Abstract

The development of learning tools is one of the abilities that must be possessed by teachers in each education unit in order to develop students' abilities in carrying out research-based learning. One tool that can support this goal is a learning tool based on research-based learning models with a scientific approach. The purpose of this study is to develop high school physics learning tools using a lerning based research model with a scientific approach with valid, practical and effective criteria. The type of research used is research and development. The results of research on the analysis of students obtained that class students have been able to develop the ability to solve problems. In the validity test obtained an average percentage of RPP 85.79%, an average handout of 85.68%, an average LKS of 86.20%, and an average rating of 87.50%. Practicality test results obtained an average percentage of the implementation of the RPP is 89.16%, the average teacher response questionnaire 90.83%, and the average student questionnaire response 88.33%. Furthermore, the results of the effectiveness test were obtained from an attitude competency assessment with an average of 86.50%, an average assessment of knowledge competence 87.50%, an average competency assessment of 89.50%. The research shows that the High School Physics Learning Tool uses a research-based learning model using a Scientific approach to the material characteristics of waves which are in the category of very valid, very practical, and very effective so that it is feasible to be applied in the learning process.

Abstract

The role of creativity in learning is more associated with problem-solving activities, meaning that creativity is measured through the ability of students to approach and solve problems. However, the PBL model has not been implemented optimally by the teacher, so that the problem solving ability and learning achievement of students have not been optimally stimulated. This research study is proposed to develop a model of Problem-Based Learning to stimulate the improvement of the skill of problem solving in physics learning for students of Senior High School. The development of Problem-Based Learning model for physics learning applied the ADDIE model. The form of observation sheets, questionnaires and question sheets were used as the instrument of data collection. The product was validated by the experts and tested on the eleventh grade students of SMA 9 Padang with a value of 3.85 very valid categories.The practicality of the learning model was determined by the implementation of learning, teacher’s response and students’ response with a value of 3.73 with category done. The effectiveness of the learning model was determined by student activities, problem solving skills and knowledge aspect. show that Asymp.C. 001 <0.05 means that Ho is rejected. The research has found a Problem-Based Learning model for physics learning which is abbreviated with the problem based learning model to physics learning (PBL-PL) . The findings indicated that the Problem-Based Learning model can stimulate the improvement of students' problem solving skills for Physics learning in Senior High School. For this reason, it is recommended for the teachers and prospective teachers to apply the Problem-Based Learning model for Physics learning in Senior High School.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perbaikan dalam proses pembelajaran, mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dan melakukan pengembangan keterampilan guru melalui model pembelajaran PBL dengan pendekatan Keterampilan proses sains yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada pembelajaran IPA siswa kelas VI SD Negeri 16 Kota Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Tiap siklus diawali dengan perencanaan,tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 jenis yaitu pedoman observasi guru, angket respon peserta didik dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model Pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses sains pada siklus I dan II mengalami peningkatan, di mana nilai rata-rata pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata 73 dan pada siklus II rata-rata 83. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan model Pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses sains dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VI SD Negeri 09 Kota Padang

Abstract

The results of an interview with one of the teachers at SD 44 Kalumbuk told that teaching various science materials during the Normal period used picture media, while during the Covid-19 Pandemic the teacher used the WA application, making it difficult for the teacher to explain the material directly to students. A learning media application is needed to deliver science material. This research aims to produce learning media through the Lectora Inspire application that is valid and practical based on inquiry in Science Theme 6 class IV My Dreams at SD Negeri 44 Kalumbuk. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development). The research model used is the 4-D type, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. In this study, it only reached the development stage due to time constraints and the spread of the Corona Covid-19 virus. This research was conducted in the even semesters of the 2020/2021 school year. Based on the results of the Material Validation Test, Design and Language. Lectora Inspire media is very valid to use. Overall, the results of the Validation Test with a percentage of 91.36% are at the number 3.53 with the very valid and feasible category. The media design validation test was at a percentage of 85.7%, the material validation was 97.5%, while the language validation test was at a percentage of 90.9%. Can be used in class IV Animal Life Cycle Material Theme 6 My Dreams. Whereas in the Practicality Test of student responses, with the subject of fourth grade students of SDN 44 Kalumbuk, Padang city, totaling 30 students, were at a percentage of 94.58% and the teacher's response with 2 observers was 97.33% in the category of very practical. Overall, Inquiry-based Lectora Inspire learning media is very valid and very practical to use in grade IV SDN 44 Kalumbuk with the theme 6 My Dreams Subtema 2 Amazingly My Dreams.

