Abstract

Distribution is an important part of the logistics process, especially in the efficient delivery of goods from producers to consumers. This study aims to determine the optional distribution route of goods at PT.XYZ in order to minimize travel distance, as well as determine the best method in determining the route. The method used is the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) approach with three calculation techniques, namely saving matrix, nearest insert, nearest neighbor with validation and verification processes using LINGO 18.0 software. The result of the study show that the saving matrix method gets 7 routes and fleet allocations according to their maximum capacity, calculations from the three nearest insert methods get the shortest distance of 5098.1 km and savings in total distribution operational costs of Rp. 12,680,370 or 27.22% of the existing condition. This study is expected to be a recommendation for companies in distributing products.

Abstract

CV. ABP Mandiri is a manufacturing company that produces motorcycle spare parts, particularly swingarm components. The company’s main problem is the absence of standardized working time and inefficient work methods, causing production targets to not be achieved optimally. This study aims to analyze the physical workload level of operators using the Cardiovascular Load (CVL) method in the production process at CV. ABP Mandiri. The CVL method is used to determine the level of work fatigue based on measurements of resting heart rate and working heart rate of operators at each production workstation. Research data were obtained through field observations and direct heart rate measurements during work activities. Based on the results of the study using the CVL method, the operators’ workload level was categorized as low to moderate. The welding process had the highest workload with a CVL value of 53%. Therefore, improvements in the work system, rest time arrangements, and the application of ergonomics are needed to reduce work fatigue and improve operator productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the control of raw material inventory in the fuel tank manufacturing process at PT Meco Inoxprima to improve production flow and cost efficiency. The company’s main problem is delays in the procurement of imported raw materials, which disrupt production schedules and increase operating costs. The methods used are EOQ, Safety Stock, and ROP, utilizing historical data from 2025–2026. The results indicate optimal order quantities of 435 sheets (aluminum alloy), 334 sheets (stainless steel), and 281 sheets (mild steel). Safety stock is set at 102, 43, and 36 sheets for each material, respectively. The ROP values are 480, 197, and 92 sheets. Total inventory costs decrease from Rp. 136,250,000 to Rp. 107,890,000 per year, resulting in savings of Rp. 28,360,000 (20.82%). The application of the EOQ, Safety Stock, and ROP methods has proven effective in improving operational cost efficiency and ensuring smooth production.

Abstract

UD. Kasak Paper Bag is a manufacturing company that produces paper bags and experiences problems in controlling and supplying raw materials, especially medium paper, which causes delays in the production process. The raw material procurement system is still based on estimates, resulting in shortages and excess inventory. The purpose of this study is to determine efficient raw material planning through the application of the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method. The methods used include demand forecasting with the Moving Average and Weighted Moving Average methods with the application of the Lot For Lot (LFL) and Period Order Quantity (POQ) lot sizing techniques. The results show that the Moving Average method has the best level of accuracy with a MAD value of 503.7. MRP calculations show that the LFL method produces the minimum total inventory cost of Rp16,530,000 compared to the POQ method. The application of MRP can increase the effectiveness of raw material inventory management and maintain the smoothness of the production process.

Abstract

PT. XYZ operates in the furniture production sector using a Make-to-Order (MTO) system for woven aluminum chairs. The company's primary challenge lies in the unplanned management of material requirements, which often results in a mismatch between inventory levels and production process requirements. This situation necessitates the implementation of a raw material planning method that can improve inventory control effectiveness and maintain smooth production activities. This study utilized several analytical stages: demand forecasting, preparation of a Master Production Schedule (JIP), application of Material Requirement Planning (MRP), and analysis of lot sizing techniques using the Lot for Lot (LFL) and Period Order Quantity (POQ) methods. Based on the forecasting test results, the Moving Average method provided the smallest error value with a MAD of 70.37, thus being selected as the basis for JIP preparation. Furthermore, the MRP calculation results indicated that the LFL method resulted in an inventory cost of Rp32,875,500 and was deemed more optimal than the POQ method for raw material inventory control. The implementation of this method is expected to improve inventory efficiency while supporting the company's smooth production process.

Abstract

This study aims to design and build a rubber material mixing machine using an anthropometric approach to improve work time efficiency at CV. Nur Hidayah. The main problem faced is that the rubber material mixing process is still done manually, so it takes a long time, a large workforce, and has the potential to cause fatigue and the risk of work injuries. The method used in this study is an engineering design method with an anthropometric approach, namely adjusting the dimensions of the machine to the worker's body size to create comfort and work efficiency. The data required are worker data, worker anthropometric data, and cost data. The results obtained for the body measurements used include a standing elbow height of 101 cm, a forward arm reach length of 70 cm, a knee height of 51 cm, and a hand span length of 149 cm. Before the machine was installed, CV. Nur Hidayah still manually mixed rubber tacks with a process time of approximately 58 minutes. After the mixing machine was designed and implemented, the mixing time was successfully shortened to approximately 15 minutes.

Abstract

An adequate supply of raw materials is one of the main factors in maintaining the smooth operation of the production process in the manufacturing industry. UD XYZ , a company that produces shoe soles, has experienced a shortage of raw materials, which has affected the production process and hindered the achievement of production targets. The purpose of this study is to analyze the inventory control system and determine the most efficient inventory policy. The methods used include forecasting with Moving Average (MA), Weighted Moving Average (WMA), and Single Exponential Smoothing (SES), as well as inventory control with the probabilistic P-Back Order Model. The results of the study show that the most optimal inventory solution is obtained in the fourth iteration with an order interval of 0.0891 years, an order quantity of 3,991.06 kg, a safety stock of 659.09 kg, a reorder point of 4,650.15 kg, and a total inventory cost of Rp 1,527,552,249.94. Implementing this policy is expected to minimize the risk of shortage, increase inventory efficiency, and support the smooth operation of the company's production activities.
