Abstract

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a critical role in supporting national economic growth. The MSME sector has been particularly hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has disrupted supply and demand as well as supply chains, causing the economy's wheels to grind to a halt at the MSME level. MSMEs must be supported by the government and other stakeholders in order to grow and develop. The goal of empowering MSMEs is to achieve a balanced, developing, and equitable national economic structure, as well as to boost regional development, job creation, income distribution, economic growth, and poverty alleviation. The East Java Provincial Government has developed a policy as a strategy for empowering MSMEs in East Java, so that MSMEs are not disrupted in their development process during the pandemic.Keywords : strategy, MSME empowerment, pandemic

Abstract

The National Economic Recovery Strategy in East Java is really a plan or map to help leaders or direct organization in East Java in economic recovery efforts, handling the pandemic of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) or responding to threats that threaten the economy or financial system as well as economic rescue in East Java. This article was written using a qualitative descriptive method with interview and documentation techniques. The information of this research is officials who are in the Regional Development Planning Agency of East Java Province who are members of the National Economic Recovery Program in East Java through East Java Bangkit, so that the authors can present data systematically, factually and accurately regarding facts in the field. National Economic Recovery Strategies in East Java include recovery of trade and industrial activities, overcoming trade barriers both import duties and import export regulations, budget allocated for health and education in order to ease the burden on society, increase disposable income through creative efforts, encourage household consumption, which is a contributor to aggregate expenditure, continues the subsidy program for small industries and cooperatives as well as optimism for East Java's economic growth.

Abstract

Mitra PKM adalah Bank Sampah di Kelurahan Gunung Sekar Kecamatan Sampang Kabupaten Sampang. Permasalahan ditinjau dari aspek manajemen adalah warga sekitar mitra di Kelurahan Gunung-Sekar masih belum mengenal manfaat bank sampah. Disisi lain nasabah Mitra belum mampu mengidentifikasikan ragam jenis sampah rumah tangga dan memisahkan sampah organik maupun non-organik. Dari aspek pemasaran, nasabah mitra mengalami kendala pemasaran produk kerajinan berbahan sampah non-organik: kertas (koran dan kardus), kaca, plastik, dan metal. Metode kegiatan adalah: (1) pelatihan kepada nasabah Mitra tentang manfaat Bank Sampah dari aspek lingkungan dan ekonomi, (2) pelatihan kepada nasabah Mitra untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dalam identifikasi ragam jenis sampah rumah tangga dan memisahkan sampah organik maupun non-organik, dan (3) pelatihan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan nasabah Mitra supaya mampu melakukan pemasaran online produk kerajinan berkualitas di media sosial. Luaran kegiatan adalah: peningkatan jumlah nasabah Mitra, peningkatan omzet usaha transaksi sampah non-organik mitra per-bulan, dan pemasaran produk kerajinan di media-sosial oleh nasabah Mitra.
