Abstract

Kacang panjang termasuk dalam Famili Fabaceae dan merupakan salah satu komoditi sayuran yang banyak diusahakan di daerah dataran rendah pada ketinggian 0-200 m dpl. Permintaan kacang panjang dipasaram terus meningkat, namun pasokan kacang panjang terbatas. Peningkatan produksi kacang panjang dapat dilakukan dengan cara perbaikan tingkat kerapatan tanam. Untuk meningkatkan hasil polong kacang panjang, bisa dilakukan beberapa upaya seperti dengan pengendalian kultur teknis. Bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas serangan hama dan penyakit dan perbedaan pengaruh pengendalian kultur teknis terhadap dua lahan tanaman kacang panjang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan kacang panjang milik petani di Kecamatan Lempuing, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara pengamatan langsung (Scan sampling) persentase serangan hama dan penyakit pada pertanaman kacang panjang.  Pengambilan sampel pada praktek lapangan ini diawali dengan menentukan jumlah guludan yang akan diamati. Penentuan skor gejala serangan hama maupun intensitas penyakit di lapangan ditentukan dengan mengamati gejala masing masing serangan hama dan juga penyakit pada tanaman kacang panjang.  Secara keseluruhan intensitas serangan hama dan penyakit pada lahan kacang panjang 1 milik Bapak Johari lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan lahan 2 milik Bapak Sutekno. Ada beberapa faktor yang mungkin mempengaruhi hal tersebut diantaranya tanaman rotasi yang digunakan, umur tanaman, penggunaan fungisida karena lahan 1 tidak menggunakan fungisida sama sekali sedangkan lahan 2 milik Bapak Sutekno mengaplikasikan fungisida pada tanaman kacang panjang miliknya. Kata kunci : tanaman kacang panjang, hama dan penyakit.

Abstract

Cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.) sangat digemari di Indonesia karena rasanya yang pedas dan mengandung banyak vitamin. Namun, produksi tanaman cabai rawit dapat menurun disebabkan oleh teknik budidaya yang kurang maksimal sehingga tanaman rentan terhadap serangan hama maupun penyakit tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan membandingkan tingkat serangan penyakit pada tanaman cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.) berdasarkan perbedaan cara budidayanya pada dua lahan petani yang berbeda sehingga didapatkan cara budidaya terbaik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan cabai rawit milik petani di Kecamatan Lempuing, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Metode pengamatan yang digunakana dalam penelitian ini yakni metode survei yang dilakukan secara purporsive sampling. Hasil pengamatan di lahan cabai rawit ditemukan tiga penyakit tanaman yaitu penyakit virus kuning, virus keriting, dan bercak daun. Perbandinagn penyakit virus kuning di lahan milik bapak firman dan bapak narno tidak berbeda nyata. Sedangkan, perbandingan penyakit virus keriting dan bercak daun di lahan milik bapak firman dan bapak narno berbeda nyata. Kata Kunci : Cabai Rawit, Teknik Budidaya, Penyakit Tanaman.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Cabbage is one of vegetable crop belongs to Genus Brassica, a member of Family Cruciferae (Brassicaeae). The crop is originally from subtropical areas and has long been cultivated in Indonesia. Crop landscape ecosystem is very dynamic, both of its biotic and abiotic factors. Plant disturbing organism is an obstacle and production limiting factor in Indonesia either fir food crops, horticultural crops or estate crops. Inter cropping is cropping pattern cultivating more than one crop species in an area at the same time. Intercropping is one of efforts in agriculture intensification program to optimize crop production and maintain soil fertility. The objective of this field study was to know the effects of cultural technique on pest infestation on cabbage cultivation in Village Kerinjing, Sub district Dempo Utara, City of Pagar Alam. Observation method applied was conducted using purposive sampling method. Data collected was primary data in the form of damage intensity and secondary data collected by interviewing farmers. Based on the analysis of weekly data of damage intensity of three different cabbage cultivations in Village Kerinjing, there was no significant difference among the tree cultivations. Abstract

