Abstract

Perkembangan persaingan antar perusahaan semakin ketat baik pada tingkat regional maupun global. Pada sebagian besar industri jasa, kualitas layanan secara umum diterima sebagai suatu faktor penentu (key factor). Zeithaml dan Berry menyatakan bahwa kualitas layanan merupakan strategi yang mendasar dalam upaya perusahaan meraih sukses dan keberlanjutan dalam lingkungan bisnis yang ketat. Kualitas pelayanan dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor seperti penggunaan teknologi informasi dan implementasi strategi diferensiasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan teknologi informasi terhadap kualitas pelayanan, pengaruh kualitas pelayanan terhadap keunggulan bersaing, dan pengaruh implementasi strategi diferensiasi terhadap keunggulan bersaing. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian explanatory adalah untuk menjelaskan hubungan kausal antara variabel melalui proposisi konfirmatory dan pengujian. Dalam penelitian ini teknik analisis yang digunakan Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Perwakilan jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian yang sesuai dengan menggunakan teknik analisis SEM.Teknologi informasi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas pelayanan, strategi diferensiasi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keunggulan kompetitif, kualitas layanan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keunggulan kompetitif. Teknologi informasi dan strategi diferensiasi dapat memengaruhi kualitas pelayanan dan kualitas pelayanan itu sendiri akan memengaruhi keunggulan bersaing rumah sakit. Kesimpulannya adalah penggunaan teknologi informasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas pelayanan sedangkan strategi diferensiasi dan kualitas layanan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keunggulan bersaing.

Abstract

The problem occured in Labuang Baji Makassar Hospital as a newly formed hospital with health workers, especially nurses mostly comes from fresh graduates so their experience and skills of serving patients are still low. From the data that we obtained, complaints against the services of Labuang Baji Makassar Hospital are staff friendliness only reached 24% and slow service with a total of 21%. Quality services are the expectation of all patients who received health service. Even so, not all the hospital able to offer a service that desired. This is because of good quality health services can only be administered by the professional workers who have good knowledge and skills, so the patient can feel comfortable. The excellent service training method was involved the trainee partners. So, this training can be expected to improve the trainee become trainers to train other Labuang Baji Hospital staff. This training will be conducted by applying discourse methods, question and answer, group discussions, games, simulations and group presentation. One group pre-test and post-test was conducted with 16 participants to see the impact from the training, The results show that there awas an increased knowledge of the excellent service participants before the training and after the training. Before the training the level of knowledge of 9 people (56.3%) who were in high level, and after training increased to 93.8% or as many as 15 people. Based on the results of the analysis on excellent service training there was an increased in participants' knowledge about the concept of hospital services, customer satisfaction and loyalty, attitude and appearance of excellent service, verbal and non-verbal communication in health services, intelligence development, transportation assistance, satisfaction assistance. With the existence of excellent service training, it is expected that the training participants can apply the knowledge they have obtained in order to provide satisfying services for patients.

Abstract

Lorong Sehat (Longset) is one of the innovation programs to realize the improvement of the lives of healthy citizens of Makassar City. This program is specifically aimed at increasing public awareness to protect the environment and clean and healthy living behavior, from providing socialization to program evaluation to community members, one of which is to teach healthy life, wash hands before eating, get used to checking babies/toddlers to posyandu if there is , dispose of garbage in its place, and so on so that basic health can be fulfilled. This program is also contained in the Makassar City Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) document for the 2014-2019 period. This service is a response to the existence of several problems that focus on the problems mostly in the periphery (slum area) which in this case is dominated by people living in 7000 aisles/alleys of Makassar City who have difficulty reaching basic health data. This planning process involves the community together with the government conducted at a Planning and Development Deliberation (Musrembang) meeting and monitored directly by leaders in the Health Office, such as section heads, field heads, official secretaries and even agency heads who directly monitor through the head of the puskesmas and figures community about health problems. The immediate impact of community empowerment was that the residents in the hallway were immediately handled by the people who had been given training and direct coordination by the puskesmas. Based on the results of the analysis on the healthy Aisle training there was an increase in participants knowledge regarding healthy aisles, Clean and Healthy Life Behavior (PHBS), Non-Smoking Areas (KTR), personal hygiene and Maternal and Child Health (MCH). With the existence of this healthy Hallway training, it is expected that the trainees can apply the knowledge they have acquired and can spread their knowledge to the people in their environment so that they can help the development process of the healthy Hallway.

