Abstract

Abstrak: Upaya pelestarian dan pemeliharaan lingkungan agar terbebas dari limbah yaitu dengan cara pengolahan limbah dengan pola 3R. Konsep 3R mendorong masyarakat melakukan penanganan limbah dari sumbernya seperti pemilahan limbah dan pengemasan limbah dengan benar, mendorong penerapan konsep pemanfaatan sampah yang memiliki nilai ekonomi. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dengan tema ”Berkarya Tanpa Batas” merupakan kegiatan pengolahan limbah organik dan limbah anorganik yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kreatifitas masyarakat dalam penanganan limbah sehingga menambah wawasan masyarakat terhadap limbah yang dibuat dapat dijadikan kerajinan yang mempunyai nilai seni atau trash mode. Produk olahan sampah organik dan anorganik masyarakat terdiri dari tas dan bunga yang terbuat dari plastik. Sementara itu, kulit daun bawang putih diolah menjadi bunga. Pengolahan batok kelapa menjadi celengan, gelas, gantungan kunci, sendok, dan souvenir lainnya. Abstract: Efforts to preserve and preserve the environment so that it is free from waste is by way of waste treatment with the 3R pattern. The concept of 3R encourages people to handle waste from its source such as waste segregation and packaging of waste properly, encouraging the application of the concept of using waste that has economic value. Community Service with the theme "Working Without Borders" is an organic waste and inorganic waste treatment activity that aims to improve the skills and creativity of the community in handling waste so as to increase people's insight into the waste that can be made into handicrafts that have artistic value or trash mode. The processed organic and inorganic waste products of the community consist of bags and flowers made of plastic. Meanwhile, the skin of garlic leaves is processed into flowers. Processing coconut shells into piggy banks, cups, key chains, spoons, and other souvenirs.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan pengabdian pada masayarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru Biologi tentang materi dan konsep IPA, dan meningkatkan kreatifitas serta menemukan cara-cara pendekatan pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif sehingga materi mudah dimengerti oleh siswa, membantu guru mendiskusikan topik-topik yang kurang dipahami siswa sehingga guru bisa secara bersama-sama merencanakan pembelajaran yang lebih baik. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan/penyuluhan berupa penguatan materi terutama di laboratorium, memberikan stimulasi kepada guru bagaimana mengembangkan ide dan pendekatan-pendekatan kreatif yang dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep yang diajarkan guru, membantu guru yang akan mengikuti ujian kompetensi guru agar lebih siap dan dan lebih memahami materi yang mungkin diujikan sebagai persiapan sertifikasi. Kegiatan PPM yang sudah dilakukan yaitu persiapan dengan mengadakan pertemuan dengan pihak Diknas Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan untuk memantapkan proses pelaksanaan dengan mendatangkan guru-guru IPA SMP sebanyak 20 Orang yang berasal dari berbagai kecamatan yang ada di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Hasil analisis angket kompetensi guru-guru IPA didapat informasi pada aspek perencanaan memperoleh 68,74% dengan criteria cukup, hal yang sama terjadi pada evaluasi dengan nilai 65,65%. Sementara itu pada aspek pelaksanaan memperoleh 85,93% dengan criteria Baik sekali. Abstract: The purpose of this community service is to increase the understanding of Biology teachers about the material and concepts of science, and increase creativity and find ways of learning approaches that are creative and innovative so that the material is easily understood by students, helping teachers discuss topics that are less understood by students so that teachers can together plan better learning. Approach is done by providing training / counseling in the form of strengthening the material, especially in the laboratory, stimulating the teacher how to develop ideas and creative approaches that can help students understand the concepts taught by the teacher, help the teacher to be take the teacher competency test to be better prepared and understand better the material that might be tested in preparation for certification. PPM activities that have been carried out are preparations by holding a meeting with the Department of Education in the South Coastal District to strengthen the implementation process by bringing in 20 junior high school science teachers from various sub-districts in the South Coastal District. The results of the questionnaire analysis of the competence of natural science teachers obtained information on the planning aspects obtained 68.74% with sufficient criteria, the same thing happened in the evaluation with a value of 65.65%. Meanwhile in the aspect of implementation gained 85.93% with the criteria Very Good.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the community structure of phytoplankton in ex-gold mining ponds for fish farming in Nagari Muaro, Sijunjung District, Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra. The method used is a descriptive survey. Purposive sampling was done by determining the location of the phytoplankton sampling. The results showed that there were three divisions of phytoplankton (Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta and Crysophyta) and 17 genera. The highest relative abundance (KR) was found in the Pediastrum genus of 22.9 with an average diversity index of 3.72, an evenness index of 0.72 and a dominance index of 0.16. The results of the measurement of physical factors, namely the average turbidity of 3.53 NTU, the average water temperature of 32oC and the average water pH of 6. The results of the measurement of the chemical factors of the average water are DO of water of 5.15 ppm, BOD = 1.77 ppm, COD = 26.45 ppm, CO2 = 18.29 ppm and measured levels of mercury (Hg) ranged from 0 – 0.05 ppm. In conclusion, the abundance of phytoplankton is in the low category with a moderate diversity index and the waters are classified as stable. Abstract

