Abstract

ABSTRAKPanti Lansia Pangesti Lawang merupakan suatu tempat untuk menampung lansia dan jompo dengan memberikan pelayanan sehingga mereka merasa aman, tentram senang dan tidak ada perasaan gelisah maupun khawatir dalam menghadapi usia tua. Pengasuh lansia adalah individu yang mempunyai tugas memberikan perhatian, perawatan dan perlindungan kepada lansia yang mengalami ketidak mampuan fisik atau psikis kronis. Di Panti Pangesti Lawang pengasuh lansia memegang peranan penting dalam keamanan pasien terutama pada pemberian obat. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini agar pengasuh lansia mampu menerapan prinsip 5 benar dalam pemberian obat kepada para lansia sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kinerja, meningkatkan efisiensi, dan memastikan kualitas pelayanan telah sesuai dengan Standar Posedur Operasional (SPO). Kegiatan ini telah terlaksana selama bulan Nopember dan Desember 2021 dengan metode daring dan luring. Dari 14 pengasuh lansia dalam menerapakan pinsip 5 benar dalam memberikan obat ditemukan 9 atau 64% pengasuh lansia yang masih mampu menerapkan 5 prinsip benar dalam melakukan aktivitas pelayanan obat. Setelah dilaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat ini sebanyak 13 atau 92% pengasuh lansia telah mampu menerapkan 5 prinsip benar dalam pemberian obat. Sehingga terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini. Kata Kunci : pemberian obat; pengasuh lansia; prinsip 5 benar. ABSTRACTPangesti Lawang Nursing Homeis a place to accommodate the elderly and the elderly by providing services so that they feel safe, peaceful and happy and there are no feelings of anxiety or worry in the face of old age. Elderly caregivers are individuals who have the task of providing attention, care and protection to the elderly who experience chronic physical or psychological disabilities. At Pangesti Lawang Panti, elderly caregivers play an important role in patient safety, especially in drug administration. This activity has been carried out during November and December 2021 using online and offline methods. Of the 14 elderly caregivers in applying the correct 5 principles in giving drugs, it was found that 9 or 64% of elderly caregivers were still not right in carrying out drug service activities which referred to 5 correct principles. After carrying out this community service, as many as 13 or 92% of elderly caregivers have been able to apply the 5 correct principles in drug administration. Where this community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of elderly caregivers in applying the 5 correct principles when administering drugs. Abstract

Introduction: Older people have a complexity of health status, systemic diseases, and the use of certain medications creates oral health problems. Indonesian people, use quite a lot of family medicinal plants, for example a decoction of betel leaves (Piper betle L.). Its compounds are known to have strong potential as an anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. The role of nurses is to increase the knowledge of health cadres through health counseling activities about the basic concepts of oral hygiene and how to make betel leaf-based mouthwashes Objective: The counseling activity aims to increase the knowledge of health cadres about oral hygiene and about how to make mouthwashes made from betel leaves. Method: The implementation has been held in June 2022. The number of participants was 14 people. The participants are health cadres in Wonosari Hamlet. The instruments used to evaluate were ten (10) pre-test and post-test questionnaire questions and a checklist of procedures for how to make betel leaf-based mouthwashes. The data on the results are presented in the form of a table of scores. Result: The average score of knowledge about oral hygiene are increase from 49.29 to 67.27. Procedure evaluation score 97.61%. Conclusion: There was an increase in knowledge about oral hygiene and representatives of cadres were able to make Betel Leaf Mouthwash. It is hoped that it can be done to the elderly so that the optimization of PHC in terms of oral hygiene of the elderly uses betel leaf mouthwash to prevent oral disorders from manifesting.

