Abstract

Numeracy skills are an important component of 21st century learning and are a reference in PISA results. This research aims to improve numeracy skills in fractional materials through a problem-based learning model assisted by kahoot media. The subject of the study was a grade VI student of SD Negeri 3 Karangtengah. The research method applied is class action research. The research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. Each meeting consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation/observation, and reflection. The research instruments used were numeracy skills tests and observation sheets on learning implementation. The data analysis technique used in this study is quantitative by analyzing the increase in the cycle of the numeracy test and learning observation sheets. The results of the study show that the application of the problem-based learning model assisted by kahoot media can improve students' numeracy skills. This condition is evidenced by the results of the numeracy skills test in the implementation of the first cycle, obtaining an average score of 78.75% then increasing in the second cycle by 80%. The results of the research provide scientific and practical contributions on learning innovations that are encouraging and support the improvement of learning outcomes, especially numeracy.

Abstract

Character building for students is a crucial aspect of education, particularly in instilling moral and religious values. One approach is through habituation methods, such as reciting Surah Yasin before class. This habituation is expected to foster students' spiritual intelligence, especially during adolescence, when they are vulnerable to negative environmental influences. Spiritual intelligence plays a crucial role in equipping students to face life's challenges and distinguishing between good and bad behavior. This study aimed to determine the effect of reciting Surah Yasin before class on the spiritual intelligence of ninth-grade students at MTs Ribatul Muta'allimin Pekalongan. The study used a quantitative approach with simple linear regression. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to ninth-grade students. The study population was 192 students, with a sample of 77 students drawn using cluster sampling. Data analysis was performed using t-tests, F-tests, and regression. The results showed that reciting Surah Yasin before class significantly impacted students' spiritual intelligence. The average score for the habitual reading of Surah Yasin was 82.59, while for spiritual intelligence, it was 86.67. The t-test and F-test results indicated a significant effect, supported by regression results showing that every one-point increase in habitual reading of Surah Yasin increased spiritual intelligence by 0.674 points. These findings confirm that the habitual reading of Surah Yasin before class is effective in supporting the development of students' spiritual character. Therefore, schools are advised to maintain and develop religious habitual activities by involving teachers and parents. Future research is expected to develop variables and research methods to obtain more comprehensive results

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir komputasi sangat krusial dalam pembelajaran geometri yang memerlukan penalaran logis dan terstruktur. Selain aspek kognitif, kemampuan ini dipengaruhi oleh aspek afektif seperti efikasi diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kemampuan berpikir komputasi mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah geometri serta mengkaji peran efikasi diri dalam membedakan kualitas kemampuan tersebut. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, penelitian ini melibatkan 60 mahasiswa semester lima Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika di Universitas Islam Negeri K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes berpikir komputasi, kuesioner, wawancara, dan observasi. Data dianalisis melalui teknik analisis isi yang mencakup reduksi, kategorisasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa dengan efikasi diri tinggi memiliki kemampuan berpikir komputasi yang lebih unggul dibandingkan mahasiswa dengan efikasi diri rendah. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya efikasi diri dalam membentuk profil berpikir komputasi dan berimplikasi pada pengembangan strategi pembelajaran matematika yang mengintegrasikan aspek kognitif serta afektif. Computational thinking is essential in geometry education, as it demands logical, systematic, and structured reasoning. Beyond cognitive dimensions, this ability is significantly influenced by affective factors, particularly self-efficacy. This study aims to analyze students' computational thinking skills in solving geometric problems and examine how self-efficacy differentiates the quality of these skills. Employing a qualitative case study design, the research involved 60 fifth-semester Mathematics Education students at Universitas Islam Negeri K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan. Data were collected through computational thinking tests, questionnaires, interviews, and observations, and subsequently analyzed using content analysis techniques, including data reduction, categorization, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that students with high self-efficacy demonstrate superior computational thinking abilities compared to those with low self-efficacy. This study underscores the critical role of self-efficacy in shaping computational thinking profiles and suggests the need for integrated cognitive-affective instructional strategies in mathematics education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tahapan berpikir siswa serta faktor pendukung pemahaman konsep matematis pada materi segi empat melalui penerapan model Flipped Classroom berbantuan GeoGebra. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek siswa kelas VIII B MTs Muhammadiyah Kajen yang dipilih berdasarkan kategori kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dengan keabsahan data diperoleh melalui triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis siswa berada pada tahapan berpikir Van Hiele yang berbeda. Siswa kategori tinggi berada pada Tahap Abstraksi (Level 2) dan Tahap Hubungan (Level 3), ditandai dengan kemampuan mengklasifikasikan bangun segi empat berdasarkan sifat geometris serta menerapkan konsep dan algoritma secara sistematis. Siswa kategori sedang berada pada Tahap Analisis (Level 1), mampu mengenali dan mengeksplorasi sifat bangun, namun pemahaman konseptualnya masih didominasi pendekatan prosedural. Sementara itu, siswa kategori rendah berada pada Tahap Visualisasi (Level 0), dengan pemahaman terbatas pada pengenalan bentuk visual. Faktor pendukung utama bagi siswa kategori sedang dan rendah adalah visualisasi dinamis GeoGebra yang membantu klarifikasi konsep, sedangkan siswa kategori tinggi didukung oleh kemampuan mengintegrasikan materi Pre-Class dengan aktivitas In-Class.
