Abstract

The Nyama documentary is as a counter-discourse on intolerant attitudes in Indonesia. Nyama film was the result of research and creation of written and audio-visual data documentation of the acculturation of art and culture in the Muslim village of Pegayaman Buleleng, Bali. It was an observational/direct cinema-style documentary film acculturation of Hindu and Islamic arts and culture in Pegayaman Village, Buleleng, Bali. The Nyama film identified the perceptions and acculturation of art and culture in Pegayaman Village, Buleleng, Bali. It was a qualitative descriptive research method. Sources of data obtained through a purposive sampling method were done by accidental sampling technique. The location of the sampling was carried out in Pegayaman Village, Buleleng, Bali. The method used in achieving these goals was Representing reality. The documentary tells an event or reality (facts and data). Principally, documentary films are based on facts and are demanded to be loyal to those facts. Discussion of research and creation of this movie is the observational/direct cinema documentaries. This film tells the story of several people in Pegayaman Village. The subjects in this film are not in the same condition but are equally struggling to preserve the acculturation of Hindu and Islamic arts and culture in the Bali region. The information building in this film was a combination of interviews with selected subjects. The results of the research and creation were in the form of Nyama documentary films. The Nyama documentary is an acculturation campaign for arts and culture and a counter-discourse on the intolerant attitude of Indonesian society that is multicultural and has the character of Indonesian nationality.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create a Musical-Drama Television Film titled “Bung Karno di Bawah Pohon Sukun” (Bung Karno Under the Breadfruit Tree), a television film that was initiated to form real learning spaces in the film industry for university students; refresh the creativity of the program in the world of industry (DUDI) in Bali TV; and create a work that provides learning related to the values of nationalism. This product is made of five episodes of 24 minutes each. In short, this film tells the story of Bung Karno's contemplation period when he was exiled in Ende, Flores. After the script preparation, the script breakdown was carried out with workshops, pre-production, and production. The workshop stage was carried out for the maturation of the script material and strengthening the appreciation of the characters. The resource persons presented are as follows: I Gusti Putu Bawa Samar Gantang, Jean Couteau, Warih Wisatsana, Heny Shanti, Happy Salma, and Ida Bagus Purwa Susila. All stages of production have been carried out, namely pre-production, production, post-production and distribution stages. The pre-production stage carried out was the preparation of the script, script breakdown, survey of shooting locations at Nusa Penida, Bangli, and Singaraja, wardrobe, logistics, transportation, accommodation, equipment check, casting, reading, recce, and Pre Production Meeting (PPM) which was attended by the entire division. The second stage is the production that took place in Singaraja, followed by the post-production stage of editing and music scoring. The theory used to dissect this film is the theory of mise en scene (Roland Barthes) to describe the visual aspects of the frame. The research method is descriptive qualitative analysis of the constituent elements and structures of the Musical-Drama Television Film "Bung Karno Under the Breadfruit Tree".   The results of the analysis show that the role of institutional leaders, partners in the world of work, lecturers and university students in this Matching Fund (MF) program is the result of the collaboration between the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar (ISI Denpasar) and Bali TV to actualize the independent learning curriculum for independent campuses (MBKM) at ISI Denpasar. In the implementation of the MF for television film production titled "Bung Karno under the Breadfruit Tree", there were 16 students in the seventh semester taking the MBKM class. The involvement of students from Film and TV Production Study Program, Music Study Program, Fashion Study Program, Dance Study Program, and PSP ISI Denpasar Study Program in the production of this film is an effort to hone and train hard skills and soft skills of the students. They were actively involved in collaborating and practicing directly the process of preparing scripts, music, wardrobe, and artistic arrangements in film directing by being given responsibilities according to their respective divisions as film work colleagues. They could also study cases in the field accompanied by a supervisor when there was a problem in the process. Program-based learning in the form of film production involving Bali TV as partner and also supported by PT. (Limited Incorporation) Silur Barong and movie studio Bali (MSB) to strengthen the character of students who are ready to enter the industrial world. In the production of the television film "Bung Karno under the Breadfruit Tree", Bali TV as a partner contributed to the publication of activities in the form of behind-the-scenes (BTS) shows, talk shows to the screening of a 5-episode Television Film series.

Abstract

Wastra Bebali telah mengalami degradasi dalam pemaknaan dan produksinya. Wastra Bebali merupakan contoh yang baik untuk memperlihatkan satuan budaya material yang memiliki fungsi sebagai pembawa pesan tentang kearifan lokal, seperti makna simbolik dari warna, angka (urip), sakral dan profan, reinkarnasi serta hubungan antara manusia, alam dan Tuhan dalam kepercayaan masyarakat Bali. Film dokumenter Chanda Aksata yang berarti nyanyian suci tanpa henti merupakan konsep penciptaan film dokumenter berjenis metafora. Pendekatan Film-Eye Theory, gaya expository digunakan dalam pendekatan kualitatif. Metode analisa menggunakan metode analisis interpretatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi partisipatori, wawancara yang mendalam, dan kepustakaan. Dalam proses pembuatan film dokumenter ada tiga tahapan yaitu praproduksi, produksi, dan pasca produksi. Film dokumenter Chanda Aksata Wastra Bebali dilakukan di desa Sidemen dan desa Budakeling, Karangasem. Proses pembuatan film melingkupi pembacaan literasi lontar tentang keberadaan wastra Bebali, persiapan menenun wastra Bebali hingga pergelaran art fashion yang memadukan wastra Bebali kuno dan Replika Wastra Bebali. Output penciptaan karya berupa film dokumenter berjudul Chanda Aksata Wastra Bebali. Karya film dokumenter mengisahkan penenun Wastra Bebali, para tetua dan pandita dalam tutur aksara lontar serta art fashion performance sebagai strategi mempertahankan eksistensi Wastra Bebali dalam era kekinian.

