Abstract

In distributing electrical energy to customers, required a reliable power system. Disturbances in a system of electricity can not be avoided. Generally disruption of the underground channels, prone to disturbance occurs in cable connections (Jointing). Interference that occurs in SKTM in jointing that is existence of partial discharge. From the cable test results of a feeder Debur B 329 to B 162 this is a very bad cable condition. The location of the bad cable is at a distance of 59 to 91 m and 190 to 220 m, with a capacity of 0.272 μF and a frequency of 353.98 Hz. The cable testing to determine the existance on the cable channel and location of the occurance of interference so that it can be done immediately repair or replacement on the cable that has interference.

Abstract

In the operation of the electric power system, good quality service is needed. One of them is thevoltage value received by the customer does not get a voltage drop. Based on SPLN No.1: 1978, theservice voltage is a maximum of 5% and a minimum of 10% of the nominal voltage of the LowVoltage Network that is 220 Volt. One of the locations experiencing voltage drop problems is on theCentral Pakandangan Village, Sumenep. Based on an analysis do by the PT PLN UP3 PamekasanNetwork division, it turns out that the voltage drop that occurred on Central Pakandangan Villagecaused by the location. The location is to far from the KH 007 distribution substation, which is 643meters. Then, the area around the location also has a high burden due to the many standingresidential settlements. Therefore, it is necessary to break the load on the network. This method isdone by moving or transferring part of the load from the old network to the new network. Which isthe last 5 poles in this line. so the load supported by one line does not have voltage drop. The resultobtained after performing the load break is that the voltage on the receiving side rises to phase R200 Volt, phase S 212 Volt, and phase T 202 Volt. Where previously the value of the voltage on thereceiving side is phase R 189 Volt, phase S 206 Volt, and phase T 194 Volt.

Abstract

Solar radiation has a great effect on the output of the photovoltaic system. Wind speed is directly related to the cooling of the PV system and can also affect the performance of the solar collector. This research looks at the influence of temperature and wind on the efficiency of solar panels. From the results of the tests and calculations, it was found that the temperature of the single crystal panel measured on that day was 44°C, and the temperature of the polycrystalline panel was 43°C. The effect of wind speed on the efficiency of the solar module, calculated based on calculations using the linear regression method, shows a correlation level of R = 0.0281. This means that only about 2.81% wind speed will affect it. Has solar module efficiency. From the various aspects of the calculations carried out, we can see that the efficiency of the single crystal panel is 11.716%, while the efficiency of the polycrystalline panel is 10.02%. From the calculation results, we can conclude that the efficiency of the single crystal module is significantly increased.

Abstract

Several cities in the Indonesian region are tropical areas that have a fairly high level of lightning insecurity, one of which is the Jayapura city. Demographic conditions make up to the occurrence of lightning strikes and fall into the category of regions that have a fairly high level of lightning insecurity. One of the causes of frequent interference in high-voltage systems comes from lightning. For this reason, it is necessary to optimize the interference that may occur by setting the distance between the lightning arrester and the transformer so as to minimize the level of interference that can occur due to lightning. Lightning arrester is one of the protection tools used to protect equipment against short circuit and lightning. From the results and analysis that has been done obtained results with a distance of 4.11 m and 4.40m which has an impulse voltage value due to surja that arrives at its transformer at skyline substation of 114.22 kV and 114.80 kV.  While the optimal distance from the placement of the lightning arrester with the transformer is at a distance of 0.58m at that distance obtained a large value of impulse voltage due to surja that arrives at the transformer of 107.16 kV. The value of impulse voltage due to surja is smaller when compared to the value of impulse voltage due to surja obtained from the lightning arrester separated from the transformer. So that in this study it can be concluded that a good lightning arrester placement is required to be as close as possible to the equipment it protects in order to neutralize the disturbances that can occur.

