Abstract

Abstrak: Saat ini kebutuhan jagung dunia semakin meningkat, dengan pemanfaatan yang luas seperti konsumsi manusia, pakan ternak, hingga kebutuhan industri. Menurut data Kementerian Pertanian, Kabupaten Malang merupakan salah satu sentra produksi tanaman palawija khususnya jagung di Indonesia. Namun saat ini berdasarkan data BPS, hasil produksi jagung di Kabupaten Malang mengalami penurunan. Hal ini terjadi karena kapasitas kerja pengolahan tanah yang dilakukan oleh petani Desa Pulungdowo tidak maksimal dikarenakan usia petani yang sudah tidak produktif untuk melakukan pengolahan tanah. Untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi jagung perlu dilakukan peningkatan SDM dan mekanisasi pertanian. Kebutuhan mekanisasi pertanian di Desa Pulungdowo merupakan sebuah alat pengolahan tanah cultivator yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alat penyiang rumput yang juga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menggemburkan tanah pada lahan kering. Dengan mekanisasi ini mutu pekerjaan pengolahan tanah menjadi lebih baik, selain itu lebih efisien dalam waktu dan biaya yang dikeluarkan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan petani jagung Desa Pulungdowo dan pemateri yang memberikan penyuluhan mengenai pembibitan tanaman jagung yang dilakukan secara persilangan. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan PKM ini adalah dengan melibatkan masyarakat dan memberikan solusi substitusi IPTEK berupa mekanisasi pertanian. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah rembug desa yang merupakan bentuk dari survei lapangan, pengadaan alat, penyuluhan mekanisasi pertanian dan pembibitan tanaman jagung, penyerahan alat dan pelatihan operasional perawatan mesin, serta evaluasi untuk mengetahui efektivitas alat. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan evaluasi yang menunjukkan bahwa petani jagung Desa Pulungdowo mampu mengoperasikan alat cultivator setelah dilakukan pelatihan penggunaan dan perawatan mesin, sehingga proses pengolahan tanah pertanian jagung yang dilakukan petani Desa Pulungdowo menjadi lebih efisien.Abstract: Currently, the world's need for corn is increasing, with wide use of such as human consumption, animal feed, to industrial needs. According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Malang Regency is one of the production centers for secondary crops, especially maize in Indonesia. However, currently based on BPS data, corn production in Malang Regency has decreased. This happens because the working capacity of land cultivation carried out by the farmers in Pulungdowo Village is not optimal due to the age of the farmers who are not productive enough to cultivate the land. To increase the yield of maize production, it is necessary to increase human resources and agricultural mechanization. The need for agricultural mechanization in Pulungdowo Village is a tool for cultivating land for cultivators that can be used as a tool for weeding which can also be used to loosen the soil on dry land. With this mechanization, the quality of soil processing work will be better, besides that it is more efficient in terms of time and costs. This activity involved corn farmers in Pulungdowo Village and presenters who provided counseling on the breeding of corn which was carried out by crosses. The method used in this PKM activity is to involve the community and provide solutions to substitute science and technology in the form of agricultural mechanization. The stages of the implementation of this activity are village consultations which are a form of field survey, procurement of tools, counseling on agricultural mechanization and corn plant nurseries, delivery of tools and training on machine maintenance operations, and evaluation to determine the effectiveness of the tools. This activity resulted in an evaluation showing that the corn farmers in Pulungdowo Village were able to operate the cultivators after training on the use and maintenance of the machines so that the processing of corn farmland carried out by the farmers in Pulungdowo Village became more efficient

Abstract

Abstrak: Salah satu media pembelajaran utama yang digunakan dalam sistem pendidikan anak usia dini ialah Alat Permainan Edukatif (APE). APE akan menunjang keberhasilan proses belajar melalui pengembangan aspek motorik halus dan kasar yang dilakukan pada area bermain indoor maupun outdoor. APE indoor dapat dipenuhi melalui pembuatan sendiri dari bahan yang tersedia di sekitar, sedangkan APE outdoor sebagian besar membutuhkan alat bantu pabrikasi yang harganya relatif mahal. Tujuan utama penyediaan APE outdoor adalah untuk meningkatkan kreativitas, keterampilan fisik, rasa percaya diri, daya nalar, kemampuan bersosialisasi dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Ketersediaan APE outdoor pada PAUD Bina Cendikia Malang masih sangat terbatas sehingga program kegiatan belajar untuk mengembangkan aspek motorik siswa kurang optimal. Selain itu diperlukan peningkatan pemahaman tentang keselematan bermain bagi anak agar guru dan wali siswa dapat memastikan kegiatan bermain berlangsung dengan aman, menarik, menyenangkan, dan minim resiko. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat pada PAUD Bina Cendikia dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

In this study, three percentages of moisture content on the green sand were benchmarked to be observed their effects on the casting defects. The metal used is scrap Al-Si with wt% of Al 59.7. The metal was melted in a furnace at 550 ºC then poured into sand molds and cooled for 24 hours before it can be removed, cleaned, and finished. There were prepared three specimens for each benchmark. Qualitative observation of defects was done by physical observations on the surface of the specimens. The observations show that on the moisture content of 2.5%, there is a defect in the form of porosity. Defects in the form of drops, misruns, blowholes, and shrinkage cavity are found on the benchmark 3.5%. The most severe defects are found on the benchmark 4.5% in the form of buckles and severe shrinkage cavities that are found in almost all specimens.

Abstract

Miniplate plays an important role as one of the implant components used as a rehabilitation device for a post-fracture finger. In this study, an analysis was carried out to determine the strength of the miniplate design made from Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy material. Simulation and analysis were carried out using the finite element method. The given input for modeling tensile and bending loads determined von Mises stress, kinetic energy, strain energy, and internal energy. The analysis showed that uneven von Mises stress and strain distribution have occurred. The critical concentration of stresses was located at the center of the miniplate and these values were a lot lower than the yield stress of Ti-6Al-4V.

