Abstract

Sebagian besar lahan pekarang diperkotaan belum di manfaatkan secara optimal, dengan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan diperkotaan diharapkan dapat mendorong kesejahteraan masyarakat. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan dengan tanaman hortikultura dan tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA). Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan kegiatan ini adalah dengan pemberdayaan masyarakat tentang pemanfaatan lahan sempit yang terbengkalai dilingkungan sekitar, masyarakat diberikan pengetahuan mengenai peranan pekarangan dalam meningkatkan gizi, pendapatan, dan sumber pengobatan bagi keluarga melalui ceramah dan diskusi. Setelah memperoleh pengetahuan mengenai peranan pekarangan, masyarakat diberikan contoh secara langsung melalui penanaman tanaman sayuran dan obat-obatan sebagai langkah pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan secara intensif. Berdasarkan percontohan yang dilakukan, anggota masyarakat di RT.03/RW.XVII Kelurahan Sumber Kecamatan Banjarsari Kota Surakarta mudah memahami manfaat dari pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan yang dimiliki dan tertarik untuk empraktekkannya lebih lanjut karena waktu panen yang relatif singkat dan proses penanaman yang cukup mudah.

Abstract

The area of soybean planting in Indonesia has decreased. The reduction in the land area causes a decrease in crop yields. Until now, 65% of the soybeans needed by the Indonesian people come from other countries, so the creation of new land needs to be tried and the number of farmers who are able to grow soybeans must be increased. Farmers in Wonoharjo village, Kemusu, Boyolali Regency are trained to grow soybeans. Land preparation is done by adding liquid fertilizer which contains a lot of nitrogen-fixing bacteria. 800 soybean seeds of Biosoy were planted with a spacing of 40 cm long and 20 cm wide. Biosoy's new high-yielding soybean seeds were selected to ensure a good harvest. Plant care by providing additional NPK fertilizer when soybeans are 40 days old, and cleaning weeds. Demonstration plot, lg 11 meters, a width of 4 meters with 400 growing points, produces 6.7 kilograms of dry soybeans from 200 grams of seed. The average number of pods per plant is 41 pieces. The average weight of 100 soybean seeds is 21.85 grams. The land that has never been planted with soybeans has succeeded as a Biosoy demonstration plot for farmers.

Abstract

Beras merupakan makanan pokok yang sulit tergantikan oleh makanan alternatif lainnya. Hal ini membuat tingkat konsumsi beras di Indonesia tergolong tinggi. Penggunaan lahan di Kecamatan Cawas telah banyak bergeser menjadi pemukiman dan luas penggunaan lahan untuk pertanian semakin berkurang. Hal ini secara tidak langsung menyiratkan bahwa sebagian besar petani di Kecamatan Cawas telah mengalihkan penggunaan lahannya dari lahan pertanian ke lahan pemukiman karena usahatani yang sebelumnya tidak lagi memberikan keuntungan. Pendapatan usahatani dapat digunakan sebagai indikator kesejahteraan petani, semakin tinggi pendapatan bersih yang diterima oleh petani kemungkinan tingkat kesejahteraan petani secara ekonomi semakin tinggi. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, maka perlu dianalisis lebih lanjut mengenai tingkat penggunaan biaya, penerimaan, pendapatan, dan kelayakan usahatani sehingga diketahui sejauh mana usahatani padi dapat menjamin kesejahteraan ekonomi rumah tangga petani. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode wawancara dengan kelompok tani Mugi Subur di Kecamatan Cawas dan dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret. Analisis pendapatan usahatani dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara mengenai penggunaan biaya usahatani dan harga padi saat panen. Selanjutnya berdasarkan data tersebut dihitung nilai Break Event Point (BEP), R/C ratio, dan B/C ratio untuk menentukan kelayakan usahatani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usahatani padi di Kecamatan Cawas memberikan keuntungan bagi petani dan layak untuk diusahakan.Rice is a staple food that is difficult to replace with other alternative foods. Abstract

01/RW. 23 Tirisan Kartasura Sukoharjo merupakan kawasan padat penduduk dengan struktur penghasilan dan jenis pekerjaan yang beragam. Pemanfaatan lahan di daerah tersebut sebagian besar adalah pemukiman yang memiliki lahan pekarangan sempit di depan rumah. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah pemanfaatan limbah yang ada di lingkungan (plastik bekas) sebagai tempat menanam cabe sebagai upaya pengurangan anggaran belanja harian keluarga. Tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dari Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Slamet Riyadi Surakarta memberikan informasi tentang budidaya cabe di wadah plastik bekas sebagai upaya mengurangi anggaran belanja harian dan limbah yang ada di lingkungan. Diharapkan dengan adanya kegiatan ini anggaran belanja harian masyarakat sasaran dapat berkurang dengan kegiatan budidaya cabe yang dilakukan, selain itu diharapkan dengan memanfaatkan limbah yang ada di lingkukan maka masyarakat sasaran dapat menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Berdasarkan kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan, ibu PKK di Tirisan dapat memanfaatkan limbah dengan cukup baik, seperti memanfaatkan galon bekas, ember pecah, ember cat, dll sebagai pengganti polybag, namun beberapa tetap menggunakan polybag. Penanaman dilakukan pada akhir Bulan Maret ketika harga cabe per Kg Rp. 40.000, dan pada awal Bulan Juni berbuah pertama kali ketika harga cabe di pasaran mencapai Rp. 120.000, hal ini tentu saja sangat menguntungkan bagi masyarakat sasaran pengabdian karena tidak perlu membeli cabe sehingga dapat menghemat anggaran belanja.

