terlihat perbedaannya pada ragam ke 10 yaitu ragam datang mendatangi.

Abstract

Tor-tor Usihan Bodat Haudanan is a folk dance performed at the Rondang Bittang Festival, a Simalungun community celebration during the harvest. This research aims to analyze the structure of this dance using Anya Peterson Royce's structural theory, which describes the relationship between the parts of the dance. The method used was descriptive qualitative, implemented at the Pematang Raya State Vocational School for Arts and Culture. The results of the research showed that there was an organizational relationship between the beginning, content and conclusion. The first part begins with a gesture of respect to the audience. The main part depicts a monkey stealing fruit in the field, while the ending shows the monkey confused when the rain comes, ending with a tribute. The three acts reflect the relationship between theme, movement and floor patterns. Dynamic dance movements involve the hands, feet and body, inspired by nature and everyday life. This Tor-tor theme reflects the disturbances faced by farmers during the farming process. Music functions as a rhythm that accompanies every movement.
