Abstract

The design of this fitness center is motivated by everyone's need for a balanced state of mind, body and soul. Through these needs, people are starting to realize that they need to come back and start a holistic lifestyle. The purpose of this design is to provide a place that facilitates wellness-based activities in one place by paying attention to the interaction between space and nature. By utilizing the connection between humans and nature, the wellness center is planned to use the concept of biophilic architecture because it is synonymous with good natural use patterns and the use of design methods by utilizing 5 natural elements as the design method.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Improving health and body fitness during the COVID-19 pandemic has become a concern for many people to survive. Starting at the end of 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic hit the whole world, including Indonesia. Many prevention methods have been carried out to avoid exposure to this virus, such as using masks, keeping a distance from other people, maintaining cleanliness, and doing activities at home. However, now the pandemic period has passed and has been replaced by a post-pandemic policy, namely the new normal so that we can return to doing activities outside the home, especially recreation. Health and wellness tourism is a resort object based on education, recreation, exercise and sports for the purpose of improving health and body fitness. The background is post-pandemic and applies the concept of public health to avoid exposure to COVID-19. As well as with a sustainable architecture design strategy through environmentally friendly designs.

Abstract

The Indonesian Red Cross, which is often known by the abbreviation PMI, is a national association organization located in Indonesia and engaged in the humanitarian field. The activity that was first carried out by PMI was to help victims of the Indonesian Revolutionary War of Independence and return victims of Allied and Japanese prisoners of war so that the Indonesian Red Cross has gained international recognition. The purpose of the design this time is "How to design the Muara Teweh Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) building which is able to fulfill the activities of the volunteers and their working staff by providing assistance and blood services to the people in the city of Muara Teweh which are appropriate and make rooms with adequate facilities ?”. Abstract

Toko Tani Indonesia Center (TTIC) is a work program from the Department of Agriculture and Food Security in which several activities are carried out, these activities are in the form of buying and selling food ingredients and distributing cultivation results from TTIC. The problem with Toko Tani Indonesia Center in Banjarbaru City is that there are many changes in the function of the space over time. Changes in the function of this space could become an obstacle in carrying out TTIC activities for some time to come. The use of programming methods that include analysis of actors, activities and their environment to achieve a spatial program that suits the building object and the facade design from the Neo Vernacular concept can be the outer appearance of this building object. It is hoped that the design of Toko Tani Indonesia Center will facilitate the activities of the actors inside and can attract people from the shape of the building's design.

Abstract

This study examines the design of the Siring Laut Library in Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan, using a metaphorical architecture approach. Located in a strategic area of ​​Siring Laut which is the center of community activities, this library is designed to overcome the challenge of low interest in library visits in the area. With an area of ​​9,442.46 km² and a population of 290,142, Kotabaru presents significant opportunities for the development of innovative libraries that are inclusive and culturally diverse. The design method uses a metaphorical architecture approach to create buildings that are not only functional, but also have deep meaning for the local community. The main concepts include inclusivity, comfort, flexibility of space, and integration with the beauty of the surrounding nature. The building design is inspired by the shape of an open book, symbolizing the openness of knowledge. The design results include clear zoning, the use of modern technology to improve services, and the selection of materials that are appropriate to the conditions of the coastal environment. This library is expected to be an inspiring learning center, arousing a sense of pride in regional literacy, and becoming a catalyst for increasing the reading interest of the Kotabaru community.

Abstract

Lingkungan belajar yang aman, nyaman, dan edukatif merupakan faktor penting dalam mendukung perkembangan anak usia dini. Namun, masih banyak taman kanak-kanak yang menghadapi keterbatasan infrastruktur dan fasilitas pendukung pembelajaran. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di TK ABA Rahmaniah Banjarbaru dengan tujuan meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan sekolah melalui rehabilitasi atap dan plafon toilet, penggantian loker siswa yang rusak, serta optimalisasi halaman sekolah menjadi area bermain interaktif yang mendukung perkembangan motorik dan kemampuan kognitif anak. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi yang dilakukan secara kolaboratif bersama pihak sekolah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan fungsi fasilitas sekolah, terciptanya lingkungan belajar yang lebih aman dan tertata, serta meningkatnya pemanfaatan halaman sekolah sebagai media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Program ini tidak hanya memberikan dampak langsung bagi sekolah, tetapi juga memperkuat peran perguruan tinggi dalam mendukung pengembangan masyarakat berbasis kebutuhan nyata.
