Abstract

Drama learning material in Indonesian language lessons is one part of the literary aspect. The ultimate goal of learning is that students are required to be able to compose drama texts in their own style. This certainly requires a high understanding for students to be able to analyze the structure, characteristics and elements that are specifically contained in a drama. The purpose of this study is to describe how the ability to write drama texts in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Bandar Lampung. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive approach. The results of this study can be described as follows. The ability of Class VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Bandar Lampung in writing drama texts is categorized as sufficient.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is: 1) to find out and describe the structure of the news contained in the delivery of news on the night radar program, and 2) to find out and describe the linguistic characteristics in the delivery of news on the night radar program. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. The data sources of this research are scripts and videos of the news event of Radar Malam Edition 5 October 2021. The data collection techniques used in this research are; documentation, observation and interview techniques. The results showed that the structure of the news contained in the Radar Malam program was complete and in accordance with predetermined indicators. The linguistic characteristics used in the news are in accordance with the linguistic characteristics of the news contained in the indicators to be analyzed.

Abstract

This study aims to describe knowing how children's ability to acquire language, seen from the acquisition of the lexicon in children aged 2 years. The data in this study is the child's speech ability after 2 years. This study used a qualitative descriptive design. The results of this study, children aged 2 years have been able to pronounce according to the language he mastered, thus children aged 2 years can say what words he got from the language where he got both from his family and the surrounding environment by using lexicon acquisition.

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials products that are effectively used by class VII students. The teaching materials that will be developed are teaching materials in the form of LKPD, namely identifying the characteristics and elements of poetry. This study uses research and development methods by adapting the Jolly and Bolitho development model. To obtain information on the feasibility of teaching materials, expert validation and limited field tests were carried out.. The data obtained to see the potential effects were obtained through analytical tests. Based on the analysis of the results of expert validation, the LKPD teaching materials identified the characteristics and elements of the poetry developed that could be categorized as good or decent. The results of the writing test before and after using the LKPD increased the average score from 68.53 to 87.07 (difference 18.53). Thus, LKPD teaching materials to identify the characteristics and elements of poetry developed can improve students' ability to identify and are suitable for use in SMP Negeri 32 Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

The problems raised in this study are related to social values ​​in the novel Negeri Senja by Seno Gumira Ajidarma. The research study of social values ​​in the novel Negeri Senja by Seno Gumira Ajidarma includes intrinsic elements and social values ​​in the form of the value of affection, the value of responsibility and the value of harmony in life in the form of democracy and cooperation. The approach used in this research is the sociology of literature approach. This means that something that is displayed in the work that has been studied is the content of the literary work, the goals and the things implied in the literary work itself related to social problems. The results of the study show that the novel Negeri Senja by Seno Gumira Ajidarma contains intrinsic elements and contains many social values. Classification of social values is based on social values including the value of affection, the value of responsibility and the value of harmony in life.

Abstract

Cang Icang's poem appeared since the founding of the Kayuagung area. However, in reality these poems are rarely used by the people of Kayuagung, especially the Cang Icang poem. This is because one by one the old speakers die. While the younger generation is less interested in learning and using it. The purpose of this study is to describe the inner structure contained in the old Cang-Incang poem in the oral literature of Kayuagung. The author uses a descriptive method with qualitative data aimed at describing the inner structure in the old Cang-Icang poem in Kayuagung oral literature. The techniques used to obtain and collect research data are recording techniques, listening techniques and note-taking techniques. The Cang-Incang poem is a poem consisting of four lines in each stanza, the first and second stanzas are appendices while the third and fourth stanzas are content, each stanza has a relationship between stanzas. The inner structure in Cang-Incang's poetry contains several themes including divinity and humanity, feelings in Cang-Incang's poetry where the poet's feelings are sad and happy, the tone and atmosphere of the poet tries to advise and forget the poet's mood, and the message implied in the contents of the poem. Cang-Incang advice. Cang-Incang in the oral literature of Kayuagung obtained five Cang-Incang poems from five informants, the research finding data are as follows: (1) Cang-Incang's poem "remember and surrender to God's greatness", (2) Cang-Incang's poem "quipped at a child who forgetting the love of parents", (3) Cang-Incang's poem "pours out sad feelings because he feels unloved by his mother", (4) Cang-Incang's poem "expresses feelings or desires of the heart", (5) Cang-Incang's poem "entertains yourself at work.”

