Abstract

Pupil Distance (PD) is measured in millimetres and even a slight variation can cause a number of vision and eye health problems due to inacurately fitting of Distance Vitror (DV). PD must be paralel to DV, therefore PD measurements must be committed throughtly. It requires comprehensive knowledge and technical skill. With the popularity of buying glasses online, a number of websites have come up with do-it-yourself measurements or apps that will take this measurement for you. The problem is that these are not scientifically accurate measurements and are not being performed by professionals. There is a large margin of error and buyers could end up with glasses that hurt their vision—not correct it.This research is aimed to show ideal procedure that must be committed in producing glasses to avoid inacurate PD measurement. The researcher uses library aprroach to gain related data and informations, then discuss the problem and solution in descriptive approach.

Abstract

This study aims to find out benefit checking refraction from an elementary school. This study uses a qualitative method, the population in this study are parents who have elementary school children in Pamulang, with a sample of 5 parents who check their children at Optik Kita Pamulang. Data collection is done by interview and documentation, interviews were conducted with 5 people interviewees. The results of this study indicate that 4 resource persons think that early refraction examination is very important to do, 1 resource person considers it normal. Only 2 resource persons examined their children based on the initiative as a preventative measure for refractive errors, the other 3 carried out examinations after experiencing symptoms.

Abstract

Auto groover is a tool used to produce lenses with hidden bevels so that there are parts of the rope tied to the resulting bevel and are used on semi rimless or half frame types. This can be affected by the thickness and curvature of the lens, so this study wants to prove how exactly are polycarbonate lenses made with good bevels. This research uses a descriptive method. The initial screening was conducted by reading the titles and abstracts by using search engine with keyword “Polycarbonate Lens AND Bevel Type AND Autogroover” in the journals ScieneDirect, Plos One, and in Bahasa Google Scholar. Based on the results of the journal search it was concluded that making bevels in an optical dispensing laboratory using an autogroover machine requires high precision and skill from practitioners so that glasses can be produced according to the type of frame chosen by the patient.