Abstract

Proyek kemanusiaan ini dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas konten fotografi media sosial Bunga Bali Craft (Yayasan Bunga Bali), sebagai media publikasi kepada masyarakat. Media sosial merupakan sarana berkomunikasi di era digital yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk promosi usaha dan media publikasi. Instagram, dengan fiturnya dapat memudahkan setiap orang untuk ber swafoto maupun upload video. Instagram dapat dipergunakan untuk memajang produk dengan konten berupa foto yang menarik, video dengan visual yang indah dan caption (deskripsi) produk tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan ilmu pengetahuan fotografi yang diperoleh selama di bangku perkuliahan sebagai solusi permasalahan kualitas konten fotografi di media sosial Bunga Bali Craft. Publikasi foto produk di Instagram bisa menjadi sebuah usaha promosi untuk mempertahankan eksistensi maupun meningkatkan penjualan kerajinan oleh penyandang disabilitas Yayasan Bunga Bali. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan deskriptif kualitatif, melakukan wawancara kepada informan, observasi, analisis data, menentukan ide, konsep dan teknis pemotretan fotografi. Hasil wawancara dan observasi di analisa permasalahannya untuk kemudian di cari solusi. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini berupa akun Instagram baru Bunga Bali Craft disertai konten visual menarik, pemotretan katalog produk dan edukasi pemanfaatan Instagram kepada Bunga Bali Craft. Adapun pesan yang disampaikan dalam penelitian ini, agar setiap usaha baik kecil maupun besar dapat terbuka wawasannya untuk memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai alat berkomunikasi maupun publikasi kepada masyarakat luas sebab cara tersebut relatif murah dan efisien. Konten berupa foto dengan visual menarik, merupakan bagian penting yang tidak bisa dilewatkan begitu saja. Sebab, apa yang kita tampilkan di media sosial adalah yang kita komunikasikan kepada publik.

Abstract

This research focuses on the actualization of women in the domestic area in the film Galuh. This film is an interesting study because the content in this film that contains local wisdom with the source of film ideas from marriage Pada Gelahang and also emphasizes the identity of conventional women with their domestic space. The formulation of the problem in the research is how the actualization of women in their domestic areas in the film Galuh. The purpose of this study is to study the actualization of women in their domestic territory in the film Galuh. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, with interpretive analysis. This research uses film’s elements such as narrative film and cinematic as well as ecofemism to present the spectrums that are seen in films that show women in quite different ways by complementing Galuh and which load more in the domestic area. The results of this study provide a specific understanding of Galuh through narrative and cinematic films that depict Galuh and her daughter as conventional and unconventional female characters with their domestic space.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis wacana liputan Bali TV dalam kasus bentrokan antara desa Kemoning dan desa Budaga, Klungkung, Bali, yang meletus 17 September 2011. Liputan kasus ini memojokkan Gubernur Made Mangku Pastika, seperti hendak membubarkan desa pakraman atau desa adat di Bali. Gubernur Made Mangku Pastika tidak menerima dan melakukan somasi bahkan menuntut Bali Post secara perdata di Pengadilan Negeri Denpasar. Hubungan antara Gubernur Made Mangku Pastika dan Kelompok Media Bali Post (KMB) yang pada awalnya baik kemudian menjadi konflik yang serius. Wacana pemberitaan Bali TV yang ikut memperuncing konflik menarik diteliti untuk mengetahui agenda subjektif di balik politik berita. Data utama penelitian ini adalah wacana pemberitaan Bali TV kasus Kemoning-Budaga berupa dokumentasi materi yang pernah ditayangkan. Teori yang digunakan ada empat yaitu teori wacana, agenda setting, framing, dan semiotika. Keempat teori diaplikasikan secara eklektik untuk menganalisis secara kritis proses pembentukan wacana dan wacana tanding pascabentrok Kemoning-Budaga. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma wacana kritis, pendekatan fenomenologis, dan metode kualitatif. Hasil analisis bahwa wacana liputan pascabentrok Kemoning-Budaga di Bali TV merupakan perpanjangan wacana Bali Post yang dikelola dengan agenda setting untuk kepentingan sosial, politik, dan ideologi Ajeg Bali KMB. Pada saat yang sama Gubernur Made Mangku Pastika juga melakukan wacana tanding dengan memanfaatkan kehumasan Pemprov Bali dan media di luar KMB seperti TVRI Bali dan Radar Bali.