ABSTRACT Red chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) is a vegetable crop belongs to Family Solanaceae. The high daily demand of the commodit have made the crop become strategic commodity. In the cultivation of red chilli, there are some obstacles faced by the chilli farmers. The main obstacle is disturbance by pests and diseases. The damages caused by pest had reduced the crop yield because the crop cannot growth and development optimally. The objective of this field study was to know the effect of cultural technique on pest species, population and damage caused by the pest on red chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) in Village Kerinjing District Dempo Utara, City of Pagar Alam, South Sumatra. Observation method included sample land determination, sample plot determination, and sample plants determination, also observing pest population and damage intensity caused by the pest. Observation was conducted in 3 red chilli cultivations of different ages. Pest population and damage intensity were analysed using analysis of variance with 5% degree of significant. Pest found in red chilli cultivation was Spodoptera litura (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae). Based on field observation, the difference in cultural technique among the chilli cultivation sampled had significant effect on pest population and damage intensity caused by Spodoptera litura. Abstract

Terong (Solanum melongena L) merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura di Indonesia yang diyakini sebagai sumber beberapa zat gizi esensial yang dibutuhkan oleh tubuh manusia. Produktivitas terong di Indonesia cenderung meningkat setiap tahun. Namun, produksi terong masih belum mampu memenuhi permintaan pasar yang tinggi. Hambatan terpenting dalam upaya peningkatan produktivitas tanaman terong adalah terganggunya Organisme Pengganggu. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas penyakit yang menjangkiti dua lahan budidaya terong yang memiliki teknik budidaya berbeda. Penelitian ini dilakukan di lahan terong milik petani di Desa Gunung Cahya, Kecamatan Buay Rawan, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Metode observasi yang diterapkan dalam praktek lapangan ini adalah metode observasi langsung di lapangan yang dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 2 penyakit yang menyerang 2 lahan terong yang diamati, yaitu penyakit bercak daun (Cercospora sp), dan penyakit virus kuning. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terhadap kedua lahan milik petani berbeda secara signifikan penyakit yang menyerang tanaman terung, Hal ini dikarenakan adanya perbedaan dalam teknik budidaya tanaman tersebut.

Abstract

Citrus (Citrus sinensis L.) is an important agricultural commodity and currently occupying the important place in agroindustry, either as fresh fruit or processed products. On of obstacles in the citrus production is the present of crop damaging insects which has been making farmers confused to control. Most of them do not know how to the species or type of insect infesting their citrus cultivation and also do not know how to control them. The objective of this field study was to know the effects of cultural technique culture on the insect population and their damaging effects on the citrus crops (Citrus sinensis)in District Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra .The method reseacrh was survey method started with the determination of survey location, sample plots, sample crops and observation to collect data on insect population and the intensity of damage made by the insects. The study was conducted in two different citrus cultivations. Data of insect population and damage intensity produced were analysed using T test with significant level 5%. The insect found on citrus trees was Toxoptera citridus, (Hemiptera: Aphididae).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Entomopathogenic fungi are classified as a fungus that infects insect pests. Hyphae color that comes out of the insect's body depends on the type of entomopathogenic fungus that attacks it. The purpose of this research is to explore, isolate and identify entomopathogenic fungi that attack insect pests. Samples of dead insects were taken from vegetable crops in the highlands of Pagaralam City and the lowlands of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. In addition, exploration is also carried out using insect bait methods. This method is carried out on soils taken from the highlands of the fencealam area and Pekanbaru area. Based on the results of entomopathogenic expolation in vegetable plants that infect insects in the field there are 2 types of fungi that attack the insect. Two types of entomapatogenic fungi were found to have characteristics, namely the first hyphal color is rather green which covers the entire body of the insect and the second is white hyphae. The fungus that attacks the insect, then isolated to the GYA media found two entomopathogenic fungi namely, Metarhizium sp. and Beauveria bassiana. Meanwhile, through insect bait using soil T. molitor larvae, one species of entomopathogenic fungus was found, namely Metarhizium sp. The most infected T. molitor larvae in the soil of origin of Pekanbaru in the 2nd and 4th weeks, namely, 21.90 and 29.33 tails. . Keywords: Entomopathogenic Fungus, Insect Pest and Tenibrio molitor

