Abstract

Macrozoobenthos is one of the organisms that can be used as biological indicators because it tends to live in an area and has sensitivity to environmental changes. The Hurun River had many community activities. Based on this, it was necessary to analyze the diversity of macrozoobenthos which will be compared with the physical and chemical parameters of water in order to find out the indicators that affect the abundance of macrozoobenthos in the river. The purpose of this research was to determine the macrozoobenthic community structure which found in the Hurun River based on diversity, uniformity and dominance indices, to build multiple linear regression models, and to determine the bioindicators of pollution in the Hurun River. The factors that influence the abundance of macrozoobenthos are temperature, depth, brightness, DO, TOM, and salinity. The types of macrozoobenthos obtained were 87 species with the highest abundance of macrozoobenthic animals of 70,666.56 ind/m3 while the lowest abundance of macrozoobenthic animals was 13,000.96 ind/m3. Based on data analysis, the macrozoobenthic diversity index was included in the medium category, the level of macrozoobenthic uniformity was included in the high, medium, and low categories, and the dominance level which was included in the medium and low categories. Multiple regression models with a confidence level of 5% get R2 results of 0.86. The level of pollution that occured in the Hurun River based on bioindicators with the ABC curve shows moderately polluted.

Abstract

Sunda Strait has high values of fish resources, one of the resource are fringescale sardinella (Sardinella fimbriata). Catches composition for fringescale sardinella was 26% and the largest among the composition of other small pelagic fish. Management of fish resources needs to be carried out in a controlled manner followed by monitoring of the sustainability fish resources. This study aims to analyze the value of CPUE, assess the status of the stock, and total allowable catch of fringescale sardinella in the Sunda Strait. The method used in this research was descriptive method. The results showed that the relationship between effort and CPUE of tembang fish had a determination value (R2) of 85% with the equation CPUE = -0,0003F + 1,616. The MSY value using the Schaefer model approach was 2608,65 tons / year and optimal effort (fMSY) was 3.227 trips, actual catch was 2382,46 tons/ year, actual effort was 4015 trips, and total allowable catch (TAC) was 2347,78 tons. Keywords : CPUE, fringescale sardinella, sustainable yield, Sunda Strait

Abstract

Snakehead fish as a fish of high economic value is currently still caught through nature where cork maintenance has not been widely done. Snakehead fish contains high protein, good for health can also for recover damaged. This investigation intends to produce findings from earlier research into the feeding patterns of snakehead fish (Channa striata) in aquatic environments. Because it can serve as a resource for the public and other parties in terms of ecological and biological studies as well as serve as a guide for activities involving the farming of snakehead fish, this study literature is fascinating to address the feeding habits of snakehead fish (Channa striata). Fish fries are the principal diet for carnivorous snakehead fish. when zooplankton or other tiny crustaceans are more commonly consumed by snakehead fish larvae. This disparity in eating patterns is determined by things including fish kind, age, food availability, environment, and fish size. Due to the lack of food, the effects of the season, and the time spent searching for food, snakehead fish are found to have an empty stomach in both their larval and adult stages.