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the stylistic form of the lyrics of song describing Ungu with purple song entitled Ungu Melayang, Berikan Aku Cinta, Tercipta Untukku, and Kekasih Gelapku. The method use in this study is descritive of this kualitatif. This study clearly describe or illustrate the style of language and detail about the collection of songs Ungu. Sources of in this study is a song titled Ungu Melayang, Berikan Aku Cinta, Tercipta Untukku, and Kekasih Gelapku. The results of this study concluded that the song is not only dominated by Ungu style personification, hyperbole, and assonance but also redundancy, climax, inversion, and a pars pro toto sinekdoke. Writing songs more Ungu band using style as party of the expression of feelings and pored in poetry writing. The uniqueness of the lyrycs the songs that is Ungu in addition to using a lot of style, the lyrics are melancholy was also if sung by a singer.

Abstract

The issues in this research are related to the messages conveying educational values of diversity, resilience, holistic intelligence (identity discovery), responsibility, attitude towards life, and poverty found in literary works (novels). This study aims to identify and analyze the educational values, namely diversity, resilience, holistic intelligence (identity discovery), responsibility, attitude towards life, and poverty, present in the novel "Sepatu Dahlan" by Khrisna Pabichara. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, which involves analyzing sentence by sentence related to educational values. With this method, the collected data is identified, analyzed, described, and then interpreted according to the predetermined objectives. The choice of descriptive method and qualitative research type is due to the nature of the collected data, which consists of words but emphasizes a deep understanding of the interaction between empirically studied concepts. The research findings indicate that the educational values described in this novel include diversity, resilience, holistic intelligence, responsibility, attitude toward life, and poverty. Hopefully, this novel is useful for all of us and can serve as a source of inspiration for the younger generation in achieving their aspirations, as poverty is not a barrier to rising and pursuing goals, and education plays a significant role in this process.

Abstract

The lack of references according to student needs is a problem in this research. For this reason, this research aims to analyze the need for developing teaching materials for writing scientific papers. The method used is descriptive and qualitative with research subjects being students of STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung Semester III and V. The data collection tools used are interview guidelines and questionnaires. Data analysis uses Miles & Huberman data analysis with data reduction, data presentation and data validation. The research results require teaching materials, namely books according to the learning objectives. It is hoped that this research can become a reference in creating or developing teaching materials in the form of books as a learning medium for writing scientific papers.

Abstract

Speaking skills relate to human speech organs that are verbally spoken. Oral language can also determine movements that correspond to the words produced by the speech apparatus. We can combine learning about spoken language by using the dramatization method. This method is a learning activity by staging a story situation from a point of view played by students. By playing roles, students are able to pronounce the words as well as possible so that the message in the story the students act out is conveyed well. This method is considered suitable because it has advantages, including making learning more fun, students interacting with each other in playing existing characters. It also fosters students' critical thinking in determining the message implied in the story. The problem that occurs in the field is that students are less interested in learning because they use methods that are still conventional and that's all. Lack of student concentration in unfocused learning. Students have not been able to solve the problems posed by the teacher as a group. The aim of this research is to improve oral language learning using the dramatization method. Using this learning method in class so that students can understand the roles of characters so that students are able to tolerate them. Learning is more fun by using this dramatization method. The results of this research showed an improvement from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I there was an increase, namely the average student score in classical was 50.5% with the percentage of classical completion and cycle 2 reaching 83%.
