Abstract

ABSTRACT The policy of National Development in Education, especially for University, is more capable done by doing education research and investigation in science and technology (IPTEK). It could give service to the society which useful and neded for support the  development. Basides the policy is also guided to make an improvement of the revelance and quality of the service to society by implementing and spreading applied research, investigation and applied technology to use in a productive activity and to improve the quality of society living but also to give more experience to the university about the real problems faced by society. Such effort to rely government policy is by holding program sinergi Pemberdayaan Potensi Masyarakat (SIBERMAS), which involving some universities i.e. Slamet Riyadi University Surakarta, Veteran Pembangunan Nasional University Yogyakarta and Sukoharjo Local Government (PEKMKAB Sukoharjo). This implementation of SIBERMAS program is done on there village i.e. Polokarto Sukoharjo, Central Java, by involving lecturer staffs from any subjects according to skills needed students and technical teams from some Departements in its implementation. The methods used in SIBERMAS program is PACA (Participatory Appraisal Competitive Advantage) / (PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal). The program is started with axploratory research that is to know all about the situation of location  according to the people live there. To implement the priority program of the the firs year i.e. to socialize the empower program of the family productive economy the training and cultivating  corn mango and non pesticide vegetables. The training about processing mango, natural solid liquid fertilizer, study about partnership transfer of technology and aids of applied technology tools. The training about production management and marketing to practive and evaluate the selling of natural fertilizer and non pesticide products. The result of society serice in SIBERMAS shows that there cooperation in solving the district/local problems and creating new trade opportunity based  on the available potential between the universities and socientes in developing out nation through society empowering in creating entreneurship culture. Abstract

Wijen (Sesamum indicum L.) adalah komoditas perkebunan rakyat potensial sebagai sumber minyak pangan yang banyak dibutuhkan, dan mempunyai potensi agroindustri cerah untuk bahan pangan dan bahan dasar produk farmasi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemupukan terhadap produksi dan kandungan minyak wijen serta kelayakan usaha tani di lahan pasir pantai. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Purworejo, Jawa Tengah, bulan Juni hingga Desember 2011. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok faktorial dengan dua faktor dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah pemupukan, yakni kontrol, pupuk kandang sapi 10 ton/ha, NPK rekomendasi (100:100:50), pupuk kandang sapi 7,5 ton/ha + 25% NPK, pupuk kandang sapi 5 ton/ha + 50% NPK, dan pupuk kandang sapi 2,5 ton/ha + 75% NPK. Faktor kedua adalah varietas, yakni Sumberrejo-1, Sumberrejo-2, dan Lokal hitam. Variabel yang diamati meliputi: tinggi tanaman, umur berbunga, umur panen, berat biji per tanaman, berat 1.000 biji, dan kadar minyak. Parameter kelayakan usaha meliputi internal rate of return (IRR), benefit and cost ratio (B/C ratio), dan payback period (PP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh interaksi perlakuan pemupukan dan varietas. Umur berbunga tercepat 45 hari pada perlakuan kontrol. Umur panen hampir sama, yakni 105 hari. Kadar minyak total tertinggi 51,73% pada perlakuan pemupukan organik (pupuk kandang sapi) 10 ton/ha. Varietas unggul wijen Sumberrejo-1 dan Sumberrejo-2 memberikan produksi dan kadar minyak yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan varietas lokal. Budi daya wijen di lahan pasir pantai dengan menerapkan pemupukan organik memberikan kelayakan eko-nomi yang prospektif dan efisien, khususnya pada perlakuan pupuk kandang sapi 10 ton/ha dengan varietas Sumberrejo-2, dengan B/C Ratio 1,91, IRR 48%, dan PP 0,5. Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) is a potential commodities as source of food oil, and has a high potential for agro-food industry and pharmaceutical products. This study was aimed to evaluate the effect of fertilizer on the production and seed oil content of sesame and the feasibility of cultivation in the sandy coastal land. This study conducted in Purworejo, Central Java, from June to December 2011. The experiment was arranged in factorial randomized block design with two factors, repeated three times. The first factor is fertilization: control, cow manure 10 ton/ha, NPK 100:100:50, cow manure 7.5 ton/ha + 25% NPK, cow manure 5 ton/ha + 50% NPK, and cow manure 2.5 ton/ha + 75% NPK. The second factor is the variety: Sumberrejo-1, Sumberrejo-2, and local black sesame. Variables observed were: plant height, days to flowering, day of harvest, seed weight, weight of 1,000 seeds, and seed oil content, as well as economic indicators (B/C ratio, IRR, and payback period). The result of study showed that no interaction effect between fertilization and variety. The fastest flowering (45 days) was on the control treatment. The age of harvest was almost the same, 105 days. Highest total seed oil content, 51.73%, obtained in the treatment of organic fertilizer 10 ton/ha. Sumberrejo-1 and Sumberrejo-2 provide production and seed oil content higher than those local varieties. Sesame cultivation in sandy coastal land provides prospective economic feasibiility and efficience, especially by applying organic fertilizer on Sumberrejo-2, with the achievements of B/C Ratio 1.91; IRR of 48%, and payback period of 0.5.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk urea, pengaruh pupuk hayati biotamax, dan pengaruh interaksi terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman Garut. Rancangan baku yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Faktor 1 adalah pupuk hayati custombio dengan 2 taraf dan faktor 2 adalah dosis pupuk urea dengan 5 taraf.Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam, dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata jujur (BNJ) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk urea berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun per tanaman, luas daun, dan berat umbi per rumpun; pemberian pupuk hayati biotamax berpengaruh terbaik terhadap jumlah daun per tanaman, luas daun, dan berat umbi per rumpun; dosis pupuk urea terbaik adalah 350 kg/ha; dan interaksi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman garutKata Kunci : pupuk urea, biotamax, pertumbuhan, hasil, garut

