Background: In Insentive Care Unit, generally the patients use a mechanical ventilator, so intensive monitoring is necessary, including one of which is oxygen saturation. Regular patient positioning in the ICU need to prevent complications. Giving the position of the body can affect the development of the lung and thoracic wall which affects lung volume and gas exchange. The research objective: to determine the comparison of positioning of the semi-fowler head elevation of 300 and left lateral both head elevation of 300 to the increase in oxygen saturation in patients on a ventilator in the ICU. Methodology: quasi experiment use pretest- posttest with control group. The total of sample was 30 patients divided into 15 patients in the 300 semi-fowler’s position and 15 patients in the left lateral with 30? Head Elevations. Oxygen saturation data was measured using pulse oximetry for all groups. The intervention was carried out 30 minutes three times a day. Data analysis was univariate and bivariate with T test. The results finding: The result showed a significant difference in oxygen saturation before and after interventions. The semi-fowler position with a head elevation of 300 (P value = 0,000) and the left lateral position with a head elevation of 300 (Pvalue = 0.000). The mean increase in oxygen saturation between the semi-fowler and left lateral positions were (P value = 0.006). Conclusion: The left lateral position with a head elevation of 300 was more effective in increasing oxygen saturation in patients on a mechanical ventilator in the ICU. Suggestion: It is expected that the hospital supervises the implementation of giving positions to patients who are admitted to the ICU in a structured and planned manner.

Acupressure is now included as a nursing intervention and is recognized in more than 40 countries. The Nursing science strata S1 Study Program and the Nurse Profession Study Program, Faculty of Technology and Health, Unjani Cimahi have advantages in the field of complementary acupressure therapy. Acupressure therapy has been applied to the learning process, laboratory practice and practice in the community, but for clinical instructors as guides for learning in practice areas and in the community, it is still lacking. There is a need for training efforts given to puskesmas nurses and health cadres in the Cimahi City area to prepare prospective clinical instructors for student mentors in practice areas. Acupressure massage training was given to 14 nurses and health cadres in the Cimahi City area for 3 days through lecture and demonstration methods by resource persons and ended with a practical exam. The results of the training activities obtained that the average skill before being given training was 67.14 and the average skill after being given training was 89.07. There was a significant increase in skills (p value 0.001) in puskesmas nurses and health cadres in the Cimahi City area. It is recommended for cadres and nurses to apply acupressure massage skills in their area as a complementary therapy to overcome various symptoms and disorders caused by diseases experienced by the community.

It is been almost 1 month since the Cianjur earthquake disaster, but there are still many problems that have not been resolved. One of these problems is the post-disaster trauma of the people affected by the Cianjur earthquake. Post-disaster mental recovery efforts are needed, especially for nursing students who are domiciled in the Cianjur region. The purpose of this community service activity is to carry out post-disaster recovery efforts and provide material support to nursing students who are domiciled throughout the Cianjur. This community service activity was held on December 19 2022 by all lecturers, educational staff, and nursing student association (HIMA) Fitkes Unjani by providing deep breathing relaxation therapy and material support assistance for 32 nursing students who live in 4 subdistricts in Cianjur. The results of the recovery effort showed that there was a difference in the average anxiety score between pre and postmental recovery therapy with a significant value of 0.001, (<0.05), which means that post-mental recovery therapy can significantly reduce anxiety scores. Deep breathing relaxation therapy has been proven to be able to significantly assist the mental recovery process after the Cianjur earthquake disaster for nursing students who live in Cianjur. It is suggested to all nursing students affected by the Cianjur earthquake to apply this therapy to further reduce anxiety after the Cianjur earthquake.

Bowel preparation quality determines colonoscopy success; non-adherence and anxiety may reduce patient readiness. This study examined the effect of a pre-colonoscopy educational video on bowel preparation adherence and anxiety levels. A quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used. Fifty-six respondents recruited through consecutive sampling were divided into an intervention group (n=28) receiving additional educational video and a control group (n=28) receiving standard information. Adherence was measured using a questionnaire, anxiety using HADS-A, and bowel quality using BBPS. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon, Mann-Whitney, and multiple linear regression. The intervention group showed a decrease in median anxiety from 13.00 to 8.00 (p<0.001), while the control group decreased from 12.00 to 10.50 (p<0.001). The intervention group had higher adherence (median 18.00 vs 15.00; p<0.001). Adherence was the dominant factor influencing BBPS (B=0.402; p<0.001). The educational video improved adherence and reduced anxiety. These findings support integrating educational videos as a standardized nursing intervention for pre-colonoscopy preparation to improve bowel preparation quality and patient psychological comfort.