This study aims to determine the external factors and internal factors that cause learning difficulties and their relationship with the learning outcomes of Biology class XI IPA MAN 3 Padang. The change in the online learning process to offline learning since the Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on external factors and internal factors that cause learning difficulties that affect student learning outcomes. This type of research is descriptive with quantitative research methods. The study was carried out at MAN 3 Padang with a population of 165 students of class XI science who were registered in the even semester of the academic year 2021/2022, with a sample of 33 students. The sampling technique is random sampling, which is done randomly, using an error rate of 5%. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire containing statements of external factors and internal factors of students' learning difficulties using a Likert scale, and documents on students' learning outcomes for Biology in the even mid-semester exams for the 2021/2022 academic year. From the results of the study, it is known that the level of learning difficulties for external factors obtained an average value of 3.52 in the high category, while the level of learning difficulties for internal factors had an average value of 3.26 in the high category. The results of the Pearson product moment correlation test using the SPSS 20 program obtained a value on the external factor of 0.073 which is strongly correlated and the form of the relationship is negative and the internal factor has a value of 0.910 which is perfectly correlated with the negative relationship between external factors and internal factors with Biology learning outcomes in students. class XI IPA MAN 3 Padang. The results of the t test showed that the external factor tcount was -1.853 and the internal factor tcount was -113 indicating that there was no influence of external factors and internal factors (X) on students’ Biology learning outcomes (Y).

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the structure of zooplankton communities in former gold mining ponds for fish cultivation in Nagari Muaro, Sijunjung District, Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra. The research method used is a descriptive survey. Determining the location for sampling zooplankton was carried out using purposive sampling. The research results showed that the overall abundance of zooplankton was found to be 18.2 ind/l, consisting of 4 phyla and several genera or types. The phyla found were, a) the Protozoa phylum with 2 genera, namely Astramoeba and the Arcella genus with an abundance of 3.2 ind/l; b) the Rotifera phylum consists of 7 genera, namely the genus Branchinus, Lycane, Keratella, Notholca, Trichoyria, Polymerurus, and the genus Habrotrocha with an abundance of 5.4 ind/l; c) phylum Crustaceae, 3 genera, namely Nauplius, Cyclops, and Daphnia with an abundance of 9.5 ind/l; d) the phylum Arthropoda has 1 genus, namely Chironomus with an abundance of 0.1 ind/l. The highest abundance was found in the phylum Crustaceae. The zooplankton diversity index at the three stations has an average value of 2.08, the evenness index has an average value of 0.83, and the zooplankton dominance index has an average value of 0.16. The results of measuring physical factors are the average turbidity of 3.53 NTU, the average water temperature is 32oC, and the average pH of water is 6. The results of measuring the average water chemical factors are water DO of 5.15 ppm, BOD of 1.77 ppm , COD was 26.45 ppm, CO2 levels were 18.29 ppm, and measured mercury (Hg) levels ranged from 0 – 0.03 ppm. Conclusion, based on the abundance of zooplankton found, the pond waters are classified as mesotrophic with a moderate level of fertility diversity.
