Abstract

Abstract

Various kinds of problems and pressures inmates (WBP) face during the punishment can trigger psychiatric issues. These psychiatric problems can manifest as actions that harm the environment or each other. Humans themselves are never separated from the dynamics of emotions in their lives. However, when life is at its lowest point, negative emotions spiral out of control and become a ticking time bomb. Negative emotions at their peak need to be channeled so as not to destroy the human being himself. The channeling of negative feelings does not have to be conducted concretely through words but through a cathartic process through works of art. Artworks can be a symbolic embodiment of life storylines, trauma, or anxiety. Art therapy activities aim to be catharsis or release of emotions in dealing with life's pressures so that participants can feel more prosperous while serving their sentences. Evaluation of activities through observation and interviews with participants, and the results are 13 participants expressed satisfaction with the activities that had been carried out.

Abstract

Bronchial asthma is a reversible narrowing of the bronchi due to bronchial hyperactivity. Repeated asthma attacks with mild or severe degrees turned out to have a negative impact on the sufferer and became a cause of death. Routine therapy given during asthma exacerbations is expected to prevent the severity of acid attacks when they occur. Complementary therapies that exist today are expected to have a positive impact when an asthma attack occurs. Methods: The writing of this article uses the literature review method to find complementary therapies that can be given to asthma patients. Results: Traditional eastern medicine states that asthma attacks occur due to weakness of the lung meridians, Discussion: weakness that occurs in the lung meridians can be improved by increasing Qi (energy) through herbs, strengthening the lung meridians using acupuncture. Conclusion: Complementary therapy can be applied appropriately and carefully once we are able to establish a diagnosis based on TCM treatment of excess or defensive lung meridians.

Abstract

Cancer related Fatigue (CRF) is a symptom that occurs in almost all cancer patients. CRF causes various physical and psychological impacts that can hinder the patient's normal life. The aim of this study was to explain the multifactorial triggers of CRF in cancer patients. The research design used is a descriptive design. The population of all cancer patients at the Kedungdoro Public Health Center Surabaya, with a large sample of 28 people. Samples were taken by purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria. The instrument uses a Brief Fatigue Inventory (BFI) which has been tested for validity and reliability. The triggering factor for CRF in this study with the highest CRF score for each factor was age in the elderly group (23.4 + 6.8), gender factor was found in women (18.96 + 6.73), the type of cancer was found in breast cancer (21.25 + 7.36), the cancer stage factor was in stage 3 cancer (24.11 + 8.29), the length of cancer was 4-6 years (21.62 + 6.04), and the cancer therapy factor was found in respondents who received chemotherapy + surgery therapy (24.11 + 8.29). All of the above factors trigger mild CRF with varying mean scores ranging from the lowest score of 16 to the highest score of 24.11. CRF does not appear only because of cancer, but there are other multifactorial factors that trigger CRF in cancer patients
