Abstract

Selama ini, masyarakat belum mengelola daerah pesisir pantai terutama Pantai Muara Indah dikarenakan kurangnya informasi dan komunikasi. Padahal seiring dengan meningkatnya jumlah penduduk dan wisatawan yang datang berkunjung ke Pantai Muara Indah, terjadi peningkatan permintaan wisata sebagai kebutuhan sekunder. Masyarakat mampu mengelola kawasan wisata pantai yang menarik serta menjaga lingkungan sekitar. Masyarakat mampu melakukan promosi sehingga banyak wisatawan yang datang ke kawasan wisata pantai, sehingga tercipta pasar yang dapat menambah pendapatan masyarakat sekitar.

Abstract

This study shows how the implications of the strengthening strategy and recommendations for the SMEs development policy strategy in Medan City. This study is very important in the context of developing SMEs as creative economic activists in the future. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. In general, qualitative research is not patterned with a design format consisting of three models, namely descriptive format, verification format, and grounded research format. The subjects of the study were 120 respondents of SMEs actors registered with the Medan City Cooperative and SMEs Service, which became the object of the study, namely about SMEs empowerment through strengthening the creative economy to accelerate poverty alleviation in Medan City. The sampling technique used was purposive sample with data collection using questionnaires. The results of the study stated that the development of creative economic handicrafts in Medan City was carried out by optimizing human resources through skills development and training. The right approach and strategy in developing handicraft innovation is with 5P (enabling, strengthening, protection, support, and maintenance). Because this strategy can cover all lines of the creative economy in handicrafts in order to increase local economic potential. The strategy for developing handicraft businesses in Medan City uses the SO strategy, where this strategy is used to utilize existing strengths and opportunities to minimize weaknesses and threats by relying on product advantages and expanding market networks outside the Medan City area. The novelty in this study is that this study is more comprehensive (comprehensive) in examining the acceleration of poverty alleviation in Medan City with the right strategy in increasing the selling value of SMEs products.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of farmers towards the use of irrigation facilities in an effort to increase the income of paddy rice farmers (Case Study: Paddy Rice Farmers in Indonesia and Malaysia. The method used with the Likert scale is a scale used to measure, behavior, attitude or opinion of a person or group regarding a social event or phenomenon. The results of the study show that the perception of paddy rice farmers towards the use of irrigation facilities in Indonesia, that the highest Score Index is found in the use of fertilizer (98%). With the use of irrigation facilities, it is more economical to use fertilizers. The respondents' answers were 9 (30%) farmers who stated that they strongly agreed, 12 (40%) stated that Sutuju and 9 (30%) stated that they were Neutral and the lowest score index was in the use of pesticides (75%). The use of irrigation facilities can reduce the use of pesticides. The respondents' answers were 5 (16.7%) farmers who stated that they strongly agreed, 15 (50%) stated that Sutuju and 10 (33.3%) stated that they were neutral. The perception of paddy rice farmers towards the use of irrigation facilities in Malaysia, that the highest Score Index is found in the land area (98%). The more land planted with rice paddies using irrigation facilities, the higher the production. The respondents' answers were 28 (93.3%) farmers who stated that they strongly agreed, 2 (6.67%) stated that they agreed and it was easier to manage land that uses irrigation facilities. The respondents' answers were 26 (86.6%) farmers who stated Strongly Agree, 4 (13.3%) stated Sutuju, so with the hope that all rice farmers want irrigation and the lowest score index is in the use of pesticides (78%).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of entrepreneurship education in improving students' creativity in entrepreneurship. The results of this study are expected to be input for the development of entrepreneurship education in universities in order to encourage the birth of intellectuals who choose careers as entrepreneurs. Ultimately, with the increasing number of student graduates who choose to become entrepreneurs, the problem of limited job opportunities can be overcome, so that it is hoped that economic development in Indonesia will continue to increase and progress. The method used in this study is to use a literature review. Entrepreneurship education is a process or activity carried out in order to instill an entrepreneurial mentality, transmit knowledge and entrepreneurial skills to students through formal educational institutions (universities) and non-formal institutions (training institutions) in an effort to utilize business opportunities. Creativity Entrepreneurship is a driving force that makes someone do a new business as a long-term career. The drive can come from within oneself such as the intention and desire, or from outside such as advice, suggestions and input. Entrepreneurship education plays a very important role in increasing Student Creativity in entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This study demonstrates how identifying and developing marketing strategies for whiteleg shrimp farmers in Pematang Guntung Village is crucial, and the identification of appropriate marketing channels is crucial. This study is expected to formulate external and internal factors that can be used to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and recommend more effective marketing strategies, enabling farmers to increase income and obtain certainty about selling prices. The subjects of this study were six whiteleg shrimp farmers in Pematang Guntung Village, Teluk Mengkudu District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The sampling technique used was a purposive sample with data collection using a questionnaire. This study uses a SWOT analysis which is an analysis to systematically identify various factors to formulate the right strategy in the cultivation of whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). The results of the study state that the Internal factors used to see strengths are: 1). Getting assistance from the government, 2). The ordered shrimp are in accordance with consumer demand, 3). Adequate facilities and infrastructure, 4). Having a skilled, experienced and highly dedicated workforce, 5). Easy to get seeds and which are used to see weaknesses: 1). The product has not met customer demand, 2). Product promotion does not use media, 3). Unable to fulfill shrimp orders quickly, 4). The product is not durable, 5). Lack of technology that can support whiteleg shrimp cultivation. External Factors used to see Opportunities: 1). Many people interested in vannamei shrimp in the market, 2). Having a relatively high selling price, 3). Big business opportunities, 4). Technological improvements that can increase production, 5). Government policies that support and are used to see Threats: 1). A lot of competition in selling vannamei shrimp, 2). Not all of the released shrimp fry can develop well, 3). Consumer orders are not always fulfilled, 4). Lack of interest of the younger generation to cultivate vannamei shrimp, 5). Pest and disease attacks. Based on the SWOT analysis diagram that explains the external and internal factors in cell (quadrant) I shows the SO (Strength-Oppourtunities or Strengths and Opportunities) strategy, namely marketing shrimp by calculating production costs and looking at market prices. Collaborating with potential customers. Increasing the use of technology in an effort to increase production and in the SWOT matrix, namely supporting an aggressive strategy. This strategy explains that the strategy is very profitable for the business because it has opportunities and strengths in business progress, especially the vaname shrimp farming business in Pematang Guntung Village, Teluk Mengkudu District, Serdang Bedagai Regency.