Abstract

Risk management is an important thing in organic farming to obtain optimal yields. The objective of the study are: (1) To know the factors affecting the production of organic rice in Special Region of Yogyakarta, (2) Estimate the level of production risk and the factors that affect the risks production of organic rice in Special Region of Yogyakarta, and (3) Determine the risk management of organic rice production. Data were collected from 30 respondents with proportional random sampling method. The factors affecting production and production risk of organic rice were analyzed using multiple linear regression with ordinary least square model, while the level of risk was analyzed by using coefficient of variation. The results showed by adding variables of land area and organic fertilizers can increase the production of organic rice in Special Region of Yogyakarta. Liquid fertilizer has significant effect to reduce risk of organic rice production. While the variables of land area and organic fertilizers have the potential to increase production risks. Based on the results of risk analysis it is known that the risk of organic rice production is relatively low because the value of coefficient of variation is low as well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Efek Penggunaan Dosis Pupuk NPK Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Beberapa Varietas Jagung Manis (Zea mays saccharata L.)” bertujuan untuk menganalisis efek dosis pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil 3 varietas jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April - Juni 2023, di Kebun Benih Hortikultura Tohudan Colomadu, Karanganyar. Ketinggian tempat ±105 mdpl, jenis tanah regosol dan pH tanah 6,5-7. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) faktorial, dengan metode Split Plot terdiri dari 2 faktor perlakuan yaitu 3 macam varietas jagung manis dan 4 macam dosis pupuk NPK, Varietas jagung manis (V) terdiri dari V1: Varietas Sweet Boy, V2 : Varietas Bonanza F1, V3 : Varietas Talenta. Dosis pupuk NPK (D) terdiri dari D0 : Tanpa Pupuk NPK (kontrol), D1 : Dosis Pupuk NPK 5 g/tanaman, D2 : Dosis Pupuk NPK 10 g/tanaman, D3 : Dosis Pupuk NPK 15 g/tanaman. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut BNJ 5%. Pengamatan yang dilakukan meliputi tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), diameter batang (cm), jumlah tongkol per tanaman (tongkol), panjang tongkol (cm), diameter tongkol (cm), berat segar tongkol berkelobot (g), berat segar tongkol tanpa kelobot (g), dan berat segar brangkasan (g). Hasil penelitian ini yaitu perlakuan varietas Bonanza dan dosis pupuk NPK 10 g/tanaman (V2D2) mengahasilkan nilai tertinggi pada parameter jumlah daun sebesar 14,33 helai, parameter diameter batang sebesar 2,79 cm, parameter jumlah tongkol per tanaman sebesar 2,00 tongkol, parameter panjang tongkol sebesar 20,17 cm, parameter diameter tongkol sebesar 4,80 cm, parameter berat segar tongkol tanpa kelobot sebesar 390,09 g per tanaman, dan parameter berat segar brangkasan 234,15 g. Sedangkan perlakuan varietas Bonanza dan dosis pupuk NPK 15 g/tanaman menghasilkan nilai tertinggi untuk parameter tinggi tanaman sebesar 149,61 cm. Perlakuan varietas Talenta dan dosis pupuk NPK 10 g/tanaman (V3D2) menghasilkan nilai tertinggi pada parameter pengamatan berat segar tongkol berkelobot sebesar 397,97 g/tanaman. Kata kunci : dosis pupuk NPK, jagung manis, varietas

Abstract

Sans Berkah Empon is a business that handles various types of post-harvest empon, including turmeric. Sans Berkah Empon buys fresh turmeric from various locations in Central Java and East Java. The turmeric obtained is sold in various product forms, such as fresh turmeric that has been cleaned and sent to traditional markets and chopped turmeric that has been dried. Even though post-harvest processing has been carried out in the form of chopping and drying, most of the turmeric sold by Sans Berkah Empon is still fresh turmeric susceptible to rotting, mould and sprouting, so it requires proper treatment. The Community Service Team from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Slamet Riyadi, provided training related to post-harvest optimization of empon-empon in July – September 2024 and based on the evaluation results there was an improvement in the quality of empon-empon and product diversification.

Abstract

This study assessed the impact of goat manure on the growth and productivity of turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val.) plants in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Unisri, Surakarta, Central Java, from April to July 2024. The objectives of the study were to find the optimal planting media composition for turmeric growth and evaluate the effects of manure dose and planting media variation. The research design used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with two components. The first component consisted of four types of planting media: M0 (control soil), M1 (soil & rice husk), M2 (soil & rice husk charcoal), and M3 (soil & cocopeat). The second component is the dose of goat manure (K): K0 (0 g/plant), K1 (150 g/plant), K2 (200 g/plant), and K3 (250 g/plant). Data were analyzed by ANOVA and BNJ test at 5% significance level. This research gives results in the form of 1) Planting media has a significant effect on the wet weight of rhizomes, but has no effect on the number of leaves, the number of buds, and the wet weight of stems. 2) All variables were significantly affected by goat manure treatment. 3) The number of leaves, number of buds, and wet weight of stalks were also significantly affected by the interaction between treatments, while the wet weight of stalks was not affected.