Abstract

Peran kreativitas dalam pembelajaran paling sering dikaitkan dengan aktivitas pemecahan masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan dari model yang dikembangkan yaitu model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM). Penelitian ini adalah research and development (R&D). Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan menggunakan angket yang diberikan kepada guru dan siswa, sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 30 orang siswa dan 3 orang guru. Data pada instrumen angket uji kepraktisan yang telah diisi kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan melakukan perhitungan skor total untuk seluruh indikator yang kemudian dianalisis dengan rumus untuk menganalisis nilai kepraktisannya. Berdasarkan hasil uji kepraktisan dapat diketahui bahwa model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis yaitu dengan keterlaksanaan model  3,73; praktikalitas model menurut guru 0,82; sedangkan menurut siswa  dengan nilai 0,93. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh bahwa model PBM memenuhi kriteria sangat praktis baik dari aspek keterlaksanaan model maupun dari respon guru dan siswa. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah dengan model pembelajaran ini memberi kesempatan kepada siswa untuk terlibat aktif dalam menemukan cara yang produktif untuk beradaptasi, memodifikasi dan membangun pengetahuan pokok serta keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Siswa menggambarkan masalah spesifik, lalu mencoba untuk menyelesaikannya dengan katalain siswa dapat memahami dan menyimpulkan sebuah masalah atau menemukan pola lain untuk menyelesaikan masalah. The role of creativity in learning is most often associated with problem-solving activities. The collection technique used a questionnaire given to teachers and students, and the samples used were 30 students and three teachers. The data on the completed practicality test questionnaire instrument was then analyzed quantitatively by calculating the total score for all indicators, which was then analyzed using a formula to determine the practicality value. Based on the results of the practicality test, it can be seen that the learning model developed is included in the very practical category, namely the Implementation Model 3.73; the practicality of the model, according to the teacher, is 0.82 while according to the students it is 0.93. Based on the analysis above, the problem-based learning model meets the very practical criteria, both from the implementation aspect of the model and from the teacher and student responses. This research implies that this learning model provides opportunities for students to be actively involved in finding productive ways to adapt, modify and build basic knowledge and problem-solving skills. Students describe a specific problem and then try to solve it; in other words, students can understand and conclude a problem or find other patterns to solve the problem.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the community structure of phytoplankton in ex-gold mining ponds for fish farming in Nagari Muaro, Sijunjung District, Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra. The method used is a descriptive survey. Purposive sampling was done by determining the location of the phytoplankton sampling. The results showed that there were three divisions of phytoplankton (Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta and Crysophyta) and 17 genera. The highest relative abundance (KR) was found in the Pediastrum genus of 22.9 with an average diversity index of 3.72, an evenness index of 0.72 and a dominance index of 0.16. The results of the measurement of physical factors, namely the average turbidity of 3.53 NTU, the average water temperature of 32oC and the average water pH of 6. The results of the measurement of the chemical factors of the average water are DO of water of 5.15 ppm, BOD = 1.77 ppm, COD = 26.45 ppm, CO2 = 18.29 ppm and measured levels of mercury (Hg) ranged from 0 – 0.05 ppm. In conclusion, the abundance of phytoplankton is in the low category with a moderate diversity index and the waters are classified as stable. Abstract

The 21st century learning must develop the students' 21st century competencies, including aspects of knowledge, students' problem solving skills, and science process skills. These student skills need to be widely developed in science learning to face the challenges of the century. This study aimed to determine the effect of PBL on students' 21st century skills. The study method was quasi-experimental, using a posttest only randomized control group design. Data analysis used a comparison test of two sample groups and the Mann-Whitney U test. The analysis results of student science process activities were 84% in the very active category, while problem solving skills were 0.001 < 0.05 and 0.000 < 0.05 at SMA N 8 and SMA N 9 Padang. Meanwhile, the analysis results of the knowledge aspect data obtained 0.000 <0.05 and 0.000 <0.05 at SMA N 8 and SMA N 9 Padang with the conclusion that Ho was rejected, and it means that in the problem solving aspect and the knowledge aspect there was an influence of PBL on student 21st century skills in the aspects of knowledge, skills problem solving, and students' science process skills.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of Emotional Intelligence on physical education learning outcomes during the pandemic. This type of quantitative research uses a correlation research design with a causal associative method. The population in this study amounted to 62 people. The sampling technique used total sampling technique, which is a sampling technique that provides equal opportunities for each element/member of the population to be selected as a member of the sample, while the number of samples in this study was 62 people. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by multiple regression of two predictors. Based on the results of data analysis shows that: Variable emotional intelligence has a significant effect on learning outcomes of physical education. This means that the higher the emotional intelligence, the better the physical education learning outcomes. Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Learning Motivation and Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the video-assisted Problem-based learning (PBL) model on cognitive and psychomotor aspects of learning outcomes in the question-and-answer indicators in science learning for Class V students at SD Negeri 31 Payakumbuh. This type of research is an experiment with a "posttest-only control design". The population in this study were all fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 31 Payakumbuh for the 2022/2020 academic year. The sampling technique is Total Sampling. The research instrument was in the form of valid, reliable student science learning test questions, and student learning questionnaires on psychomotor aspects. Data on student learning outcomes were analyzed using the t-test at the 5% test level. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the Video Assisted Problem Based Learning Model on Science Learning Outcomes of Class V Students, in a statistical test t hit > t tab, namely 2.30 > 2.01. the average cognitive aspect of learning outcomes in the experimental class was 82.43 and in the control class 73.03. The science learning outcomes of students in the psychomotor aspect on the indicator asking the experimental class were 65.32% and the control was 59.80%, and the indicator answering the experimental class was 83.06% and the control was 75%. It can be concluded that the application of the video-assisted Problem-Based Learning model has an effect on the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 31 Payakumbuh in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. It is suggested that teachers who teach science in elementary schools can apply the video-assisted Problem-Based Learning model to different science materials to improve the learning process.
