Abstract

Ships are units used for transportation, logistics industry, fishing units and so on. In its operations, ships use fuel oil to move and reach their intended destination. The fuel oil used includes heavy fuel oil (HFO), medium fuel oil (MFO), and intermediate fuel oil (IFO). The main factors that affect the high and low use of fuel are rotation (rpm) and also the operating time of the main engine. Flowmeter is a measuring tool to determine the amount of fuel oil consumption in the engine. The function of the flowmeter is to measure the volume of liquid that passes through the device so that the total volume of liquid that enters a container / place or machine is obtained. Flowmeter and Tachometer are very helpful in calculating fuel consumption on board. Basically, with the use of high rotation, it can accelerate the speed of the ship's movement to reach its destination.

Abstract

Contact plate freezer (CPF) is a refrigeration machine unit to freeze products that will certainly maintain product freshness. The cooling system is running smoothly, one thing that should be noted is the cooling load on the contact plate freezer. Cooling load is the amount of heat absorbed per unit of time. Refrigeration cycle at PT. Trimitra Makmur, using a combined refrigeration cycle (multi-stage cycle), using two vapor compression cycles using two single-stage compressors. The two compressors used have the same power of 55.92 kW. As for the main components of the refrigeration system at PT. Trimitra is prosperous, among others: Compressors, condensers, expansion valves, and evaporators. The cooling load on the contact plate freezer consists of product heat load, water heat load, internal heat load, and transmission heat load. In the contact plate freezer, the load of infiltration or heat from the outside air is not calculated because at the time of production the door of the contact plate freezer is closed tightly so the value of air exchange is very small and can be ignored. In this research, it was found that the average total load on contact plate freezer 1 was 23.07079 kW, so that the average total load on all three contact plate freezers at PT. Trimitra Makmur is 69.21237 kW. From the results of data collection and calculation, the COP value in the high-stage cycle is 4.33, so the power of the high-stage compressor used is 1/4.33 of the cooling capacity of the contact plate freezer. While in the booster cycle, a COP value of 6.49 is obtained, so the booster compressor power used is equal to 1/6.49 of the cooling capacity of the contact plate freezer.

Abstract

Kinerja karyawan harus optimal untuk mencapai tujuan perusahaan, sehingga penting untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang nyaman dan tenang. Perusahaan juga harus memperhatikan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja untuk mencegah kecelakaan. Pekerjaan dapat dianggap aman jika dapat menghindari risiko. Proses pembuatan shaft propeller dari stainless steel dengan mesin bubut adalah penting dalam industri kapal. Pontensi bahaya pada proses pembuatan poros propeller muncul pada semua tahapan proses meliputi, Pemindahan material poros propeller, pembubutan, pengeboran, dan penghalusan material poros propeller. Bentuk risiko tersebut diantaranya, cedera fisik karena kontak dengan mesin, cedera otot dan tulang saat mengangkat material, serta paparan debu logam dan kebisingan yang dapat membahayakan kesehatan. Analisis yang dihasilkan dari identifikasi variasi risiko yang memiliki nilai tertinggi dengan menggunakan metode Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Determining Control (HIRADC) ada beberapa bahaya yang teridentifikasi meliputi risiko tertimpa benda berat, paparan benda tajam, cedera pada mata, iritasi, kontak dengan mesin bergerak, gangguan pendengaran, serta luka dan memar. Dalam pengukuran risiko, ditemukan bahwa nilai tertinggi mencapai 6, sementara nilai terendah adalah 1. Hasil dari studi ini memberikan pemahaman yang penting mengenai keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja di workshop dalam proses pembuatan poros propeller.