Abstract

This study analyzed the design performance of SS316L-based plate implant for fibula restoration using a Finite Element Analysis approach. The simulated model design has dimensions of 35 x 5 x 1.5 mm and five holes with 2-3 configuration. The results of the bending test simulation showed that the values for both displacement and Von Mises stress that occurred (0.008 mm and 116 MPa of each) were still considerably below the yield stress of the SS316L material. The same results were also shown in the tensile test simulation, although the clamping setting on the plate was changed on the other side. From this finite element analysis approach, the SS316L-based five-hole plate implant design has a fairly good strength performance as a fibular bone-implant restoration product.

Abstract

Makanan ringan dari bahan pisang, umbi, kentang dan tepung senantiasa digemari oleh Masyarakat Indonesia. UMKM Fany merupakan usaha kecil di Kabupaten Malang yang memproduksi keripik. Proses produksi keripik yang dilakukannya memiliki beberapa masalah, salah satunya adalah tingkat minyak yang tinggi pada keripik pisang. Kadar minyak yang tinggi menyebabkan keripik menjadi lembek, berminyak, tidak crunchy, dan kurang tahan lama. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengatasi kesulitan yang dihadapi mitra selama proses produksi keripik dengan memanfaatkan teknologi tepat guna, seperti mesin peniris minyak. Metode yang digunakan berupa survey dan wawancara kepada pemilik UMKM Fany yang memproduksi produk keripik, lalu pembuatan alat dan terakhir pelatihan serta serah terima alat. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah usaha bapak Sodiq telah meningkat kualitas dan kuantitas produk olahan keripik pisangnya. Mitra mampu mengoperasikan mesin peniris minyak serta memahami cara perawatan mesin dengan benar.

Abstract

In a common rail diesel engine system, the entire fuel system is regulated electronically by a computer device called the ECU.  With this sensor manipulator tool, it is hoped that you will be able to change the output of the fuel pressure sensor to modify the ECU input. This makes it possible to change the power produced by the vehicle and reduce fuel consumption. This research is using experimental methods. The initial step is to take vehicle power test data under normal conditions, with the fuel pressure sensor output voltage at 1.28 V, reduced by 0.2 (1.08 volts), decreased by 0.1 (1.18 volts), increased by 0,1 (1.38 volts), and up 0.2 (1.48 volts). The results of this research show that the highest power at a speed of 80 km/h occurs at a voltage of 1.38 volts and 1.48 volts, with a power of 103 HP. Optimal fuel pressure produces good misting, ensures the mixture of fuel and air in the combustion chamber is homogeneous, and produces maximum power. The results of the fuel consumption test show that the lowest fuel consumption occurs at a vehicle speed of 40 km/hour with a fuel pressure sensor voltage of 1.38 volts, which is around 0.615 cc/second. It can be concluded that a voltage of 1.38 volts produces the most optimal fuel pressure. The throttle valve and pedal openings are still slightly open, so the amount of fuel entering the combustion chamber is also limited, so fuel consumption is very economical.

Abstract

UMKM Hasim Furni adalah salah satu industri kerajinan kayu di Kabupaten Sidoarjo yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur furniture setengah jadi, khususnya dalam pembuatan kaki-kaki kursi, kaki-kaki lemari, kaki-kaki meja, dan hiasan lain untuk pesanan perusahaan manufaktur furniture. Proses produksi furnitur setengah jadi tidak terlepas dari tahap pengamplasan. Ketidaknyamanan posisi kerja memperlambat penyelesaian pekerjaan, yang pada akhirnya mengurangi produktivitas mesin amplas kayu. PPM ini dilakukan untuk memodifikasi mesin amplas kayu supaya lebih produktif dan nyaman digunakan. Metode penyelesaiannya meliputi; survey lapangan, analisis ergonomis menggunakan RULA, modifikasi mesin amplas kayu, pemasangan mesin amplas kayu hasil modifikasi, pembuatan SOP pengoperasian mesin amplas kayu, dan pelatihan penggunaan mesin amplas kayu. Hasil modifikasi mesin amplas kayu ini berhasil membuat posisi kerja yang nyaman sehingga produktivitas kerja dan kapasitas produksi meningkat. Analisis ergonomis menggunakan RULA dijadikan referensi untuk menentukan dimensi mesin amplas yang dirancang. Aspek ergonomi dipertimbangkan dalam perancangan fasilitas dan lingkungan kerja agar lebih efektif dan nyaman, sehingga produktivitas dapat meningkat.

Abstract

The installation of a turbo cyclone in the intake manifold aims to increase airflow turbulence, thereby improving the air–fuel mixture process inside the combustion chamber. This study investigates the effects of turbo cyclone implementation on the performance, fuel consumption, and exhaust emissions of a 1000 cc engine. The cyclone was designed with six fixed vanes at angles of 30°, 45°, and 60°, and tested using two fuels: RON 90 and RON 92. Engine performance was measured with a dynamometer across 1000–6000 rpm, fuel consumption was evaluated using Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC), and exhaust emissions were analyzed with a gas analyzer. Results indicate that the 60° vane angle delivers the best overall performance, achieving a maximum power of 34.1 HP, peak torque of 57.4 Nm, and the lowest SFC of 93.33 g/kWh. Additionally, CO and HC emissions were reduced by up to 40% compared to the baseline (non-cyclone) condition. Among the tested fuels, RON 92 consistently provided better performance and lower emissions, highlighting its higher combustion efficiency. These findings demonstrate that the turbo cyclone (particularly at a 60° vane angle) effectively improves engine efficiency, enhances output, and reduces harmful emissions.
