Abstract

Drama learning material in Indonesian language lessons is one part of the literary aspect. The ultimate goal of learning is that students are required to be able to compose drama texts in their own style. This certainly requires a high understanding for students to be able to analyze the structure, characteristics and elements that are specifically contained in a drama. The purpose of this study is to describe how the ability to write drama texts in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Bandar Lampung. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive approach. The results of this study can be described as follows. The ability of Class VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Bandar Lampung in writing drama texts is categorized as sufficient.

Abstract

This study contains the ability to determine the grammatical meaning of sentences in class V Even Semester State Elementary School 2 Gunungrejo Pesawaran Academic Year 2020/2021. Determining the grammatical meaning in the sentence under study includes several aspects, namely: 1) Paying attention to word affixation (affixation); 2) Pay attention to the repetition of language units in whole or in part (Reduplication); and 3) Pay attention to the combination of two or more words in forming words (composition). This study aims to determine and describe how the level of student ability. To achieve this goal, the author uses a qualitative descriptive method, while the data collection technique is an assignment technique. The population in this study amounted to 118 students and the research sample was set at 29 people. The sampling technique used is the Stratified proportional random sampling technique. Data analysis used the percentages.

Abstract

This study contains the ability to write drama text in grade VIII students in the odd semester of SMP Negeri 25 Bandar Lampung. What is the level of ability of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Bandar Lampung in writing drama texts. This study aims to find out and describe the level of students' ability to write drama texts that are viewed in terms of several aspects, namely aspects of the plot, character and characterization, style of language, background, point of view and theme.The method used is descriptive qualitative by using percentages, namely by analyzing aspects, namely aspects of flow, character and characterization, style of language, background, perspective and theme. The ability of the drama text of SMP Negeri 25 Bandar Lampung in the aspects of the background and angle of understanding in the category is quite seen from the percentage of students who have an average value of 62.8% and the ability to write drama texts for SMP Negeri 25 Bandar Lampung in the theme aspects category is less seen from the percentage of students who have an average value of 60%.

Abstract

The novel Inna Ma'al Ausri Yusra is one of the novels that will be discussed more deeply related to the value of faith. The values of faith that will be studied are related to divine values, prophecy, ruhiyat, and samiyat. The method of this research is library research using descriptive analysis method. Based on the results of the analysis of the divine aspect, the author describes Fatimah's faith and piety who has experienced trials and tests. From the aspect of prophecy, the author describes it implicitly and explicitly in the story, about Fatima's determination to achieve high faith even though trials and suffering always befall her, she is guided by the story of the Prophet Muhammad. From the rihiyyat aspect, there is a belief in this value. Azwar is wrong. He believes in spirits. He uses his knowledge to manipulate his patients to comply with their wishes. From the sam'iyat aspect, it is illustrated in the story through the Koran, there are five letters consisting of five hadiths that support the arguments of the Koran so that the story has a strong legal basis.

Abstract

The problems raised in this study is related to the effectiveness of school-based lesson study in an effort to improve teacher competency. This study is conducted with the aim of improving the competency of Indonesian language teachers at SD IT Tumaninah Yasin Metro for the 2020/2021 academic year. The results shows that the implementation of the teacher's ability done in cycle I and cycle II. The meeting in the first cycle of the implementation of the teacher's ability in planning learning is 78.3% and the implementation of the teacher's ability in the implementation of learning is 77.9%. The implementation of the learning evaluation is 79.1%, this value is lower than the total value in the second cycle, namely the implementation of the teacher's ability to plan learning of 84, 2% and the implementation of the teacher's ability in the implementation of learning is 86.3%. However, the implementation of the learning evaluation is 87.5%. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the implementation of lesson study at SD IT Tumaninah Yasin Metro based on the research findings in cycle I and cycle II as a whole can improve the pedagogic competence of Indonesian language teachers at SD IT Tumaninah Yasin Metro. The implementation of lesson study at SD IT Tumaninah Yasin Metro on the performance of teachers in doing the lesson study stage in each cycle has increased. It is hoped that the support from various parties can cintinue and sustain the implementation of school-based lesson study.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify and describe the relationship level of diction and schemata mastery with reading ability at the fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Srikuncoro, Semaka District, in the 2018/2019. This study is a quantitative descriptive method of because the score. The variables in this study are in the form of numbers and are presented in the form of tabulation and using statistical analysis. The population of this research is students of the fifth grade of SD Negeri 2 Srikuncoro Semaka District Tanggamus District. Semaka 2018/2019 Academic Year consists of 2 classes. Research result shows that the correlation coefficient between diction mastery and reading comprehension ability of 0.776. The correlation coefficient between schemata on the ability to read comprehension of 0.820, while the double coefficient correlation between diction and schemata mastery on the ability to read comprehension of 0.836. The conclusion can be drawn is that there is a very close and significant relationship between vocabulary mastery and schemata with reading comprehension ability in the fifth grade of SD Negeri 2 Srikuncoro, Semaka Tanggamus District, 2018/2019 academic year. This indicates that the better the mastery of diction and schemata owned, the better the reading comprehension ability.

Abstract

This research aims to improve listening skills and learning motivation by using audio-visual media in seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Mesuji. Classroom action research is a research in which the researcher collaborates with several parties, both principals, classroom teachers, and researchers simultaneously, with two cycles, each cycle having three meetings. The method used in this research is classroom action research (CAR). This study used the subject of class VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Mesuji. The population of this study amounted to 56 students. The entire population was sampled, so the sample was 56 students. Methods of data collection using checklist observations, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that the use of audio-visual media was effective in improving the ability to listen to fantasy stories for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Mesuji. This can be seen from the results of the study which showed that the students' listening ability during the pre-cycle only obtained an average score of 37.32 and this was included in the poor category. When the action was taken in the first cycle, the students' listening ability increased to 49.28 and was included in the sufficient category. Furthermore, in the second (second) cycle, the score reached 64.82 (Good). Likewise, in increasing learning motivation, the use of audio-visual methods also increases learning motivation. In the pre-cycle, the score of 48.35 was included in the sufficient category; in the first cycle the score is 54.78 which is included in the sufficient category, while in the second cycle the score is 68.21 which is included in the good category.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' ability to read poetry before and after using the somatic, auditory, visualization, intellectual learning model, third semester students at STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung. The type of research used is quantitative research. Furthermore, this research method is an experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection uses a poetry reading test. Data analysis uses statistical techniques with the t-test formula. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the ability of third semester students at STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung in reading poetry before using the somatic, auditory, visualization, intellectual learning model, received a failure category with an average score of 38.11. Then, after applying the somatic, auditory, visualization, intellectual model, it received a good category with an average score of 71.6. At the 5% significance level, the t table is 2.04 and the t count is 14.29. In this case, it shows that the calculated t is greater than the t table. Based on the t test calculation, it is proven that "t" is the critical price of "t table" ("t" is greater than the critical price of "t table"). Thus, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, this means that the somatic, auditory, visualization, intellectual model is effectively applied in learning to read poetry for third semester students at STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

In an effort to improve the culture of critical thinking in high schools, this research aims to find argumentative reasoning techniques used by students in argumentative written discourse. This research uses a qualitative approach with a theoretical orientation in discourse analysis to achieve this goal. Discourse written by students is the data source for this research. This data comes from assignments given by teachers to students to write arguments. Therefore, this data collection method uses available student assignment documents. The research results obtained through the data analysis process show that students' argument reasoning methods in written argument discourse consist of: (1) arguments with examples, (2) arguments with authority, and (3) arguments with causes.