Abstract

Reliability describes the proportion of service level when power is delivered from the system to the customer. PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Biak still experiences frequent power outages due to fallen trees, animal activities such as snakes, and disturbances due to blackouts due to bad weather, which affects the reliability value. By using SAIDI and SAIFI to determine the level of reliability at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Biak, then based on the standards that have been determined by the Main Unit for the Papua and West Papua Regions with a SAIDI value of 10.11 hours/customer/year and SAIFI = 9.72 times/customer/year. For this reason, periodic maintenance is carried out such as tree removal, installation of fibers, installation of insulators and repair of SUTM and SUTR constructions. After the maintenance, the results showed that there was a change in the value of SAIDI and SAIFI, namely ULP Biak City, the value of SAIDI = 5.9 hours/customer and SAIFI = 4.98 times/customer with a percentage decrease of 87.6% and 88.8%, respectively. ULP Yumdori value SAIDI = 11.48 hours/customer and SAIFI = 5.97 times/customer with a percentage decrease of 90.1% and 94.3%, respectively. ULP Serui value SAIDI = 6.48 hours/customer and SAIFI = 3.79 times/customer with a percentage decrease of 83.4% and 86.9%. ULP Waropen value SAIDI = 0.77 hours/customer and SAIFI = 0.95 times/customer with a percentage decrease of 92.2% and 86%, respectively.

Abstract

In accordance Regulation the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries No /MEN/2011, each ship crew must have certificate competency experts for fish storage refrigeration. Before, participating in the competency test, each participant must possess knowledge and skills according to the competency standards of level 1 refrigerators. Partner activity is SMK Negeri 1 Tangerang Districts, which a study program Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (TPPU). Curriculum design has not yet been studied specifically accordance regulations for Refrigeration Experts KKP. This education and training one the solutions to prepare graduates will take the competency certificate. The training be carried out within 3 (three) days, the material refers to regulation certification of refrigeration regulations level 1 KKP. Training is given in form of theory and practice. The pre-test, post-test and evaluation of feedback from participants. The number of participants of the training as 30 consisted of 4 graduate and 26 students of SMK N 1 class XII, Program Study TPPU. From the pre-test and post results, there was 31.12% increase in knowledge about refrigeration system according to competency standard the AR-1 KKP, and from feedback participant that this training activity positively had impact on increasing the competency and expertise participants

Abstract

Photovoltaic systems or solar power plants convert electromagnetic energy from sunlight into electrical energy. This renewable energy based power plant is one of the recommended solutions for electricity in remote rural areas where sunlight is abundant and fuel is difficult to obtain and relatively expensive. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has issued Ministerial Regulation regarding the use of the Roof Solar Power Plant system by consumers of the Indonesian Electricity Company (PLN). It is hoped that with this regulation the solar panel business and industry can flourish. The method we use in this Community Service is the observation method. By making observations in the field accompanied by interviews with the surrounding population becomes our primary data source in determining the needs of the problems that occur. In Cilatak Village we found minimal of street lighting, and limited electricity supply, for this reason we strongly support programs for new and renewable energy for remote areas that are difficult to get electricity supply. Based on this, we created the Development of Public Street Lights with Solar Electricity in Cilatak Village, Ciomas District, Serang District, Banten, so that the problems of public road lighting can be overcome, and we educated the utilization and maintenance.

Abstract

Grounding system is one way to reduce the effect of an electric current that can occur by several kinds of causes, such as leakage current or short circuit and the result of lightning surges. One method of grounding on a power transformer used by GIS Jatiwaringin is to use a NGR (Neutral Grounding Resistor) mounted on the 20 kV side, while on the 150 kV side it uses direct grounding (solid grounding) and the presence of a Ground Fault Relay. The value of single-phase short circuit current to the ground with resistance R = 12 Ω at the location with the percentage of disturbance of 25% that is equal to 928.48 Ω. Meanwhile, the value of single-phase short-circuit current to the ground without passing R at the location with a disturbance percentage of 25% is equal to 4066.55 Ω. Thus, the effect of the NGR on a single-phase to short-circuit fault current is to limit the one-phase short-circuit fault current to the ground so it does not flow to the neutral point of the transformer. The TMS value on the GFR on the outgoing side based on calculations is 0.11 and based on the installed relay is 0.12. Meanwhile, the TMS value on the GFR on the incoming side based on calculations is 0.27 and based on the installed relay is 0.15. Then, at the location with 25% disturbance percentage is 0.382 s. The difference between the relay's working time on the outgoing side and the incoming side is still in accordance with applicable standards, with a maximum difference of 0.4 seconds.