Abstract

Abstract Traditional breeding cow has varied productivity. This is because the effects of environtment. Among them is the difference of feed condition. Generally, traditional cattle breeders only give greens as main diet.  The use of greens such as paddy straws and grass as cow feeding is an abundant and potential source and energy. However, because of its low nutrient content and high bycomponents, the use of paddy straw needs to be effective. One of the alternatives is by mixing concentrate so that a balance diet can be achieved to enhance the cattle productivity.  Concentrate as a stimulant diet contains high nutrient. Because the high price of concentrate , it is suggested that is should be replaced by other effective and available concentrate such as cow concentrate. The research was conducted in Desa Mranggen, Kecamatan Polokarto, Kabupaten SUkoharjo which was selected from SIBERMAS program from January until September 2008. Treatments consist of A: fermented paddy straw without the adding of Urea Molasses Block (UMB), B: Fermented paddy straw with Urea Molsses Block. Each treatment consists of 5 time repetition – with test analysis. Parameter that was investigated in this research was the increase of daily weight. It was gathered from the last weight minus the first weight divided by length of breeding. Diet conversion counted by the amount of consumption feeding (gram/cattle/day) with increased weight (gram/cattle/day), feed cost per gain counted by the total amount of feeding cost divided by average increase weight. From this research, it can be concluded that by using fermented straw added by urea molasses block of 3.5 ky/day give significant performance on cow growth. Abstract

Coastal sandy land as one of marginal land which potential become to be a sustainable productive land. Annual crops such as Sesame cultivation proper to developed as an agribusiness crops in coastal sandy land by chicken manure, or organic fertilizer and in organic fertilizer through the combination treatment of manure and inorganic proportionately. This study aimed to determine the best of time for fertilize on growth and yield of Sesame (Sesamum indicum L). This study conducted in Keburuhan, Purworejo, Coastal sandy land, Gadjah Mada's Agricultural station laboratory, from May until November 2014. This study used a factorial experiment Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four replications. Experiment arranged in with two-factor. First factor is the kind of variety: Sumberrejo-1, Sumberrejo-2. The second factor is, time of fertilize by chicken manure 11,25 tonnes/ha (75% of farmers recommendation)+inorganic fertilizers (N, P, K deficiency replacement dose equivalent to 18,75 tonnes/ha of chicken manure. Variable observed were: plant height, days to flowering, number of branch, root volume. The data analyzed by using analysis of variance at 5% level significance. Abstract