Abstract

Based on the regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs number 79 of 2018 requires that all Regional Public Service Agencies (BLUD) including Puskesmas must develop a strategic plan as an administrative requirement for the establishment of BLUD. Several strategic changes have taken place since the creation of the Puskesmas strategic plan in Maros Regency including the Covid-19 pandemic until the publication of the Maros Regency Health Office Strategic Plan for the 2021-2026 period which must be a new reference for all UPTD health offices including puskesmas to develop a new strategic plan. Therefore, training was carried out targeting the improvement of knowledge and skills of health workers at the puskesmas in preparing strategic plans BLUD Puskesmas in accordance with the characteristics of the population, health problems faced, as well as policies and targets set by the Maros Regency government and the Health Office. The implementation was carried out within a period of 2 days in August 2022 with the Training of Trainer (ToT) method. Based on the results of the training evaluation, the presentation of the materials presented was able to be clearly understood by the trainees. This can be seen from the average level of knowledge of the participants (42 participants) before the training was only 39.7% and increased to 47.7% after the training related to the preparation of strategic plans BLUD Puskesmas, so it is expected to improve the quality of Service and performance BLUD Puskesmas.

Abstract

Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) regarding cybersecurity in healthcare settings, focusing on variations across hospitals of different sizes. Cybersecurity is critical in the digitalization of healthcare, yet gaps in awareness and training persist, particularly in developing countries. With increasing cyber threats targeting healthcare institutions globally, this study seeks to address the underexplored role of nurses in safeguarding hospital information systems. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in three government hospitals in Makassar, Indonesia, from [start month/year] to [end month/year]. A total of 331 nurses participated, representing hospitals of varying organizational sizes and bed capacities. Data were collected using structured questionnaires, assessing KAP related to cybersecurity. Ethical approval was obtained from [name of ethics committee], and written informed consent was secured from all participants. Data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics, with significance set at p < 0.05. Results: The study revealed significant gaps in nurses' cybersecurity knowledge, attitudes, and practices. Awareness of hospital cybersecurity policies was low (43.2%), particularly in larger hospitals. Hospital 3, the smallest, exhibited higher awareness (59.0%) compared to Hospital 1 (35.8%) and Hospital 2 (39.6%) (p = 0.03). Risky behaviours, such as using personal devices for sensitive data transfer, were prevalent (77.0%), with the highest incidence in larger hospitals. Statistical analyses confirmed significant variations in cybersecurity KAP based on hospital size and organizational complexity. Conclusion: This study highlights the critical need for targeted cybersecurity training programs, particularly for nursing staff in larger hospitals, through raising awareness of social engineering attacks, email scams, and infection detection. By addressing gaps in awareness and practices, hospitals can enhance data protection and mitigate risks. Future research should explore tailored interventions and organizational factors influencing cybersecurity in healthcare systems to inform global health policies.

Abstract

Introduction: Nurses have a major contribution in determining the quality of hospital services, but the heavy workload carried by nurses makes them vulnerable to work stress. Work stress that is if not handled properly can result in a decrease in the quality of services provided to the effect on hospital productivity, therefore it is necessary to do a coping strategy so that nurses can deal with and neutralize or overcomereduce the work stress experienced. Objective: This study aims to describe stress coping strategies for nurses in the Inpatient Installation of the Hasanuddin University Hospital Makassar. Method: This research was using quantitative approach. It was conducted at the Hasanuddin University Hospital in July 2022. The population in this study were all nurses who served in the Inpatient Room of Hasanuddin University Hospital with a total sample of 54 nurses. Collecting research data using The Brief COPE Questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using univariate analysis test. Result: The results describe nurses' stress coping strategies based on problem focused coping, that all indicators included in the high category, there are active coping (6.42), followed by planning (6.29) and use of instrumental support (6.02). Then the Nnurse's stress coping strategy based on emotional focused coping, there are 3 indicators that are included in the high category, there are religion (7.39), positive reframing (6.31), and acceptance (6.07), use of emotional support (4 .83) is an indicator that included in the medium category and denial (3.14) is an indicator that included in the low category. While Nnurses' stress coping strategies based on dysfunctional coping, self-distraction (6,16) is the only indicators that included in the high category, then there are 4 indicators that were included in the moderate category, there were namely venting (4,87), humor (4,50), self blame (4.50), and behavioral disengagement (3.24), as well as substance use (2.66) are indicators that are included in the low category. Conclusion: Majority of nurses at Hasanuddin University Hospital applied high problem focused coping and emotional focused coping. Therefore, the management of the Hasanuddin University Hospital may consider opening or holding a communication forum between nurses in each treatment room to discuss problems at work and provide psychological guidance and support in order to overcome the work stress that nurses experienced.
