Abstract

One of the factors causing dental caries is the lack of children's knowledge resulting in a lack of awareness of children maintaining dental hygiene. To increase children's knowledge can promote dental health through child oral health education and mouth. The use of media is still less effective in health education that has been running. Therefore the need for innovation and development is to use media innovation "Heni's Dental Flannel Book." The study aimed to develop "Heni's Dental Flannel Book" media as a health education book and the effectiveness "Heni's Dental Flannel Book" for increasing the dental health care of Early Childhood Education Programs. Research and Development (R & D), there are ten stages of research, namely: information gathering, design models, validation expert, revision, product trial (Pre experiment with one group pre-test post-test, a sample of 15 children), modification, application trial (Quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test nonequivalent control group design, a sample of 20 children in the intervention group and 20 children in the control group, final product revision, production of a product. Data were tested using ANOVA, Shapiro Wilk, Wilcoxon test, Mann-Whitney test. "Heni's Dental Flannel Book" is useful as an effort to increase dental and oral health care for Early Childhood Education Programs, as indicated by a p-value<0.001. Children's knowledge is characterized by a p-value<0.000, a child's attitude is shown by a p-value <0.000. There is a difference in the effectiveness of smart dental books and flipchart in increased dental and oral health care for children with a p-value of <0.000. “Heni’s Dental Flannel Book” effectively improve children's knowledge and attitudes

Abstract

Coronary heart disease is caused by narrowing the coronary arteries due to atherosclerosis or spasms, or a combination of both. A non-surgical intervention to reopen narrowed coronary arteries by Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) and pain is one of the common symptoms. Interventions were carried out to reduce pain by using cold compresses with ice gel. This study aimed to examine the effect of cold compress with ice gel on pain intensity among patients with aff femoral sheath post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). True experimental approach post-test only with control group design was applied in this study. Independent t-test showed a significant difference p-value 0.000 (<0.05) that the pain intensity of the intervention group decreased from 4.53 to 2.40 (p=0.000) with a mean delta value of -2.13. The mean pain intensity control group also reduced from 4.40 to 4.27 (p=0.334) with a mean delta value of -0.13. Conclusion cold compresses with ice gel effectively reduce pain intensity in aff femoral sheath patients with post percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Cold compress (ice gel) is a nurse's independent action to reduce the pain intensity scale and increase comfort during the treatment phase but still requires collaboration with doctors to provide analgesics

Abstract

Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a non-communicable disease caused by failure to pump blood. An alternative treatment with complementary therapies, such as recitation Al-Qur'an intervention and deep breathing exercise, improved oxygen saturation, and anxiety levels CHF patients. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of recitation Al-Qur'an intervention and deep breathing exercises on strengthening the vital signs (oxygen saturation) and anxiety level among patients with congestive heart failure (CHF). The true experimental study approach post-test only with a control group design was applied in this study. Forty congestive heart failure (CHF) patients were selected through simple random sampling. The intervention group received the recitation Al-Qur'an therapy and deep breathing exercise, while the control group only received the medical treatment according to hospital standards. The findings showed that the intervention group was better on oxygen saturation and lowering anxiety levels than the control group (p-value = <0.05). In conclusion, recitation Al-Qur'an intervention and deep breathing exercises are useful to increase oxygen saturation and lowering anxiety levels in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF). This study can be used as a source for further research with larger sample size and better control over medical therapy

Abstract

Abstract

Adolescence is characterized by a period of significant dental caries activity. research has proven that the level of caries in adolescence tends to have a high prevalence. One of the factors causing caries is the lack of awareness of adolescents in maintaining oral and dental hygiene, to increase awareness of adolescents can be done by promoting dental health through dental health education. Conventional dental health education that has been applied only focuses on increasing patient awareness of the severity of a disease problem through providing information/advice. The selection of the right approach in the process of delivering dental health education materials to adolescents is the intervention of the motivational interviewing counselling model. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the motivational interviewing (MI) counselling model to improve teeth brushing practice in adolescents. Research methods research and development (RD) there are five stages of research, namely: information collection, model design, expert validation, and a trial model sample of 80 teenage students. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. Data were tested using intraclass correlation coefficient, paired sample test and independent sample test. The results showed that the motivational interviewing counselling model intervention had the potential to improve teeth brushing skills in adolescents (p=0.001) and reduce plaque index scores (p=0.001). The conclusion shows that the MI counselling model is effective as a method of health education.

Abstract

According to WHO in Indonesia there are 7-10% of children with special needs. Children with special needs have lower levels of dental and oral health and hygiene than normal children. Based on a survey in Velezuelan and a study in Malaysia, autistic children have calculus with poor criteria. Autism is one of the complex disorders of child development. Autistic children have problems with their behavior, one of which is hyperactivity or hyperactivity. Hypnotherapy is a method of treatment and healing commonly known as hypnosis. Hypnosis is one therapy that is expected to reduce the level of hyperactivity and cooperation in autistic children. This study aims to prove the effect of hypnotherapy in the management of scaling in autistic children by increasing children's cooperative attitudes and decreasing calculus index in autistic children. This research is a quasy experiment pre and post-test design ( Non-equivalent Control Group). Respondents amounted to 20 children divided into 2 groups. The data of the model test results were analyzed using paired t tests and independent t tests. Based on the results of the study, the effect of hypnotherapy on increasing the cooperative attitude of autistic children is with (P = 0.000), and decreasing the calculus index with (P = 0.000). And showed the delta value of the child's cooperative attitude (10.100) which was higher than the control group and calculus index (1.166) which was higher than the control group. The influence of hypnotherapy in the management of scaling in autistic children is characterized by an increase in the child's cooperative attitude and a decrease in the calculus index in autistic children.