This study aimed to know the growth andyield of Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) in quantity and quality through the combination treatment of manureand inorganic proportionately which refers to the dose and type of manure elected. Phase II studyconducted in a polybag, for planting. This study conducted in Banguntapan Yogyakarta, Agricultural stationlab. from September ‐ December 2012 aimed to determine the proportion of fertilizer best combinationof sesame results based on the dose of manure was selected from the results of the Phase I study(chicken manure 30 t / ha).This study used a factorial experiment (7 X 2) were prepared by completely randomized design (CRD)with repetition three times. Experiment arranged in factorial with two‐factor, repeated three times. Firstfactor is combination of manure and inorganic fertilizer (K), there are 7 types: (Sandy Land media: K0 1.Chicken manure 30 t / ha: K1, 2. Chicken manure 15 tonnes / ha (100% recommendation farmers) + inorganicfertilizers (N, P, K deficiency is equivalent to substitute 15 tonnes / ha of chicken manure): K2, 3.chicken manure 11.25 tonnes / ha (75% of farmers recommendation) + inorganic fertilizers (N, P, K deficiencyreplacement dose equivalent to 18.75 tonnes / ha of cow manure): K3 4. chicken manure 7.5 t / ha(50% of farmers recommendation) + inorganic fertilizers (N, P, K deficiency replacement dose equivalentto 22.5 tonnes / ha of chicken manure): K4 ,5. chicken manure 3.75 t / ha (25% of farmers recommendation)+ inorganic fertilizers (N, P, K deficiency replacement dose equivalent to 26.25 tonnes / ha of chickenmanure): K5 ,6. inorganic fertilizers (N, P, K deficiency replacement dose is equivalent to 30 tons / ha ofchicken manure): K6.Second factor is the variety: Sumberrejo‐1, Sumberrejo‐2, Variable observed were:plant height, days to flowering, day of harvest, seed weight per plant, weight of 1000 seeds, and seed oilcontent. The data analyzed by Anova 5%, with further testing Duncan 5%. The results showed The fastestflowering (45 days) was on the control treatment. The age of harvest is almost the same, 105 days. Abstract