Abstract

ABSTRAKLKS LU Pangesti Lawang memiliki 13 caregiver dan 1 orang Perawat, dan telah mendapatkan pelatihan terapi untuk mengatasi masalah psikogeriatri. Meskipun demikian salah satu caregiver mengatakan bahwa diperlukan kombinasi terapi untuk mengatasi masalah psikogeriatri, karena kondisi psikologis lansia berbeda dan kadang berubah dengan cepat. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat bermaksud untuk mengajarkan terapi sederhana untuk mengurangi kecemasan lansia kepada caregiver, yaitu acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Terapi ini dapat dilakukan oleh siapa saja yang telah mendapatkan pelatihan dari perawat. Terapi ini mengajarkan kepada lansia untuk menerima pikiran yang mengganggu dan tidak menyenangkan dengan menempatkan diri sesuai dengan nilai yang dianut sehingga ia akan menerima dengan kondisi yang ada. Kegiatan ini telah dilaksanakan melalui 3 tahapan. Tahap pertama yaitu melakukan perijinan dan koordinasi dengan pengelola panti terkait rencacna pelaksanaan. Tahap kedua adalah pemberian materi dan praktik Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) tahap I dan II. Tahap ketiga adalah evaluasi kegiatan yang meliputi evaluasi perasaan Caregiver setelah melakukan terapi ACT beserta  evaluasi pre test dan post test. Kegiatan ini telah terlaksana selama bulan November - Desember 2022, dan diikuti oleh 1 Perawat dan 13 Caregiver lansia. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah ; pada pretest 14 peserta rata-rata mendapatkan nilai 5,20. Setelah dilakukan pelatihan dan dilakukan evaluasi akhir atau posttest pada 14 peserta didapatkan rata-rata nilai 8,50 atau terdapat kenaikan nilai rata-rata sebesar 24%. Dari hasil observasi didapatkan data bahwa caregiver dapat melakukan terapi ACT sesi I dan II kepada lansia secara langsung dengan nilai rat-rata 80. Berdasarkan hasil pre dan post test  dengan perubahan yang signifikan dan hasil observasi dengan nilai yang baik, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta pengabdian masyarakat  mampu melakukan praktikum ACT Sesi I dan II dengan baik dan tepat. Secara keseluruhan kegiatan berjalan lancar karena dukungan dari pengelola Panti. Kata Kunci : caregiver; lansia;  kecemasan; panti werdha; acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) ABSTRACTLKS LU Pangesti Lawang has 13 caregivers and 1 nurse, and has received therapy training to deal with psychogeriatric problems. Even so, one of the caregivers said that a combination of therapies was needed to deal with psychogeriatric problems, because the psychological conditions of the elderly were different and sometimes changed rapidly. Based on these findings, the community service team intends to teach a simple therapy to reduce the anxiety of the elderly to caregivers, namely acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). This therapy can be done by anyone who has received training from a nurse. This therapy teaches the elderly to accept disturbing and unpleasant thoughts by placing themselves according to their values so that they will accept the existing conditions. This activity has been carried out through 3 stages. The first stage is obtaining permits and coordinating with the management of the orphanage regarding the implementation plan. The second stage is the provision of material and practice of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) stages I and II. The third stage is activity evaluation which includes evaluating the Caregiver's feelings after carrying out ACT therapy along with pre-test and post-test evaluations. This activity was carried out during November - December 2022, and was attended by 1 nurse and 13 elderly caregivers. The results of this service activity are; in the pretest 14 participants averaged a score of 5.20. After the training was carried out and the final evaluation or posttest was carried out on 14 participants, an average value of 8.50 was obtained or there was an increase in the average value of 24%. From the observation results, it was found that caregivers can perform ACT sessions I and II therapy directly for the elderly with an average value of 80. Based on the results of the pre and post tests with significant changes and the results of observations with good scores, it can be concluded that the service participants the community is able to carry out ACT Sessions I and II practicum properly and correctly. Abstract

ABSTRAKKegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini didahului dengan studi pendahuluan dengan Puskesmas Bareng Kota Malang dan didapatkan data bahwa kelurahan Sukoharjo merupakan kelurahan dengan populasi lansia terbanyak dan sebagian besar tinggal bersama dengan keluarganya (671 lansia). Kelurahan ini memiliki kader yang sangat aktif, berjumlah 16 orang. Pihak Puskesmas mengatakan bahwa Kader di kelurahan tersebut telah mendapatkan berbagai macam pelatihan untuk mengatasi masalah kesehatan dasar pada masyarakat, namun Puskesmas belum pernah memberikan pelatihan mengenai cara menggali permasalahan psikologis, terutama pada lansia dan keluarganya (caregiver informal). Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, maka dipilih pelatihan teknik wawancara mendalam untuk kader kesehatan yang berjumlah 16 orang. Pelatihan ini berupa praktik wawancara mendalam (in depth interview) dengan tujuan kader kesehatan dapat menggali semua permasalahan psikologis yang dialami oleh pendamping lansia atau caregiver informal dalam merawat lansia, karena data tersebut tidak akan diperoleh apabila hanya dengan wawancara biasa. Data mengenai permasalahan psikologis ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar untuk mengajarkan terapi sederhana lanjutan dalam mengtasi permasalahan psikologis. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dimulai dengan perijinan ke Puskesmas Bareng, Dinas kesehatan Kota Malang, kemudian berkoordinasi dengan ketua kader kesehatan RW 01 kelurahan Sukoharjo. Setelah koordinasi dengan pihak yang terkait, maka disepakati bahwa pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan secara luring (penjelasan dan praktik langsung). Kegiatan dilakukan selama 3 hari, pada tanggal 4, 5 dan 6 Juli 2023. Kegiatan di hari pertama adalah dilakukan pre test dengan hasil 4,62, kemudian dijelaskan mengenai teori permasalahan psikososial dan teknik wawancara mendalam. Pada hari kedua, pelaksana pengabdian masyarakat memberikan contoh / role play mengenai teknik wawancara mendalam. Hari ketiga diawali dengan praktik langsung role play ulang mengenai teknik wawancara dilanjutkan dengan praktik langsung teknik wawancara mendalam oleh para kader kesehatan dilanjutkan penilaian, didapatkan rata-rata nilai praktikum 8,91. Pertemuan ketiga diakhiri dengan post test untuk mengevaluasi kognitif kader kesehatan dan didapatkan nilai 9,71. Berdasarkan proses yang telah terjadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini berjalan dengan efektif dan berhasil, dibuktikan dengan perubahan nilai pre dan post test. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini juga karena dukungan penuh dari STIKes Panti Waluya Malang, dinas kesehatan Kota Malang, Puskesmas Bareng dan Kader Kesehatan RW 01 dan RW 02 Kelurahan Sukoharjo.  Kata Kunci : caregiver; kader; lansia; wawancara ABSTRACTThis Community Service Activity (PKM) was preceded by a preliminary study with the Public Health Center in Malang City and data obtained that the Sukoharjo sub-district is the sub-district with the largest elderly population and most of them live with their families. This kelurahan has very active cadres, totaling 16 people. The Puskesmas said that the cadres in the kelurahan had received various kinds of training to deal with basic health problems in the community, but the Puskesmas had never provided training on how to explore psychological problems, especially for the elderly and their families (informal caregivers). Based on this phenomenon, training in in-depth interview techniques was selected for 16 health cadres. This training is in the form of in-depth interview practice with the aim of health cadres being able to explore all the psychological problems experienced by elderly companions or informal caregivers in caring for the elderly, because such data cannot be obtained through regular interviews. This data regarding psychological problems can be used as a basis for teaching advanced simple therapies in overcoming psychological problems. Community service activities began with permits to go to the Public Health Center together, the Health Office of Malang City, then coordinated with the head of the RW 01 health cadre, Sukoharjo village. After coordination with related parties, it was agreed that the implementation of this activity would be carried out offline (explaination and direct practice). The activity was carried out for 3 days, on the 4th, 5th and 6th of July 2023. The activity on the first day was a pre-test with a result of 4.62, then explained the theory of psychosocial problems and in-depth interview techniques. On the second day, the community service executor gave an example/role play regarding the in-depth interview technique. The third day begins with a role play again regarding interview techniques followed by direct practice of in-depth interview techniques by health cadres followed by an assessment, obtaining an average practicum score of 8.91. The third meeting ended with a post test to evaluate the cognitive health cadres and obtained a score of 9.71. Based on the process that has occurred, it can be concluded that this activity was running effectively and successfully, as evidenced by changes in pre and post test scores. The success of this activity was also due to the full support of the Waluya Malang STIKes, the Malang City Health Office, the Joint Health Center and Health Cadres RW 01 and RW 02 Sukoharjo Village. Keywords: caregiver; cadre; elderly; interview