Abstract

Gambas (Luffa acutangula L.) atau oyong merupakan famili dari Cucurbitae, yang berasal dari India dan telah beradaptasi di Asia Tenggara salah satunya Indonesia. Gambas sangat digemari oleh masyarakat, sehingga kebutuhan gambas meningkat. Akan tetapi, di dalam budidaya gambas sering sekali mengalami gangguan oleh hama dan penyakit. Sehingga produksi gambas menurun akibat serangan tersebut. Serangga yang terdapat pada gambas memiliki beragam dan memiliki peranan masing-masing. Keberadaan serangga pada lahan pertanian dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor biotik dan faktor abiotik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman serangga pada tanaman gambas (Luffa acutangula  L.) dilahan dengan pola tanam monokultur dan dilahan tumpang sari. Metode pengamatan serangga ini dengan menggunakan metode Scan sampling dan Pantrap. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat 5 ordo serangga yang terdiri dari ordo Diptera, Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, Orthoptera dan Hemiptera. Keanekaragaman serangga pada lahan monokultur dan polikultur tidak berbeda pada pengamatan langsung tergolong rendah, sedangkan menggunakan perangkap pada masing-masing lahan tergolong sedang.

Abstract

Palm oil (Elaies guineensis Jacq.) belongs to the palm group which produces oil and is used as a raw material for the food and cosmetic industries so that palm oil occupies an important position in Indonesia. One of the obstacles faced in increasing the production of oil palm plants is the attack of plant pest organisms. One of them is the presence of pests. One of the important pests on oil palm plants is the leaf-eating caterpillar, namely the fire caterpillar (Setothosea asigna). Setothosea asigna can cause oil palm plants to suffer leaf damage up to 50%. So that it can cause oil palm plants to lose production up to 78% in the first year after the pest attack and 40% in the second year after the attack. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in population and intensity of pest attacks on two oil palm fields with different plant ages. This research was conducted in Gunung Cahya Village, Buay Rawan District, South OKU Regency. Observations were made by survey methods and direct observation methods (Scan sampling) by calculating the number of populations and determining the intensity of pest attacks. Then the oil palm plants were observed as many as 30 plants/land and the data obtained were carried out by t-test. The results showed that the population and intensity of attack of Setothosea asigna in land 1 was lower than in land 2. In land 1, oil palm plantations had produced good fruit, so treatments such as fertilization and land clearing were routinely carried out. While on land 2 oil palms have not been properly cared for because the plants are in their growth period or TBM (Immature plants) and during their growth period, corn is still planted between plants.

Abstract

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is one of important crops in current era because the crop produce staple food for more than half of world population. Rice cultivation has been facing many obstacles to reach the expected yield. One the causes is the attack of rice pests causing damages on vegetative and generative stages of the crop, and these would lead to yield reduction. The purpose of this research was to determine the method of cultivating rice plants and arthropods and the level of pest attack. This research was carried out in May 2021 with a survey method on five different rice fields in Bumi Agung Village by interviewing farmers to obtain information about farmers' behavior in rice cultivation and observing insect pests in rice plantations. The results obtained from field practice were the discovery of three pests in rice plants, namely Oxya chinensis, Acrida cinerea, dan Atherigona sp. The control carried out by farmers in controlling pest attacks is in the form of jajar legowo, technical culture such as land management, fertilization, weeding and others which are included in integrated pest control (IPM).From the observational data analyzed that the application of integrated pest control (IPM) has proven to have an impact on reducing pest attacks where out of 5 paddy fields that were observed, the 5th land belonging to Mr. Agus was found to have few insect pests and weeds in his rice fields with an average of 0%.