One of the obstacles in cultivation are appropriate planting medium condition, which is supported by the availability of water and nutrients for plants. In order to increase crop productivity needs the technology applied to the condition of the growing media physically, Thursday and biological met for plant growth and development through the use of ground-based pembenah teacup potential for improvement of the growing media / Biological Soil Amendments. So as to optimize the planting medium to improving the properties of soil physical, chemical, biological, can hold water and provide nutrients, which then make it as a source of plant needs in a sustainable manner on a sesame plant. This study will be conducted at the experiment station. FP Unisri in March to September 2016. The design used was completely randomized design (CRD) factorial with four replications. Factors such treatment of a wide variety and combination pembenah ground sesame dregs of tea. The varieties used are Winas Winas 1 and 2. Combination pembenah latosol soil to soil type, in the form of tea waste consists of five types (control, 200 g teacup, tea dregs 300 g, 200g + manure 100 g, 300 g teacup + 100 g manure). The observations made are: observation of soil fertility, physiological and agronomic parameters. The results show that research, plant growth winas Winas 1 and 2 provide real results against a control. The dose of 200 g teacup + 100 g manure gives the best result for plant growth and Winas sesame Winas 1 2Keywords: tea dregs, Biological Soil Amendments, observations of soil fertility, physiological and agronomic parameters.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian dengan tujuan menghasilkan paket teknologi aplikatif dalam  budidaya wijen melalui ameliorasi bahan organik dan unsur Mg , S telah dilaksanakan di Lahan Pasir pantai Keburuhuan Purworejo, tahun 2012. Lahan pasir dengan produktivitas yang rendah, dicirikan oleh bahan penyusun tanah yang dominan (>80%) terdiri dari pasir sehingga ketersediaan air dan unsur hara tanaman sangat rendah. Untuk itu diperlukan amelioran bahan organik guna perbaikan  media tanam dengan pupuk organik. Selain itu diperlukan penambahan unsur Mg dan S, guna meningkatkan kandungan minyak. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap dengan 3 kali ulangan. Dengan dua faktor Macam Bahan Organik dan dosis. Faktor Macam Bahan Organik meliputi : B0 = Kontrol, B1 = Bahan organik dari kotoran ayam, B2 = Bahan organik dari kotoran ternak sapi, B3 = Bahan organik dari sersah daun dan sekam dan jerami. Dosis yang diterapkan meliputi: D0 = Kontrol U1 :  Hara Mg 0,2 gr, D1 = 10 ton/ha U2 : Hara S 0,4 gr, D2 = 15 ton/ha, D3 = 20 ton/ha. Dari tiga  faktor penelitian tersebut diperoleh 32 variasi perlakuan, adapun varietas yang digunakan adalah : SBR 4. Variabel dan analisis pertumbuhan tanaman meliputi: tinggi tanaman, jumlah bunga, umur berbunga, berat biji per tanaman, jumlah polong per tanaman,  jumlah biji per polong, umur panen, dan kadar minyak. Ameliorasi menggunakan pupuk kandang ayam dengan dosis 15 ton /ha, dengan penambahan Mg dan S dalam budidaya wijen di lahan pasir pantai mampu  meningkatkan kadar minyak total sebesar 15%.   Key Word :  Ameliorasi, Lahan pasir pantai, Bahan organik, varietas  wijen. Production of Sesame (Sesamum indicum l.) by organic amelioration, Mg and S  in the Sandy land ABSTRACT Research with the goal of producing the package of applied technology in the cultivation of sesame through amelioration of organic matter and the elements Mg, S has been implemented in the sand beach Land Keburuhuan Purworedjo, in 2012. Sandy land with low productivity, characterized by the dominant soil constituent materials (> 80%) composed of sand so that the availability of water and plant nutrients is very low. It required ameliorant organic materials to repair the planting medium with organic fertilizer. Also required the addition of elements Mg and S, in order to increase the oil content. The design used was Completely Randomized Block Design with 3 replications. With two factors Various Organic Materials and dose. Various factors Organic Ingredients include: B0 = Control, B1 = organic material from chicken manure, B2 = Organic matter from cattle dung, B3 = organic material from  leaves and chaff and straw. The dose applied include: D0 = control U1: Hara Mg 0.2 g, D1 = 10 tonnes / ha U2: Hara S 0.4 g, D2 = 15 tonnes / ha, D3 = 20 tonnes / ha. Of the three factors the research there were 32 variations of treatment, while the varieties used are: SBR 4. Variables and analysis of plant growth include: plant height, number of flowers, flowering, seed weight per plant, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, harvest, and oil content. Amelioration using chicken manure at a dose of 15 tonnes / ha, with the addition of Mg and S in the cultivation of sesame in beach sand land to increase total oil content of 15%. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : (1) untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk KCl terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi ubi jalar, (2) untuk mengetahui dosis pupuk KCl terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi ubi jalar. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan dasar Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Data dianalsis menggunakan analisis    ragam dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) pemberian pupuk KCl  tidak  berpengaruh  terhadap  panjang batang utama, jumlah cabang, dan jumlah daun. (2) pemberian pupuk KCl berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat segar umbi per tanaman, tetapi tidak nyata terhadap diameter umbi per tanaman, jumlah umbi per tanaman, dan panjang umbi per tanaman. (3) Pemberian pupuk KCl berpengaruh terhadap berat umbi sehat per hektar, berat umbi afkir per hektar, berat umbi yang dapat dipasarkan, dan berat segar umbi per hektar. (4) dosis pupuk KCl terbaik adalah 150 kg/ha karena dapat menghasilkan berat segar umbi tertinggi, berat umbi sehat tertinggi, berat umbi afkir terrendah, berat umbi yang dapat dipasarkan yang terberat, dan berat segar umbi tertinggi.
